VALENCIA’S POV
’Why are you boiling with anger? It’s normal for students to feel concerned about their professor,’ Aurora said as I was glaring at all the girls that were hovering around Shadow, asking him about how he was and if he was hurting.
This has been going on for ten minutes, and to say I was pissed would be an understatent.
’I am not pissed at the girls. Stop interpreting my actions wrongly. I am angry at this particular beta who vouches and keeps on telling to limit my interaction with the humans. But look at him, he is surely enjoying the attention. A typical example of hormonal n!’ I scoffed at my wolf, who humd.
I turned to look at Aiden, who was already looking at .
"What is it?" I asked, his blue eyes raking my face before he sighed.
"I am just wondering what kind of deep relationship you have ford," Aiden asked, and my heart skipped a beat.
Relationship? Relationship with whom? Is he suspecting anything? Then again, he often catches Shadow and together. Could it be about that?
"Relationship with whom?" I asked, wanting to clear any doubt if there was any here before it beca bigger.
"With trouble," Aiden smiled at before pulling my chair close so that our shoulders were almost touching.
"It’s tomorrow. The party I was telling you about. The one where all the elites of the city would be arriving. Will you be able to make ti for ?" He asked , looking at hopefully.
I couldn’t help but smile at him. I know what he was thinking about.
The last ti I t his father, his father actually hinted at sothing about joining their organization too. And I felt uncomfortable after that, making leave the dinner early.
He was probably thinking I would be uncomfortable this ti too.
But I wasn’t.
That ti also, I was uncomfortable because Dylan clearly warned to stay out of trouble, and I was barely establishing myself there.
The fear of being caught by the werewolves and being held captive was more at that ti when I was starting only.
Unlike all my friends here, I didn’t et Aiden at University.
In fact, I t him in one of the clubs where I was making a delivery from the restaurant I was working at.
I had no idea what was going on in there and walked straight into the middle of the fight between two gang mbers. It was more like a fight between the children of the two gangs who wanted to show whose father was more influential.
At that ti, I didn’t know Aiden was also a gang mber, and when one of the mbers from the opposite gang lifted the bottle to hit his head as soon as he turned around, I grabbed a bottle to counter it because I didn’t want to get hurt in the process and he looked like the person who was supposed to pay my order money.
Yes. I didn’t save him out of goodwill, but because I wanted my money.
We both got hurt because of the shredded glass, but it was nothing serious.
After three days, I saw him walking inside the University as if he owned it.
He was surrounded by his friends and girls swooning over him when he looked at .
He cornered , and his first sentence was,
"You already know who I am. I am sure you are intelligent enough to keep your mouth shut. If you dare to say a word about it, don’t bla if sothing happens to you,"
Anyone’s reaction would’ve been a simple nod or agreent. But I actually laughed in his face.
I told him he was too full of himself, and I had no interest in him, his shitty identity, or anything as a matter of fact.
The f*cking masochist has been following ever since, saying I was the first girl who acted cool around him and he wanted cool friends.
Now who will tell him I acted cool because I know they can’t harm to save their asses and I can actually shred them to pieces if I shift?
"Don’t worry. I won’t get awkward. You can’t bla for becoming uncomfortable with sothing that I had no idea about until I t you," I smiled at him helplessly.
’Look at this girl. Look at how smoothly she is lying. No idea about what it was? You unalive two rogues on the sa day. Have so sha,’ Aurora said, and I looked at her with a pout.
Why is she always onto ? Rather than supporting with my lies and ideas, she is always berating .
’At least still better than you who leaves her human as soon as the problem occurs,’ I scoffed at her, looking at Aiden who suddenly went silent.
"What happened?" I asked him, and he motioned for to look to the side.
I smiled.
"Am I in trouble?" I mouthed to him, and he nodded with a helpless smile.
I should’ve known. The familiar scent of the man around should be enough of an indication of where the trouble was coming from.
"Mind sharing with us, what is so funny, Miss Valencia?" He asked, and I turned to look at him, widening my eyes when I saw him leaning forward and my gaze landed on his creamy chest that was exposed right in front of because of his two undone buttons.
"I... Uh..." I stuttered, my gaze not moving from his chest.
I swear I was trying, but what kind of magnet did it have on it?
I could hear him exhale, and he probably already caught staring at his chest, which ant there was no going back anymore.
Thus, to save myself from any further embarrassnt, rembering how my breasts had landed on his face and getting up from that position nearly had digging my own grave.
The way he had looked into my eyes with a smirk, teasing further to elevate my shyness, keeping everything in my mind, I could only counter with this technique of mine.
"Step away," I said to Shadow, my voice coming out more neutral than I had thought.
"Hmm?" Shadow asked , confused, and I finally looked into his eyes to make my statent look more powerful.
"I said step away. Is this your decency, Mr. Shadow? Where is your moral of conduct? I get it that you saved earlier, but is this how you behave normally? How dare you lean on my desk when your cleavage is clearly showing? Do you have no sha?" I said, looking him straight in the eyes.
"Valencia, what are you doing? Stop," Aiden pulled on my top to calm , but I said what I said.
I glared at Shadow, who rather than getting angry at , only smiled before chuckling.
What the hell? Why is this funny for him? Why is -
I didn’t have to stay confused for longer, because the next thing I heard was-
"Miss Valencia! In my office, right now!" I turned to look at the right corner where the HOD of our departnt was sitting, and I widened my eyes.
What the hell?! When did he co here?
’When you were daydreaming earlier,’ Aurora said, and I locked my jaws.
The least she could do was warn .
’In my defense, you don’t exactly share your ideas with ,’ Aurora said, and I rolled my eyes before walking out of the classroom, not before glaring at Shadow one last ti.
