"Why do you want her and not ?!" Kiara screams, so angry she’s breaking the door.
"Let her co in, Leader Bono. I can deal with her myself." Astri says, sighing and holding her head, having a headache.
"No. I’ll deal with this once and for all." Bono says, and asks to open the gates.
The guards open the gates, and Kiara marches inside, wanting to rip Astri’s head off. Bono steps in front of her, and she hits her face on him like she had hit the wall.
"Ow! Bono! She attacked first, I’m just fighting back! No skeleton can hit and walk alive. I need to prove myself and put this outsider in her place!" Kiara angrily says to her.
"I saw everything. Are you calling blind? You were disrespecting her, calling her nas, you touched her, and she defended herself better than you could ever do." Bono says.
"She just.. took unprepared. Now, she won’t surprise ."
"She could have killed you. If you’re here, it’s because she decided not to kill you. If you can’t live with the dishonor, you’re free to leave the tribe."
"Why are you defending her so much?! And don’t tell it’s because she’s more valuable!"
"Are you a doctor? If you’re, you’re halfway to be more important than her. Besides, she’s pregnant, and soone like you can’t stress her."
"Are you seriously wanting to be her male? She will die carrying your egg! She looks like an infant in front of you. She might die even when you fill her with your.."
"ENOUGH!! Kiara, whom I decide to be with is MY decision. Even if you were the last female here, I would never be your male. I can’t handle even your voice, your sll, and even your presence! Put that in your empty head once and for all!" Bono booms, and she shrinks a little in response.
She chuckles sarcastically.
"You’re strong, and I’m sure you would survive the backlash. I’ll just laugh at you when you beco crazy like your father."
"MY FATHER IS NOT CRAZY!" Bono roars.
Otto is impressed and smiles, happy to hear his son say that. Astri smiles proudly too.
"My father has a better understanding of the world than all of you. If he had to be blad for sothing wrong, it is for accepting a female that was so selfish and evil like you. Who sold herself to the King and got killed for not handling the consequences of her choices!" Bono angrily says, glaring at her and making her shrink more after each phrase. "Now leave. And never again co here or even get near her. She’s here for a few days and did more than you ever did for the tribe."
"Humph.. At least I give birth to useful beastn. She’s carrying sothing useless inside of her."
All of Astri’s spouses, at the sa ti, looked at Astri, knowing that Kiara had hit Astri’s weak spot. All of them ran to her to try to stop her, but it was useless because she flew quickly to Kiara and Bono.
Bono looks impressed by Astri’s pure white wings and for appearing there so fast.
"I’ll give you the opportunity to take back what you just said." Astri glares at Kiara.
"What? That what you have inside of you is useless? Why should I take back the truth?" Kiara chuckles.
"Astri. I can kill her for you. Don’t risk your safety for this low female." Kangki gets to her first and says, holding Astri’s hand.
"Kill ? Low female? What are you? A feral? Females can’t be killed." Kiara snorts.
"Try ." Kangki says to Kiara, his eyes dark as an abyss and scaring her.
"What are you..? You’re creepy."
From nowhere, they hear a boom. Astri kicked her face strongly, and she fell on the ground, holding her face startled.
"This is my house. You speak poorly of our Leader. Of the Elder. Of my spouses. Of my children. Of my unborn. I won’t just kill you now because continuing the way you are, you will die either way." Astri says.
Kiara stands up, angry.
"What do you an?" Kiara asks, towering Astri.
"Look at your skin, you have more diseases than I ever saw in one female. By your breathing, I can already detect you have more fat on your heart than your belly. So, when you get into labor, your so strong body won’t handle it, and your heart will just stop working. And you will die in pain. You’re not just fat, you’re swallowed. And your sll is of a leaking thing between your dirty legs. You think you’re just ready all the ti? You’re sick. Making all your males sick because you don’t bathe or get cleaned. Let guess, you don’t drink water because peeing is painful." Astri said, shocking Kiara, and her silence was the answer everyone wanted to hear.
