Hit by sothing?

That was the shot you took for ...

Truly silly but adorable.

Jun Moyan thought about that night in the grove, feeling very fortunate that he had taken her back with him then.

"Cat Demon... Is there really such a thing as demons in this world?" It was simply too fantastical to comprehend.

Had it not been for seeing it with one’s own eyes, no one would have believed it.

"Of course, there are plenty of things that you humans don’t know exist, and demons are just one of them," he said.

Jun Moyan felt like he was listening to a tall tale, ridiculous but he had no choice but to overturn his past beliefs and accept it.

Because lately, there had been many strange incidents that couldn’t be explained by science.

Jun Moyan rembered the last ti Ais suddenly vanished into thin air...

So it was very likely that the person behind Ais wasn’t human either.

And then there was the red-eyed crow that turned into black smoke and disappeared.

"Are we humans the weakest?" Jun Moyan asked.

"Mhm," nodded Wen Xiao’ai. "But you humans don’t need to worry. The other Five Realms have rules that forbid arbitrary visits to the Human Realm, not to ntion causing harm at will. Serious infractions can lead to equal retribution."

So what exactly did the crow and its master want to do?

"Then do you know what that red-eyed Blood Crow is all about?"

"That Blood Crow is from the Demon Realm, I don’t know what it wants here. Next ti I encounter it, I’ll catch it and ask," Wen Xiao’ai was curious as well.

Jun Moyan nodded slightly and said no more.

The information he had learned from Wen Xiao’ai, he truly needed ti to gradually digest.

Seeing Jun Moyan quiet, Wen Xiao’ai furrowed her little brow: "You’re not suspecting that I am in cahoots with that Blood Crow, approaching you with an ulterior motive, are you?"

Jun Moyan was startled, raising his eyes to look at her, eting her clear eyes.

After a mont of silence, he said, "Then tell , are you guys together in this?"

"Would you believe if I said we weren’t?" Wen Xiao’ai asked, none too pleased.

"I would."

"Of course, I’m not with that Blood Crow."

"I am a demon, that is a devil, what kind of relation could I have with it? Besides, what’s so valuable on you that I would approach you for?"

Err... not counting that energy~

"Then that’s fine," Jun Moyan nodded.

"You, you just believe like that?" Wen Xiao’ai was sowhat taken aback.

"You said there’s no relation, and so there isn’t."

He trusted her.

He’d been taking care of her for two months and knew very well she was just like a little child.

Five hundred years old, she was just a child who couldn’t be without him, liked sticking to him, prone to tears and tantrums, and needed his care.

Seeing that he really believed her, Wen Xiao’ai felt a bit regretful for her overly harsh tone just monts before.

She pouted slightly, feeling a bit guilty.

Looking down at his wrist, where she had bitten him and drawn blood, Wen Xiao’ai felt even worse. She asked softly, "Jun Moyan, does your hand hurt?"

Jun Moyan raised his hand and brought it to her lips: "Blow on it for ."

Without hesitation, Wen Xiao’ai took a breath and blew on his hand.

She blew very earnestly, as if truly believing a few breaths would take the pain away.

Jun Moyan watched her serious little face, thinking back to the ti she sat on his lap with a baby bottle, blowing on his arm just the sa.

The corners of his mouth couldn’t help but lift into a faint smile.

At that mont, his gaze at Wen Xiao’ai was exactly like the one he had cast upon Xiaoguai back then.

After blowing for a few monts, Wen Xiao’ai looked up at him, her face contorted in a pained expression.

"Jun Moyan, I’m really hungry."

Jun Moyan raised his hand and gently ruffled her small head: "I’ll take you to eat in a mont."
