VALENCIA’S POV

"Here?" Alina asked , and I nodded my head as I took her to the boxing ring I asked Aiden to allow to since it wasn’t the ti of the street fighting battle.

Alina looked at with a little wariness in her eyes and I smiled at her.

"But you said we are going to train our powers," Alina said, and I humd.

"We are going to train your physical stamina first and build you ntally before focusing on your powers since I am not exactly sure how to go get things done in that field and I can’t do this alone," I told her.

I was about to tell her to wear her boxing gloves so that I could show her a few tricks that she would be practicing while I started training myself.

However, before I could say anything, I saw a few n entering the boxing area.

"Hey, you guys-" I started, stopping when I saw Aiden walking ahead.

"Hey, I am sorry. You won’t have a problem if they train alongside you, right? Besides, you are in here just for fun. Dad actually didn’t approve of their leave since the tournant was coming soon," Aiden explained.

I looked at the n who walked inside before humming.

"I am fine as long as they keep their eyes to themselves and don’t bother my friend over here," I pointed to Alina and Aiden nodded at her in greeting before looking at .

He walked to with a reassuring smile.

"You don’t have to worry about that. These are professionals and respect won," Aiden said before he tucked my loose hair behind my ears, looking into my eyes intensely.

"Go on an ice cream date with later?" He asked.

This was wrong. This gaze he was holding that contained so much affection for was wrong. I didn’t want to lead him into thinking I might have a change of heart in the future and would give him a chance.

"I would love to join," Alina said before I could deny his offer, and I glared at the girl with annoyance while she grinned at like a kid.

"She wants to go," Aiden said hopefully and I massaged my forehead.

"Well, that leaves with no choice, no?" I asked and he mused at .

"It’s a yes, then," He clapped his hands before he turned around and started giving instructions to the people he brought on how to continue their training.

He never joined any training. Even when his father kept on urging him and saying that as the son of the leader of the gang, he should be taking things into his own hands, he never joined.

However, I knew today he was here just for . So that he could assure that I don’t feel uncomfortable with the presence of so many n while training.

That was how thoughtful he has always been and the reason why I didn’t get too angry that day when he lost it in a fit of anger which he still regrets.

As I saw the n starting their rigorous training, a thought crossed my head.

Rather than practicing on nothing, wouldn’t it be better if I trained with real people like them? They were training for combat too and I wanted to train for the sa reason.

’Don’t forget that you are a werewolf, Valencia,’ Aurora imdiately chid in and I chuckled at her.

’Last ti I checked, I couldn’t change into my werewolf,’ I grinned back at her while she rolled her eyes at .

I walked to them, making Aiden look at with confusion.

"Can you allow a couple of your n to fight ?" I asked him, keeping my gaze neutral and he looked at with raised brows.

He looked at his n, who had the sa surprised expressions as him. I honestly don’t bla them. For them, I was just a random college girl who was asking for a duel with them.

"Valencia, I know you are strong and know how to fight your battles, but this is real training we are talking about. These n participate in the state-level combat of illegal street fighting. There are no rules in this ga," Aiden warned , emphasizing the last part.

I nodded my head at his words.

That was exactly how that battle would be going to be. No rules, pure madness after you challenge a particular beta or alpha. It would be all about winning by hook or by crook. And that was exactly what I wanted to practice for.

I was too weak for that kind of battle.

With training rigorously, I first need to find out about my strengths and weaknesses. What are the things that I can use against my opponent better than them?

"I know," I said.

Aiden pressed his lips into a thin line, looking at as if I were so kid that he was having a hard ti explaining.

"That’s okay, sir. If she wants to train with us, there is no problem. We will try to be less violent. I think she wants to train with soone because that’s much more fun and nerve-wracking than training on the punching bag," one of the n said, and I clapped my hands in agreent

"Exactly! That’s the point," I said.

Aiden looked at and then at the man who said these words before sighing.

"Fine. But there are rules here. No fatal blows. Also, if you feel uncomfortable after any hit, you have to call off the fight, okay?" Aiden asked and I smiled at him before nodding my head like a diligent kid.

"I won’t let you down," I said to Aiden and was about to enter the boxing ring when Alina rushed to .

"I will cheer for you," She said excitedly.

I could not help but chuckle at her tactics. She really thinks she can fool .

"I am not fighting so kind of battle where I need your cheering. Rather than cheering for , how about you go and train a little?" I said, grinning when her smile faltered and she looked down at her feet.

She was running away from training. This girl, seriously. Sotis I wonder if she ran away from her kingdom because people there were forcing her to train her powers and she didn’t want to do it.

"Aiden, can you show so tricks to Alina? Sothing that she can practice by herself without getting hurt. Consider her a newbie at this. That would be better," I said and Aiden imdiately nodded his head before he turned to the girl.

I looked at the man and nodded at him, going inside the ring.

"I am Valencia," I extended my hand and he smiled.

"Sean," He said before shaking my hand and I smiled in return.

"Well, let’s have a good match," I said and Aiden imdiately ca to the corner of the ring to watch the fight.

"Valencia, rember my words. If you feel uncomfortable, imdiately call," Aiden said and I cracked the bones in my neck.

’Valencia, rember my words. You can’t be too harsh on humans. I never say a word when you go brutal Killing on the rogues but this is a different case," She said, and I humd.

’I will keep that in mind,’ I raised my gloved hands as I saw Sean moving towards when I wasn’t attacking, and before I could move, he threw his first punch that I barely dodged.

I looked into his eyes. I was underestimating him. He was quite good for a human.

However, his punch was more like a rookie player. He doesn’t have any tricks under his sleeves.

Or was he perhaps trying to go easy on ? I wondered as I looked at him, dodging his attacks skillfully as I jumped in the air before doing a sumrsault, looking at him again.

"Are you going to dodge only? Attack ," Sean was getting annoyed and I humd.

"Is this really all you have got? And here I thought you were so kind of professional fighter. I want you to bring out your best trick," I said, and Sean looked at , feeling provoked probably.

"Valencia," Aiden said to but I didn’t want to stop here.

I wasn’t training myself for so child’s play.

This was a waste of ti. I can’t exert too much energy because they are human, and like this things won’t get any better. It looks like I’ll have to go on rogue hunting to fight a few people.

"This is boring,’ I said before I rushed to the corner of the ring, and as Sean rushed to I slid from beside him, landing a roundhouse kick on his chin as soon as he turned to look at .

Without looking back I walked out of the boxing ring.

I didn’t need to look back to know he was knocked out already.

"Sean?" I heard collective gasps from around but I couldn’t help but sigh dejectedly.
