I looked at Shadow with wide eyes, trying to comprehend what was going on inside his head at the mont.
’Aurora, help . Try to sense his emotions. What do you think he will do next?’ I looked at Aurora for help, who pretended to look at her paws rather than hear , and I gritted my teeth.
Give it to my fake-wolf to leave alone whenever I am in an awkward situation and need her highly sensitive powers to help .

Seeing the dean coming towards the door, I bit my lips helplessly and flinched, shrinking further into the wall.
"I can save your cute ass here," he whispered to ever so softly, his lips brushing over my ears once again as he leaned to speak, and my heart skipped a beat.
I wasn’t a fool. There was no way a man like Shadow would help without any gain in his favor.
"What do you want in return?" I asked.
The dean would probably co here if Shadow didn’t reply to him any sooner.
The man pulled his head away, looking into my eyes, both of us breathing heavily because of our proximity.
"Give a kiss," He said, and I looked at him with wide eyes.
There is no way in hell he is serious about his request, is he?
"Don’t look at like that. I want to see what else that sharp mouth can do," He looked at challengingly, and I gritted my teeth before glaring at him when I realized he was probably serious.
The dean was almost near the door, and I was left with no choice.
With a dejected sigh, I stood on my tiptoes, making even Aurora widen her eyes because this was probably the first ti I was admitting defeat from sothing and giving in to soone’s request like this, and that to be an atrocious request like this.
I tilted my head slightly when an idea struck my head.
If I am doing this, I might as well do it properly.
With this thought in mind, I wrapped my hands around Shadow’s neck, locking them in a way so that our body was pressed together before I breathed into his ears.
"A kiss doesn’t have to be a kiss on the lips, right?" I asked before inhaling his scent, turning the tables on him, and doing the sa thing that he keeps on doing to always.
I pressed my lips on his neck, right at the point where mates usually bark at each other before smiling when I literally felt him shudder under my touch.
I didn’t remove my lips imdiately.
I lingered in the sa position for a couple of seconds before exhaling loudly in his ears and then distancing myself.
"There you go," I looked into his hazel eyes which seed to have darkened even more and were appearing really carnal in the dim light.
Shadow smirked at my antics, the kind of smirk that promised nothing good before he turned around, his warm back hiding completely.
"Everything is fine, Trent. I am just looking around. You were asking about so tea earlier. I think it’s the right ti for it. Prepare a little extra," Shadow smiled.
"Oh, okay. I will prepare the tea right away. Are we expecting any guests?"
"Yes, we are," Shadow said, briefly turning his head to look at , and my heart nearly leaped into my mouth when I saw the dean holding the door’s knob, making Shadow step back into , his body completely touching mine and pressing into the wall.
It was surprising how much my body and mind were enduring when it ca to Shadow. If it had been any other man from the werewolf community, especially soone from the pack who wants dead, my mind would’ve already filled with disgust, but when it cos to Shadow, he just feels like he has beco really close to .
Was Aurora right? Was our banter bringing us closer?
And if that was the case, it was the right ti to create my distance from this guy. Creating a relationship more than just a friendship and getting too comfortable with a pack mber like this was dangerous for .
I saw the dean opening the door slightly, but before he could open it completely, a phone rang in the distance, and he left, making sigh in relief and I leaned myself on the wall.
"By the way, kitten," Shadow turned to again, his hands on the wall of , trapping completely as he looked at with the sa predatory gaze that he had in the forest that night when he saved from the rogue.
"I was kidding earlier. Did you really think I would ask you for a kiss when your teacher and my other student were present here?" He asked.
I looked at him mouth agape when I realized, it wasn’t who played with him. I was the one who got played by him.

"Co out after a few minutes with your friend. I will cook up a lie to save your cute ass this ti. It would be far better than you jumping again and getting caught by my n who are already lurking around because they saw a mischievous activity at the bottom of this building," Shadow said before he turned around.
He was about to leave when he paused and turned to again, making stop breathing for a second as I didn’t know what to expect of him.
