Chapter 885: 302, Heir_3

Robert has already left Atlantic City to report to Harvard.

Old Carl, who ca to Atlantic City, was short one lackey, but soon, he found two others, Tyrone Capello and Joachim Lang, a pair of henchn, one fat and one thin.

With their company, as well as Old Carl’s robust health as the foundation, he once again beca the king of the red-light district in Atlantic City!

Indeed, many were the tis Donnie couldn’t help but marvel at Old Carl’s physical strength after hearing about these events!

Olden Van did not know any of this and said with a laugh: “Then fine, I’ll go find old father Carl right now!”

.

Late at night, a little past one o’clock nearing two.

Once again, soone arrived at Donnie’s office, Rhode Granger.

Originally, Deputy Director Wendell of the Bureau of Investigation wanted to investigate the Teapot Do scandal and dispatched Rhode Granger and others to look into the matter, which ant that at that ti Rhode Granger was not one of Hoover’s confidants.

But with Wendell’s downfall, instead of being blad by Hoover, Rhode Granger was actually kept on by Hoover because of his capability in investigating the matter and beca one of the very few people Hoover truly trusted within the Bureau of Investigation!

What Hoover did not know, however, was that Rhode Granger was actually Donnie’s man.

And now, Rhode Granger was also the one among those that Donnie had planted in the Bureau of Investigation who was doing the best!

“Boss!”

After seeing Donnie, Rhode Granger greeted him respectfully.

Donnie pointed to the sofa in front of him, smiling and said: “Have a seat if you’ve got sothing to say!”

Rhode Granger obediently took a seat. Donnie then pulled out the docunts Olden Van had given him earlier that day from his drawer and handed them to Rhode Granger, asking, “Take a look at the contents and see if there are any discrepancies with the materials Hoover is planning to seal?”

Rhode Granger took them, looked carefully, and then said, “At least in the materials I’ve seen, there are no discrepancies.”

Donnie nodded and asked, “How’s Hoover’s personal situation?”

Rhode Granger knew what Donnie was asking and replied, “At this stage, Hoover still very much needs your support, Boss, so I can sense that although Hoover definitely has his own ideas, at least for the next few years, he won’t do anything that’s detrintal to you, Boss.

Additionally, I’ve also noticed that Hoover has been frequently in touch with various political and business families lately. Although he has not explained the specific reasons for doing so, it’s clear that he certainly does not want to rely on just you alone, Boss.”

Donnie understood that if he were in Hoover’s shoes, he would make the sa choice, but that did not an Donnie wanted to see Hoover do this.

However, as it stands, Donnie needs to focus more on the Kuhn, Loeb & Co. consortium and let this matter take precedence over all others.

Moreover, once Donnie, along with Morgan, Rockefeller, and llon, have finished divvying up Kuhn, Loeb & Co. consortium, the influence of the New Jersey Consortium and the Tarot Society would increase.

Then it would be a natural course of action to resolve Hoover’s desire to have his feet in multiple boats!

“Very well, this information is very useful to us. Just stay comfortably at Hoover’s side, and as long as he doesn’t take any direct action against us, you can handle other matters on your own. I’ve already had Robert increase your clearance, and from now on, your monthly operational funds will increase by 20,000 US dollars!”

Rhode Granger expressed his gratitude: “I understand, thank you, Boss!”

After Rhode Granger left, Donnie finally stretched, his business for the day having finally co to an end.

After so thought, Donnie had Steve Cotting prepare a car, and he went to Janine Woburg’s apartnt.

The next day, Hoover left with Albert Furr back to Washington.

For the ti being, there weren’t any particularly important matters remaining for Donnie to handle. Three weeks later, one evening, Helen suddenly felt unwell. After being examined by the doctor residing at the beach estate, an imdiate conclusion was drawn that Helen was about to give birth!

This made the entire beach estate instantly busy, but fortunately, Donnie had already prepared all the necessary equipnt beforehand, so there was no need for a hospital trip.

However, that’s all Donnie could do; the rest was up to the doctor and Helen.

Hearing Helen’s screams inside, Alice also showed a look of concern.

Donnie could only soothe Alice for the ti being.

Once Alice had cald down, Donnie then rembered to notify the Taft Family, so he hurried to call William Howard Taft in the middle of the night.

After hearing the news, William Howard Taft said he would set off for Atlantic City as soon as it was light.

At the sa ti, Donnie’s core group in Atlantic City had also co over, and they took this matter very seriously. If Helen gave birth to a boy, that would be Donnie’s first son.

Although there is no primogeniture in the West, the first child is definitely soone to nurture carefully, aning this child would very likely beco the heir of the New Jersey Consortium.

Everyone was from the sa interest group, and if Donnie’s eldest son turns out to be a success, then everyone’s interests would certainly be protected!

Under everyone’s expectant gazes, a nurse ca out smiling, offering congratulations to Donnie; Helen had given birth to a 7.3-pound son for Donnie!
