Behind him, five figures appeared one after another, standing on either side.

On the left was General Monet, with twelve light and dark wings fully spread out.

General Darwin, surrounded by nanorobots spinning like a silver storm.

General Dominic, his crystal shields stacked up like walls.

On the right was General Claude, with a ghost palace shadow behind him.

General Philip, in a brand-new hero body, glowing with a soft golden light.

Logan said in a serious tone: "Five vs five. Pick your own opponent. Rember, our goal isn’t to kill, it’s to buy ti. The nuclear bomb still has eight minutes to go."

Monet took the first step forward, his eyes locked on General Duerer. "I’ll take on the Soul Bond."

Darwin nodded, and the nanorobots gathered into a silver flood, rushing toward General Lol. "Steel against steel. That’s fair."

Dominic clasped his hands together, and his crystal shields rose like a wall in front of General Xavier. "The puncher’s charge needs a strong defense to et it."

Claude took a deep breath. From the ghost palace shadow, countless heroes erged, standing face to face with General Sean’s ghost palace. "Sean... though you can’t hear now, I still have to say—wake up!"

Philip was the last to act. The cha "Hayya·Bakaz" appeared from thin air, wrapping him up completely. He rushed toward General Solomon. "Deceit light gates? Let see—your gates or my sword is faster?"

The five battles began at the sa ti.

Monet vs. Duerer.

General Duerer raised his right hand, spreading his five fingers.

Black soul bond runes burst out from his palm, moving like living things in the air.

Each rune stretched out a black thread, connecting to a rebel soldier far away. In just three seconds, fifty soldiers were linked as energy nodes.

Duerer’s voice was calm. "Soul Bond – Life Link. Now, every injury I take will be shared by them. And every attack I make will take their life force as power."

Monet’s face turned serious.

He spread his twelve wings, light and dark energy forming a spinning shield around him.

Half was pure holy light, half was deep darkness.

The core of the Fallen Angel Battle Style was balance, finding the ultimate power between light and dark.

Monet laughed coldly. He flapped his wings hard. "Duerer, I know your strength. Do you think this trick can scare ? Fallen Angel – Light and Darkness Judgnt!"

Holy light and darkness shot out at the sa ti, forming a spiral column of light in the air.

Where the column passed, space let out a painful sound.

Duerer didn’t move.

He raised his left hand, and the soldiers connected to him scread. Their skin began to wither, their eyes lost their light, their life force was pulled out by force.

Black energy rushed into Duerer’s body like a flood.

He pressed his hands together in front of his chest, and the soul bond runes ford a huge black shield.

The light column hit the shield.

No explosion. Only a violent destruction of energy.

Light and dark canceled each other out, black and white mixing into a gray chaos.

The shockwave spread, leveling the ground within a hundred ters.

In the dust, Monet took three steps back, his lip bleeding.

Duerer’s shield broke, and his face was also pale. But behind him, dozens of shadow puppets suddenly appeared, collapsing to the ground.

Duerer’s voice remained calm. "Do you see? This is the cost of soul bond." But the cost ans nothing to , because the one who always pays is never ."

Monet wiped the blood from his lip, his eyes burning with anger. "Using your comrades’ lives to fight. You really are no longer the Duerer I knew."

Duerer’s voice showed the first sign of emotion, though very slight. "I have always been . But... I’m now standing on the other side."

He raised his hand again, and more black runes poured out.

This ti, hundreds of shadow puppets ca out from behind him. It was clear that the Shadow had given Duerer a lot of good tools, and even provided a bunch of shadow puppets as blood bags.

At this mont, so familiar tars who followed General Monet ran up. They disobeyed the orders and didn’t stay to guard Saint Heart City. Instead, they ca as a suicide squad to help General Monet.

But as soon as they showed up, they were caught by Duerer’s shadow threads.

They tried to break free, tried to escape this death place, but the Shadow Beings’ control took away even that freedom. They could only watch as their souls were slowly taken away.

Then they turned into shadow puppets and joined Duerer’s army of blood bags.

Monet took a deep breath, and the light on his wings beca even brighter.

He knew this battle was far crueler than he had imagined. "Duerer, no matter if you still have a sense of self or not, after this fight, I’m going to beat you up!"

On the other side, General Darwin’s fight against General Lol was just as brutal.

Every ti General Lol swung his shadow energy blade, a black crack would appear.

These cracks spread like living things, trying to swallow General Darwin.

