Vincent found it hilarious how determined she was that he was not going to win over her heart. It will be awkward in the future when he proves her to be wrong. With how easy it was to make her blush and fidget whenever he did the smallest thing, wooing her won’t be too hard. He’ll allow her to continue to think there was no way he’d charm her into being with him but then replay this mont in the future when they do get together. He desperately wanted to see her look of embarrassnt and excuse in the future because of this mont.

"Whatever you say," he replied patiently, waiting for the future to co and surprise her. Aurora was much more stubborn in the past than she was now and they sohow fell in love with each other. He had no doubt they’ll be together again. "Just prepare yourself for what I will do."

"What will you do?" Though she believed they wouldn’t be together she still wanted to prepare herself for what he planned to do so that she wouldn’t react to it and give the impression that it was working. She didn’t know where her stubborn nature ca from but she was sticking with it.

"I can’t tell you or it wouldn’t be a surprise. All you have to do is wait for your heart to be moved. Are you feeling better now? I’d rather see you work up than be in pain." He had drifted into the earlier conversation to make her think about sothing else and it seemingly worked.

Aurora hadn’t realized it herself that she was no longer scared or sad because of her past. "I feel much better thank you," she sat back down beside Vincent but not too close like before. Their conversation about him winning her heart hadn’t left her mind. For so reason, she felt more aware of him now. "Did you finish everything you were supposed to do when you left ho?"

"No. There was more to do but I can’t handle too many people annoying in one day. They’ll make smoke more than I need to calm myself. I don’t need to be shifting because of them."

"Can’t you control when you change into the alpha sotis?" Aurora asked curious to know more about Vincent. The fact that he could change into the alpha was amazing yet scary. Once you got used to it, it was amazing to see how such things exist in this world. She had to admit humans really were delusional with thinking they were superior creatures.

If many others like Vincent were to rise and try to take over the world, humans would be dood. Instead of fearing werewolves and other creatures, and making them angrier by trying to kill their kind, they should look for a way to find peace quickly or they might regret it one day.

"The spirit of the alpha can be said to have a mind of its own and feeds off of my emotions. Particularly whenever I get angry so I try not to. I have special cigars made to help stay calm. It’s not sothing I enjoy doing so the best solution is to stay away from people who make angry but I can’t. Being the leader, people co to with a lot of stupid things."

"You poor soul. Do you beco more powerful when you can’t control it?"

"Yes but still, I don’t want to change when I am not in control. The alpha is a wild animal at the end of the day and if I can’t control it, it might just go on a killing spree. The last thing I would want to do is go on a killing spree and hurt soone here. Or attack one of the human towns or villages nearby and then the wolves have to go to war because of . Scared?" He asked, noticing the change in her expression.

He understood if she would have the fear of thinking he could snap one day and turn on her. He’d been doing a good job at staying calm for many years and didn’t plan on breaking that record any ti soon.

"Strangely, I don’t feel scared. I trust that you won’t kill . At least I hope you don’t," Aurora chuckled, swinging her feet back and forth causing the bed to bounce because of her movent.

"I won’t. I quite like you alive more than dead and it’s hard to kill you. Why’d you think the Hamilton’s never attempted to, aside from the fact that they needed you?" She was still a creation of Artemis and that woman was hard to kill. If he attacked her, it would be a strong possibility that she could turn around and harm him, which was sothing he liked.

"I never imagined that I would be immortal or sothing but it makes sense why my bruises never hurt for too long. When I was younger, I thought I had a superpower when I had fallen down and scraped my knee in the garden but I didn’t really feel the pain. I was tempted to cut my hand with sothing to see if it would hurt but I didn’t have the confidence to and forgot about it."

Growing up with such a wealthy family, Minnie didn’t enjoy seeing Aurora, Regina, and even Samuel with too many cuts or bruises on their bodies. She always said it was improper to have those marks on their bodies. So, Aurora tried not to obtain too many cuts but when she played in the garden she would have one or two she needed to hide from Minnie. The scrape on her knee was the biggest one she ever had and when she expected it to hurt a lot, it didn’t.

"My my weren’t you just the adventurous child. I am glad you didn’t purposely wound your hand even though it would heal. Do I need to hide everything sharp in your room so that you don’t go around experinting again?" He playfully looked around the room.

"Of course not. I won’t be hurting myself any ti soon just because I can heal. I don’t want to see the blood and feel the sting of it. You were not an adventurous child when you were younger? I feel like you got into a lot of trouble."

"I did get into trouble for so of the things I did for ssing around with so of my peers but aside from that, I wasn’t as adventurous as you think. I preferred to stay in my ho alone because I disliked talking to people when I was younger. I still do now but it was more drastic in my youth. I can hear you laughing," he comnted, not having to look beside him to see that she was covering her mouth with her hands to hide the fact that she was laughing at him.

"You’re the first scary introvert I have ever t."

"You’re forgetting about Artemis. I liked being by myself when I was younger. I only did adventurous things when the elders here wanted to test out my abilities as they did with other children. As soon as that was over, I would go ho and shut myself in my room. Victor was annoying back then because he was always a social butterfly and brought people back to our ho." Though they were his brother’s guests, they always tried to make their way to Vincent’s room.

"How did you et Cherry, Derek, and Jane if you were such an introvert?"

"Cherry’s parents were close to mine so she was always around. It didn’t help that she liked my brother so it was two tis harder to get rid of her. I pushed Derek from a tree when we were younger-"

"Why?" Aurora interrupted, finding it to be so random. Why would you push soone from a tree?

"It was an exercise where all the teammates needed to finish together and he had climbed the tree to get away from having to do it. So I climbed up after him and pushed him from the tree. He kept following around to apologize for it and eventually we beca friends. Now unfortunately works for . Had I known that pushing him would’ve led to that, I would’ve left him in the damn tree."

"But you couldn’t because you wanted to return to your room and his laziness was stopping you," she chuckled.

"I’m glad you find it funny that I was a loner child. Derek didn’t want to interact with so of our peers because he was a part of the group that didn’t grow up well off. You should know by now that he is married to Jane. Jane was soft-spoken in the past because of her mother and I didn’t have a lot of interactions with her. One day, she ca and offered to work for which led to her mother pestering but that’s how she got together with Derek."
