Apocalyptic World: Surviving with my husband and my cute little babies Chapter 17: Medicine dealer
Elena sat on the sofa in the living room, her phone in hand, ready to call the dicine distributor her Aunt Liza had provided.
She pressed the call button, and after a few monts, the call was answered.
"Hi, Shantel. This is Elena. I'm calling because my Aunt Liza recomnded you. She said you could help with a large order of dicine," Elena stated, maintaining a precise and professional tone.
"Oh, yes! Liza ntioned you'd be reaching out. What kind of dicine are you looking to purchase?" Shantel replied, her voice reflecting a business-like deanor.
"I'm interested in ordering a massive amount of over-the-counter dicine worth 150 million green coins. I also need so first-aid supplies," Elena outlined, sticking to the facts without embellishnt.
"That's a lot of order, Miss Elena. It's not that I can't manage, it's just that it will take a lot of ti on my side—maybe a month," Shantel explained matter-of-factly.
"Got it; as long as it's within the month, I can still donate it to the school," Elena responded, assuring her that the tiline was acceptable.
Shantel then agreed to her request, and they began discussing the specifics of the order.
"We have pain relievers and antibiotics available. I will also purchase additional over-the-counter drugs on my side. For first-aid supplies, I can provide a complete kit that includes bandages, antiseptic wipes, and gauze.
"I see no problem with that. Would you mind if I could also buy so non-over-the-counter drugs?" Elena inquired, hoping to expand her order.
"It's impossible, but I will see what I can do," Shantel replied, her tone suggesting she understood the request but recognized the limitations.
"Thank you for your help, Shantel. I appreciate it," Elena said, concluding their discussion positively.
"I will send the invoice shortly. After the paynt is processed, we can move forward with the order," Shantel assured her, clarifying the next steps.
After finalizing the details of the order, Elena ntioned,
"I have a rented warehouse for storage. Once you gather the dicine, you can call , and I'll guide you on where to place everything."
"Perfect. That will streamline the delivery process."
After the conversation was over, Elena felt a wave of satisfaction about the arrangents she had just made.
She hung up the phone and was about to stand up when it rang again.
Her uncle William called.
Speaking of the devil, he may have already sold his properties to gather 50 Billion green coins.
The thought of getting that money made her smile, as she desperately needed it.
Finally, her other hoarding agenda will be implented soon.
Deciding to play a little ga, Elena let the phone ring five tis before answering.
She wanted to annoy her uncle while also creating the impression that she was busy.
When she finally picked up, she could hear her uncle's angry tone imdiately.
"What took you so long to answer?" he yelled, frustration evident in his voice.
Elena couldn't help but smirk at his annoyance.
Did her cousin ntion the incident at the mall? Well, who cares?
"I'm sorry, Uncle. I'm busy preparing to go out of the city with my professor. As I ntioned, I'll be visiting the antique museum next week," she replied sweetly, acting as if she hadn't heard his irritation.
As soon as Arthur realized she was leaving soon, his tone shifted.
He didn't want to see her go without settling their agreent first.
"Niece, I'm just worried about you. Co back to the mansion this evening. Let's have dinner together with the family," he said, feigning concern.
"Okay, Uncle, I understand. I'll be there," Elena said, putting a cheerful edge in her voice.
They hung up, both feeling different emotions.
Elena sneered at her uncle's impatience, finding it amusing how worked up he was just to take the company.
anwhile, Arthur felt smug, pleased that he would finally get the company for himself.
Despite their contrasting feelings, both knew the call had done its job, and each got what they wanted in their own way.