Around Darwin, nanorobots ford a flowing silver wall.

Every ti a black crack ca close, so nanorobots would rush forward and break themselves apart to neutralize the crack’s energy.

Lol’s voice ca out from the black inferno. "This is a pointless fight. No matter how many nanorobots you have, they will run out. But I have the whole battlefield’s shadow energy to support ."

Then, Lol raised his blade high. Black fog from the sky poured down like a waterfall, flowing into his body.

His power increased again, reaching thirty-five star peaks.

Darwin’s face was serious, but his hands didn’t stop.

The nanorobots began to change, switching from defense to attack mode. Countless small silver spikes shot toward Lol like a storm.

"Nano Storm – Piercing Heart!"

The silver spikes rained down on General Lol.

Each spike was made up of tens of thousands of nanorobots. They would break apart after hitting the target, destroying the enemy’s body at a molecular level.

But Lol just raised his left hand.

Black inferno burst out from his palm, forming a spinning whirlpool in front of him.

The spikes flew into the whirlpool and were instantly lted by the high heat.

The nanorobots didn’t even have ti to break apart—they turned into tal vapor.

Lol’s voice was filled with mockery. "Nano technology? You’re fighting on a microscopic level in front of ? You forgot, my strongest point is mass attacks."

Suddenly, Lol’s blade broke apart, turning into a fast-moving stream of sharp spikes that rushed toward General Darwin.

Darwin gritted his teeth. "Steel Field – Absolute Defense!"

The remaining nanorobots all ca back, forming a silver wall in front of him.

Black and silver collided.

This ti, it was a real microscopic war.

Two waves of nanorobots crossed in the air, biting, tearing, and devouring each other.

Each nanorobot tried to break the other apart, and each robot fought for control.

But Lol’s black nanorobots clearly had the upper hand.

They were smaller, faster, and carried shadow energy that was corrosive. Every ti they touched Darwin’s silver nanorobots, they polluted them.

General Lol stepped forward slowly, his eyes cold. "Do you see? This is the difference. Your nanotechnology is a tool, but mine is life."

"It gives them life, gives them the chance to evolve."

Darwin’s forehead was covered in cold sweat.

He could feel the control of his nanorobots slipping away.

Every second, thousands of robots were being polluted and taken over, joining the black flood.

But he couldn’t back down.

Because Logan needed ti.

Darwin bit his tongue, and blood spurted onto the silver wall. "Let’s see... is your shadow energy stronger, or is my will stronger?"

The life energy in the blood flowed into the nanorobots, and the silver light suddenly surged, pushing back the black flood for a mont.

But the cost was huge. General Darwin’s face turned pale as paper. This attack had nearly drained all of his nanorobots.

A little further away, Dominic was fighting Xavier. The black crystal under General Xavier’s feet had spread to a hundred ters.

Every ti he took a step, new crystals shot up from the ground like sharp knives, aiming directly at Dominic.

General Dominic’s crystal shields were constantly shaking under the attacks.

But he didn’t back down. Instead, he built a second layer, then a third, of defense behind his shields.

General Xavier’s voice was full of mockery. "Is that all you can do? Federation general, is that really your best?"

General Dominic stayed calm. "There’s nothing wrong with defending. As long as I can hold you back, that’s a victory."

He placed his hands on the ground, and ntal power spread like a spiderweb.

The ground began to crystalize, but not in black. It turned into clear crystal.

The two kinds of crystals collided and pushed against each other.

Black and clear crystals twisted in the air, making a sharp, unpleasant cracking sound.

In a open area far away, Claude was fighting Sean.

This was the cruelest battle.

Once good friends, now fighting for their lives.

From the ghost palace behind Sean, ghosts erged, each carrying their own battle skills from their past lives.

They rushed toward Claude like a flood, attacking wildly.

From Claude’s spirit palace, heroes also ca out.

Light and darkness collided in the center of the battlefield. Each clash caused several spirits to vanish.

But the spirits disappeared only to quickly be reborn in their own palaces. The core of the Spirit Palace and the Ghost Palace was immortality—no death, no end.

Claude shouted loudly: "Sean! Do you rember? We held the line in Golden Sand City for three days and three nights! You said, no matter what happened, we would protect the Federation together!"

Sean’s body paused for a mont.

The black inferno in his eyes showed a brief flicker.

But in the next mont, Shadow’s will forced its way through, and the black inferno burned even more fiercely.