"Ho..How do you know that?"
"Are you deaf? I told you she’s a doctor." Bono says, annoyed.
"She has the worst lifestyle possible. If her males want to live longer, I advise them to make her change this lifestyle before she dies and kill them too." Astri says, crossing her arms.
Kiara’s males go to her, worried, pleading to her to listen to Astri.
"If you keep not drinking water, your body will literally dry from the inside out. It’s a painful death too." Astri says.
Kiara opens and closes her mouth, trying not to believe her but not being capable because Astri was right about everything she said about Kiara’s body issues.
"So.. I’m sick?" Kiara asks.
"Yes. In many ways." Astri answers.
"Then treat !"
Astri laughs.
"? After everything you talked about and my family? None of us will treat you. Good luck finding ’useful’ beastn to treat you." Astri says, then starts to walk away.
Kiara’s spouses ran to Astri, kneeling in front of her.
"She apologizes. Please treat her. Or at least tell us what to do. She can’t die." They plead.
"I didn’t hear her apologize. She needs to take responsibility for her actions and the things she says. Her actions have consequences." Astri says, and walks to her spouses. "I’m sorry for worrying you. I promise I won’t risk our new cubs or eggs. She took to the edge." She says to them.
They smile, Kangki is the first to hug her. He was more than happy to see her protecting him.
Bono and Otto are impressed after watching her apologizing to her spouses and also by hearing what she said to Kiara.
"All right! I apologize!" Kiara says, crossing her arms.
"For what?" Astri asks.
"For...disrespecting."
"Who?"
"You. Who else?"
"No. You can go."
"I apologize to you, your spouses, Bono and everyone. All right?! Please, help ."
"Hum... You will have to do exactly as I say if you want to live a long life. And if you ever bother again, I’ll never help you again."
"All right. I won’t bother. And I’ll follow what you say." Kiara says more calmly.
"Fine then." Astri turns to her again.
She explains everything about the hygiene, diet, and lifestyle she should follow for a healthier life. Claud cos with a little bag with dicines, and Astri tells Kiara and her males how to make the teas.
"But I must warn you. Any dicine, even if it’s natural, can be a poison if taken too much. So drink it for the six days we’re saying, but don’t co back with being dirty and having the previous life that made you sick. Because if you constantly need to go back to having dicine for this, you will end up sterile. In other words, you won’t be able to get pregnant ever again. Are we clear?" Astri asks.
They nod as an answer.
"Thank you, Doctor Astri. We will follow all these instructions very strictly." One of Kiara’s males says.
Astri answers with a nod because she’s tired of talking. Kiara could only hear and believe in Astri. The more she heard, the more she couldn’t deny that Astri knew what she was talking about.
"We hope you recover fast. We will build a place to receive people for treatnt. After the days of your treatnt are finished, co to us, please." Claud says.
Kiara nods, and then, finally, she leaves with her males. Astri goes to drink so water.
"Oh.. I was concentrating on not throwing up." Astri sighs, slling a fruit.
"She slled almost rotten indeed." Zin says.
"She had the nose of them all, and it doesn’t work." Astri says, sitting at the table again.
Everyone laughs out loud. Even Bono chuckled a little.
"She could sll colors if it wasn’t broke." Astri laughs with herself, and everyone laughs even more. "I’m sorry, Nature. What a horrible thing to say. I know."
She goes back to eat after asking soone to call Skalven and the children back. After Astri finishes eating, she’s feeling a bit worn out.
"You need to rest. Now that’s an order. We can take the lead." Wayde says to Astri.
"Hum.. Order. I like that. All right." She says, then kisses her spouses. "Trust them. Believe when I say they can help you build the greatest kingdom together." Astri says to Bono.
"All right.. I trust you." Bono says back.
For Otto, hearing Bono saying that he trusts soone, especially a female, is sothing very hard to happen. Seeing it happening in front of him made him be sure that Nature is already coming back to that place.
