VALENCIA’S POV
I couldn’t eat.
Even though my favorite food was right in front of , and I didn’t even have to pay for it because Aiden was treating , I still couldn’t eat.
And let tell you. I am one big hell of a foodie.
That’s why for a person like to not be able to eat, you can guess how serious my problem was.
And would you like to know what that problem was?
My problem was an extrely handso, mouth-watering, scent-bearing, slick, muscular, hazel-eyed man who had been looking directly at from across the table for quite so minutes now.
’Well, at least you agree that he is one hell of a man,’ Aurora winked at and I sighed.
Seriously? That wasn’t even the point. The point was that this man was intimidating !
’What if a man like this intimidates us in bed too?’ Aurora whispered sensually, making my eyes wide and I quickly averted my gaze, feeling my cheeks burn because of what kind of image my fake-wolf portrayed in my head.
I can’t believe she imagines sothing like that with a person who will decide whether we get to live or die.
"Do you not feel like eating?" Aiden placed his hand on mine, bringing out of my thoughts, and I imdiately looked down at his hands, my heart skipping a beat.
And why did my heart skip a beat so easily? Well because...
My gaze instantly went towards Shadow, and just like I had guessed, he had that knowing smirk on his face that promised nothing good.
"I actually... I got to go," I stood from my place, ready to leave when I saw Casper walking inside the canteen with his friends from his departnt.
I waved my hand towards him to let him know I wanted to talk to him.
"What’s up, Cia?" Casper imdiately looked at Aiden before looking back at , so strange emotion swirling in his eyes as always.
"I need your help," I went straight to the point.
"Help?" He asked, and I was about to tell him what it was when Angela joined us, and I pressed my lips into a thin line, feeling slightly guilty.
"What are you guys talking about?" Angela asked, locking her hands with mine.
"Nothing much. I just arrived. Valencia here said she wanted m-"
"- him and you to watch a movie with . Would you guys like that?" I quickly changed my sentence.
I knew Casper could see this wasn’t what I was going to talk about, but he didn’t expose , making sigh in relief.
"A movie? I think that would be great. Who else is joining us?" Angela asked.
I was about to say it was just us because all I needed was an escape from this situation and a way to tell her that I would be leaving the room, when soone chid in self-invited.
"Here," Aiden said with zero hint of what was going through his head.
I looked at Aiden, a little confused.
What was going on with him today? Didn’t he say he hates watching movies in the halls and prefers them at ho with a blanket and snacks?
Angela and Casper looked at as if waiting for so kind of confirmation from and I smiled awkwardly before nodding.
Well, it wasn’t even an option. If Aiden said he was coming, who was I to stop him?
"It’s decided then. Let’s et outside the CVR movie hall in the evening, yeah?" Angela asked.
I looked at her, a little hope, brewing in my heart.
Why was she talking about eting even when we both lived together?
Could it be that she is leaving for sowhere?
"Are you guys going sowhere?" I looked between the love birds and Casper smiled, a little shyly I must add.
"I am taking her to the forest," Casper said and I smiled.
I knew what he was talking about. It was a beautiful spot on the cliff, a perfect place to view the sunset.
It was unique in its own way because the place went from under long tree branches, and I accidentally discovered it while I was on the rogue hunt.
"Ensure to leave the place before it gets completely dark," I smiled at Casper.
Though it was a beautiful place, we couldn’t rule out the possibility of rogues lurking in the area even though that place was now under the Pack Protected Area.
I turned around to leave, not in the mood to stay at University anymore.
Yes, I know I lack credits, and I wasn’t leaving for the entire day, just for so ti until I got my head together and away from a particular beta who was sohow haunting my thoughts from morning.
Once out of the University, I walked on the side street towards the small cafeteria to eat sothing in peace.
’We are being followed,’ Aurora suddenly comnted.
I froze for a second before I continued walking normally, not wanting my stalker to know I had sensed him or her.
I tried to look behind myself through a car’s side mirror but so far, I didn’t have any luck and I gulped.
The cafeteria wasn’t too far from where I was.
Huh, I didn’t even have any weapon with apart from those daggers to defend myself.
Wait... Could it be the ...
"Is it the beta? He threatened us that he would follow us everywhere," I asked my fake-wolf who shook her head at .
’Doesn’t sll like him. Looks human,’ Aurora said, and I furrowed my brows.
Human? Why would a human follow ?
Co on. Don’t tell it was one of those stalkers who were stalking just because they wanted to talk to .
These boys can be really annoying sotis, and the worst part is, I can’t even retaliate properly in fear of hurting them and getting charged by the council indirectly.
The best option was to run to a crowded place where he wouldn’t be able to confront or express any kind of feelings -
I couldn’t even complete my thought when two cars stopped right beside and seven n dressed in black walked out of those two sedans, looking nothing less than people from a dangerous mob.
Perplexed.
That was exactly how I was feeling. And it wasn’t because I was scared of these seven n but because my fake wolf played like this.
"You said soone is following . How couldn’t you ntion how many there are?" I seethed through my teeth.
’I don’t know. Maybe my fake-wolf nose couldn’t pick on too many scents. My bad,’ Aurora smirked, and I literally wanted to knock her head open and see if there was sothing in there or not.
How could she get her human counterpart in trouble like this and even act smug about it? What the hell was wrong with her?
