After Andy Bennet and Alia exited the room, Milan walked into Abigail’s office. She glanced at the man sitting on the sofa, who appeared relaxed as he read a business magazine, seemingly unconcerned about his surroundings.
Milan was puzzled because the man had arrived with Andy Bennet. Yet, she hadn’t seen him leave the room along with Andy and his secretary.
She approached Abigail’s desk and whispered, "Boss, who is that man? Why is he still here? Why didn’t he leave with Mr. Bennet?"
"Your other boss..." Abigail replied while continuing to sign a few more papers.
Milan thought for a few more seconds before gasping in surprise as sothing crossed her mind. "You an our chief financial officer?"
"Hmm, he was our CFO," Abigail replied with a smile. She then glanced at Sawyer, who remained absorbed in his magazine and shifted her gaze back to Milan.
"Boss, I can’t believe our CFO is so attractive. Why has he never co to our office?" Milan asked curiously.
Milan had always known other boards of directors in this office, but she had never witnessed their presence. This was the first ti she had seen this man in the office since she began working there.
Abigail laughed silently, seeing how curious Milan was now. "Well, he cos almost every day, Milan. But he never cos to this floor when you are around; he is on the fifth floor, " she explained.
Milan was surprised to hear that. She now understood the mystery of the fifth floor; they were all prohibited from going upstairs. And now she knows that floor was for the other board of directors’ office.
"Boss, no wonder you told us not to go upstairs. It turns out that’s where the board of directors works," Milan said.
Abigail stifled a laugh at Milan’s words. If only she knew that place—her love nest, as Sawyer put it—she would probably be shocked.
"Milan, you’re mistaken. The fifth floor isn’t the board of directors’ office; it’s my apartnt. If I get tired of working, I’ll go there to rest. I’m forbidding you from going upstairs because my husband is waiting for up there..."
Milan nodded while listening to Abigail’s response, but a mont later, she gasped in shock as a realization hit her.
"Oh my god, boss, wait, that man...?" Milan struggled to finish her sentence, too stunned by her own thoughts. "Y-Your husband?" she finally managed to say.
Abigail nodded. "Yes, he is my husband; his na is Sawyer Jones," she replied, glancing at Sawyer, who was still oblivious to their conversation and utterly absorbed in his magazine.
It took a mont for Milan to understand Abigail’s words. But, seconds later, she whispered, "Heaven! B-boss, I know it! I know it!"
Milan covered her mouth with her hand, worried the man might notice them. She quickly glanced at him and saw that he was still intently reading the magazine before turning her attention back to Abigail.
Abigail chuckled softly as she organized her desk. She had finished her work for the day and planned to go ho and rest.
Milan walked over to Abigail’s desk and helped her tidy it up before leaning closer and whispering, "I already suspected that man must be special. But Boss, didn’t you say his na is Sawyer Jones?"
"Yes, Milan, you heard correctly..." Abigail glanced at Milan, guessing what was on her mind. "Why are you still staring at like that? Is there anything else you want to ask?" A faint smile appeared on Abigail’s lips.
Millan raised her thumbs in approval, her gaze warm with happiness as she praised Abigail.
She playfully said, "My beautiful Boss, no wonder you’re not interested in Mr. Andy Bennet, the owner of the Silverstone Group. Your husband is much more powerful; he cos from a wealthy and influential military family in this country. I’m so happy for you, Boss..."
Abigail nearly coughed when she heard Milan’s comnt. Milan might have been even more shocked if she had known that Sawyer owned the Silverstone Group.
Not wanting to delay any longer, Abigail grabbed her bag and gently patted Milan’s shoulder. "Please keep my husband’s identity a secret. I don’t want others to know who he is," she requested.
"Y-Yes, Boss. I promise not to tell anyone," Milan responded, forming a V with her fingers in a gesture of assurance.
"Alright, let introduce you to my husband, Milan..." Abigail said as she walked over to Sawyer. She smiled as he finally looked up from his magazine to look at her.
"Sawyer, this is my assistant, Milan..."

After leaving the Callia Modern Design Building, Abigail was puzzled that Sawyer did not drive directly to their house; instead, they headed to a restaurant by the beach.
"Are we having lunch here?" she asked.
"Yes..." he replied.
Abigail gazed at the beautiful scenery surrounding the restaurant, amazed at how stunning it was. She rarely visited this side of the city and had always wanted to stroll along the beach, but the cold weather had kept her from doing so.
They arrived after lunchti, but the restaurant remained bustling with activity. It’s unusual for Sawyer to take Abigail out to eat, especially at a crowded seafood restaurant like this one.
"Why are we coming here?" Abigail asked, looking up to et his gaze as they walked in. "Don’t tell you wanted to surprise again."
"Oh, my wife, how did you know?" He playfully answers her. When he saw she was about to say sothing, he continued, "Well, soone wanted to have lunch with you."
Sawyer leads Abigail to the second floor.
"Soone wants to et !? Who?" Abigail asked curiously, looking around the second-floor hall for a familiar face. But she saw no one she recognized there.
Sawyer didn’t respond but smiled at her before walking toward the corridor lined with several doors. Soon after, he stopped walking, glanced at her, and opened the VIP door.
Abigail was surprised to see the familiar figure sitting inside and waving at them.
