Tang Yiyi wasn’t really daring to hold out much hope in Pudding’s words, but she had no other option, so she had to grit her teeth and give it a try.

The mature male scorpion she had caught by the poisonous sting was constantly struggling. As soon as she slashed with the knife, scarlet flas surged up from the male scorpion’s body instantly! Obviously, it intended to burn her to death!

The searing flas were making Tang Yiyi very uncomfortable, but luckily she was a Fire Ability User. Sensing the riot of Fire Elent Energy, she desperately used her superpower to control it, managing to form a barrier between herself and the flas, keeping them from directly burning her body.

Then, with a "crack" sound, Tang Yiyi suddenly felt a tightness in her hand. Pudding didn’t lie; the Chef’s Knife easily sliced through the Red Fire Scorpion’s shell, and with successive "squish" and "crack" sounds, she finally cut off the troubleso poisonous sting.

The poisonous sting was the lifeline of the Red Fire Scorpion; once cut off, the male scorpion instantly beca weakened to the point of near collapse, even the flas on its body dimd. Just as Tang Yiyi was about to relax, she noticed the other male scorpion had already charged up to her with its poisonous sting raised high, viciously stabbing towards her!

She dared not slacken in the slightest, casually tossing the poisonous sting into her System Backpack, and then twisting her waist, she turned at an angle, and directly swung the Chef’s Knife to chop down!

Whether it was the Chef’s Knife being too powerful or the eruption of imnse strength in a tense mont, or perhaps both, the slash directly severed the male scorpion’s tail. The section attached to the poisonous sting flew out due to inertia, drawing an arc in midair before landing heavily on the ground.

Perhaps dying unreconciled, the broken tail and attached poisonous sting twitched several tis upon hitting the ground before gradually ceasing to move. The unlucky male scorpion was the sa, its remaining tail shuddered unwillingly a few tis, its body shivering continuously, but in the end, it couldn’t even spout flas, staring with its big eyes as it died.

Only then did Tang Yiyi breathe a sigh of relief, gathered up the Red Fire Scorpion’s carcass, and turned to see Li Zheng and Wu Tian frantically pulling each other along while fleeing for their lives!

Their faces were pale, running towards the combat vehicle while gasping heavily, appearing over-exhausted. Behind them, three mature male scorpions pursued relentlessly, occasionally ejecting bursts of fla, forcing Wu Tian and Li Zheng to desperately flee for their lives.

Wu Tian and Li Zheng were not Fire Ability Users; it was impossible for them to control those flas. Plus, they had already expended a lot of their superpower, leaving them unable to counterattack, only able to flee in wretched desperation!

Zhou Yang’s situation was sowhat better. After all, he struck first and being a Strength Ability User, after landing about ten blows even a mature male scorpion was beaten to the point of weakness.

However, he was visibly fatigued beyond endurance, leaning against the vehicle continuously panting, vigilantly watching the weakened male scorpion, waiting for it to perish. The scorpion occasionally spouted little sparks from its mouth, and Zhou Yang dared not approach.

The three of them were too tense, not even noticing Tang Yiyi’s situation, completely unaware she had already dealt with two mature male scorpions and was contemplating how to complete the mission.

Tang Yiyi wasn’t nearly as depleted as them; seeing the three male scorpions chasing ever closer, she simply charged forward from behind, with sand all around making her footsteps silent, snuck up behind the scorpions, and when the timing seed right, slashed at the scorpion tail!

All three male scorpions focused solely on chasing the prey ahead; the energy emanating from superpower users was intensely attractive to mutant beasts, like food releasing its tempting aroma, making mutant beasts unable to resist. Assisted by the system to conceal her energy emissions, the three scorpions remained unaware, her footsteps barely audible, allowing her to successfully ambush them!

Ahead, Wu Tian and Li Zheng were still fleeing for their lives; with the scorpions pressing so urgently, they dared not look back, completely oblivious to Tang Yiyi’s approach. Not until one of the scorpions was ambushed by Tang Yiyi, emitting a piercing scream, were they jolted in shock!

The unfortunate male scorpion wasn’t dead yet, but Tang Yiyi had no intention of waiting for it to die slowly. At this juncture, the other two scorpions had been alerted by their comrade and turned angrily towards her, charging fiercely!

Wu Tian and Li Zheng saw half a scorpion tail fly past them, eyes lighting up; they rushed over to pick it up. Then turning around, they saw two male scorpions charging at Tang Yiyi.

Li Zheng’s eyes flashed, instantly guessing it was Tang Yiyi who struck earlier. His face remained pale, but decisively he said to Wu Tian, "Go help!"

At this mont, Tang Yiyi was encumbered by the two male scorpions, unable to find an opportunity to slash at their tails. Li Zheng and Wu Tian noticed her plight, exchanged a glance, and imdiately sprang into action!

Li Zheng too thinly released an Ice Blade hitting the scorpion on the left, followed closely by Wu Tian unleashing his superpower, burying that scorpion with sand. Entangled by the two of them, the scorpion had no way to deal with Tang Yiyi.

Tang Yiyi saw Li Zheng and Wu Tian’s faces growing more ghastly, knowing that their opportunity was rare, hurriedly went to slash at the scorpion tail. Using her earlier experience, she executed with deft precision. Li Zheng and Wu Tian could only see her nimble stance, efficient motions, barring the weapon’s oddity, utterly flawless, worthy of a combat teaching demonstration!

Their superpower was almost depleted, essentially at the end of the tether, unable to trap the mature scorpion for long. Tang Yiyi had just dealt with another scorpion, and the trapped one was nearly breaking free.

Tang Yiyi saw this, unwilling to waste the chance their critical efforts had earned, swiftly rushed in; just as the scorpion broke free, she hacked at its tail!

Half the tail flew off, and the struggling scorpion instantly lost its strength, shuddering a few tis before falling motionless.

Tang Yiyi gathered up the scorpion corpses, gave the poisonous sting directly to Li Zheng. Both Li Zheng and Wu Tian were now utterly exhausted, though standing upright, their bodies wobbled incessantly, as if about to collapse.

Tang Yiyi gestured with her chin at them, "Get in the car first, need any help?"

Wu Tian and Li Zheng saw she wasn’t even breathing heavily, astonished beyond words; they exchanged a covert glance, watching Tang Yiyi striding towards the scorpion Zhou Yang had beaten nearly dead with the Chef’s Knife, agilely hacked off the poisonous sting, emotions suddenly more complex.(To be continued.
