"Don’t call Xiaoguai, I’m not your Xiaoguai. You just like cats, not the current ."

"I don’t."

"You do, you just do. You’re so nice to Xiaoguai but so harsh to ." Wen Xiao’ai’s voice grew more and more aggrieved as she spoke.

Is she... jealous of herself?

"Xiaoguai..."

"Don’t call that. I don’t want to go back with you. Keep your Xiaoguai." Wen Xiao’ai said as she tried to open the car door to get out.

But before she could figure out how to open the door, Jun Moyan grabbed her wrist.

"Let go of ." Wen Xiao’ai tried to pry his fingers off.

Jun Moyan stretched out his hand and captured both her wrists.

Furious, Wen Xiao’ai lowered her head and bit down on his wrist.

In her anger, she didn’t realize her own strength, and she bit him hard enough to draw blood.

Yet Jun Moyan still didn’t let go, not even a furrow in his brow as he allowed her to bite him.

As the tallic taste of blood beca stronger, it wasn’t until a good while later that Wen Xiao’ai, who had cald down by then, loosened her bite and saw the bloodied wrist she had bitten. She instantly regretted it.

Raising her head, she looked at Jun Moyan, her full, red lips stained with his blood.

"Still angry?" Jun Moyan asked.

Wen Xiao’ai’s nose tingled, her lips trembled, and tears suddenly stread down her face. The next second, she threw herself into Jun Moyan’s arms and began to cry unhappily.

"Wu wu, Jun Moyan, you’ve made so mad. You don’t trust , you pinch , you scold , and you even want to send away, wu wu..."

Jun Moyan’s body stiffened, completely unsure how to comfort her.

In the end, he awkwardly lifted his hand and, like before, petted her head.

"...stop crying."

"You don’t know how scared I was. I didn’t know anyone, I didn’t know where to go, I couldn’t even find my way ho, wu wu..."

Wen Xiao’ai was overwheld with misery, crying harder and harder.

She had never suffered much since she was little, usually surrounded by people who would console her at the smallest grievance.

Dependent on Ye Qi, she ca to this unfamiliar, constrained world and couldn’t find her way ho. It was no wonder she panicked without her only support.

"It’s okay, no more crying," Jun Moyan said, petting her head over and over, with the sa patience as when he used to sooth her.

"Wu wu... Are you going to send away again in the future?"

"No."

"Then, do you admit you were wrong? Do you have to stand in the corner when we get back?" She sobbed with a shuddering body.

"Yes."

"For how long?"

"Until you’re satisfied and no longer angry."

"That’s more like it."

After venting and crying, Wen Xiao’ai felt much better.

Sniffling quietly, she nestled in Jun Moyan’s embrace.

It took her a while to step back out of Jun Moyan’s arms.

Jun Moyan reached out, wiping the tears from her face.

Wen Xiao’ai pulled at his sleeve and rubbed all her tears and snot on his clothes.

A smile spread across Jun Moyan’s lips.

"Such a child."

"I’m not a child. I’m almost five hundred years old."

"..." The smile at the corner of Jun Moyan’s mouth stiffened a bit.

"For us demons, five hundred years is like eighteen years for humans. I’m almost of age too."

Jun Moyan paused for a mont, digesting the information, then asked, "Xiaoguai, why did you suddenly transform into a human?"

"Didn’t I tell you this morning? I’m a cat demon. I sneaked out from ho to play in your Human Realm. Who knew the portal would glitch, causing damage to my inner core and reverting back to my true form. Then I ended up falling into that little grove and sohow got hit by sothing, losing one of my lives."
