Gastone stood there, taken aback. His mouth agape, yet no words managed to escape.

"I feel that Lucia isn’t that attracted to . She’s rely being polite because my mother is her client," Daniel mused, rubbing his chin thoughtfully as he reclined, lost in deep thought.

Gastone coughed lightly to clear his throat. "In what way should I help you?" he inquired, his confusion evident in his voice.

"Well, it’s quite obvious that many won are interested in you, perhaps even with intentions of ending up in your bed," Daniel hinted with a chuckle. He had noticed countless won flirting with Gastone, though he never seed to acknowledge their advances.

Gastone’s presence was one of the reasons why the restaurant was always packed with female custors, in addition to the delicious and flavorful dishes served.

"Heh, it seems won are drawn to you even more, Daniel," Gastone quipped with a fake smile, reciprocating the complint.

Daniel rolled his eyes. "Yes, it’s all because of my wealth. I can sense that right away!" he exclaid loudly.

Several female custors nearby glanced at Daniel with raised eyebrows, finding his statent offensive.

Gastone’s brow furrowed since he knew Lucia liked money and shiny things too and knowing Daniel thought Lucia was different baffled him in amusent.

"I see, and Miss... Lucia doesn’t?" Gastone crossed his legs, awaiting Daniel’s response.

"Well, initially, I thought she was a gold digger," Daniel explained, recalling their interactions. "But I can sense the disdain in her eyes when she looks at , even though she tries to be polite and nice..."

"Moreover, Lucia has never broached the subject of my wealth or hinted at buying her things. And, above all, sotis I catch her glaring at ... and strangely, I rather enjoy it!" Daniel’s body shivered as he recalled Lucia’s intense gaze filled with animosity.

"Huh...?" Gastone blinked a couple of tis, trying to ascertain if what he was witnessing was real. He noticed a faint blush tinting Daniel’s cheeks as he spoke his words.

"Anyways, I need your help," Daniel returned to his normal serious deanor.

Gastone sighed, feeling conflicted about what to do. Initially, he leaned towards saying no, as he felt it wasn’t his place to ddle in how Daniel pursued Lucia, especially considering Lucia was his mate. He wanted Daniel as far from her as possible.

However, after having a conversation with Lucia. Gastone ca to the realization that he needed to be involved. He understood the importance of investigating all the matters that concerned Lucia in order to gather information and address her worries.

"Alright, I’ll help. If you need anything, just give a call... if I’m not busy," Gastone stated with a sigh. While he agreed to help, he didn’t want Daniel to take advantage of his ti.

"Haha! You’re a good friend, Gastone! Thank you!" Daniel laughed, extending his arm and grabbing Gastone’s hand for a shake. "I’ll be in touch soon. For now, I need to devise the perfect plan to win her over completely until she’s mine for good."

Gastone’s eyebrow twitched upon hearing what Daniel said. He couldn’t imagine cooperating to his rival for his mate’s sake.

"Alright. I will get to work now," Gastone gave a slight smile as he stood up.

Daniel smiled happily as he waved goodbye to his friend. Enjoying his drink, he took in the scenery before him, paying no mind to the won who glanced his way.

On the other hand, Gastone didn’t know what to feel at that mont. He agreed to help for his own personal goal, but it still pained his heart.

"Boss," a worker ca to Gastone to assists him, but he was ignored.

Gastone went straight into his office at the back of the restaurant and locked himself. He grasped his hair in frustration as he started laughing at himself.

"Ah, why does it have to be in this situation?" Gastone sighed while shaking his head. He never thought he would be in a situation where he couldn’t even claim the woman destined for him by the Moon Goddess.

Gastone sat on the sofa and popped a can of beer from his mini fridge next to him. He never expected a mate in the first place after losing his title.

"Daniel.... What are you hiding that makes Lucia after you?" Gastone leaned back in deep thought. He finally knew Lucia was after soone that did harm to her and that related Daniel.

The more Gastone thought of it, the more his head started to hurt. "I should keep contacting her," he whispered, pertaining to Lucia.

Gastone slowly closed his eyes as sleep consud him due to ntal and emotional exhaustion.

Hours later, Gastone woke up to a ring on the telephone in his office. He rubbed his eyes as he slowly walked over to his desk and answered the call.

"Hello?" Gastone muttered, still half asleep.

"My dear friend!" Daniel’s voice bead from the other line.

Gastone froze as he looked at the phone. He blinked a couple tis to woke himself completely. "Daniel, you have called imdiately," he replied.

"Haha, yes!" Daniel chuckled on the other line.

Gastone sighed. Pinching the bridge of his nose. "You already need my help this early?" he asked.

"Ah, well. That will be nice, but this is sothing else... business related," Daniel explained, which gathered Gastone’s attention.

"Oh, what is it?" Gastone asked with interest. After all, he wanted to widen his business to increase the money flowing in his wallet.

"Haha! I have thought about this, but since you are now closer to more than just a good friend. I have a business proposal that will give both our business an advantage," Daniel explained briefly. He didn’t want to tell more details via phone.

Gastone thought about it for a second. "Well, I want to know more about this. Where can we discuss the proposal?" he asked, sitting in his chair.

"Co to my office tomorrow morning, Gastone," Daniel grinned on the other line. "I’m sure if you agreed with . Your restaurant will be an instant hit... like mine."
