Vicenzo had no choice but to follow Felissa since he was her knight. He put her inside the carriage and was about to hop back in his horse, but Felissa stopped her.

"Sir Vicenzo, ride with ," Felissa stated while grabbing Vicenzo’s shirt.

"Lady, I need to secure your safety, and I can’t do that by riding inside the carriage," Vicenzo stated coldly before shrugging Felissa’s hand away from him. He rode on his horse and went to the back.

Felissa’s chest felt a slight pressure from Vicenzo’s rejection. She thought she could get closer to him since they would spend ti together, but the coldness remained between them.

"Ah! I wonder where’s my mate," Felissa thought while leaning back. She looked outside the window and saw so couples walking around, clinging their arms around their partner.

"I’m jealous," Felissa whispered and hurriedly slapped her face when she felt dizzy. It was the first sign she could feel before her other side took over her body.

"No, not now!" Felissa squird in her seat while trying to subdue the feelings burning inside her. Sweat ford on her forehead, and she hurriedly wiped them. She didn’t want Vicenzo to see her like that.

Felissa leaned back and kept her breathing steady to take control of herself. She closed her eyes and tried to relax.

Vicenzo felt sothing strange coming from Felissa’s carriage, but he couldn’t understand what it was. He moved to the side and glanced at the window to see if Felissa was alright.

"Stop the carriage!" Vicenzo shouted before opening the carriage door. He frantically shook Felissa’s shoulder to see if she would respond to him.

Felissa furrowed her eyebrows since she wasn’t feeling quite well. She was about to fall asleep when she felt a strong force moving her body. She slowly opened her eyes and saw Vicenzo staring at her with panic.

The coldness was nowhere to be seen, making Felissa blink multiple tis to see if it was really Vicenzo.

"Sir..." Felissa whispered and sat up while rubbing her eyes. She felt a hand touch her cheeks, and instantly, she felt relaxed, as if the negative energy had left her body.

"Lady Felissa, are you alright?" Vicenzo asked, and his coldness returned.

"Ye-yes," Felissa replied with a nod. She swatted Vicenzo’s hand away when she felt her face burning up from his touch.

For Vicenzo, that gesture showed that Felissa hated his contact. He looked at his hand and made a fist, thinking he shouldn’t touch a Lady without her permission.

"Tell if you feel unwell, Lady Felissa," Vicenzo stated before leaving the carriage. He hopped into his horse, and this ti, he stayed by the side to see Felissa through the window.

’My body reacts to his touch and makes my other side settle down,’ Felissa thought while rubbing the cheek that Vicenzo touched. She didn’t understand how it happened, but she was happy since she had soone she could rely on if she couldn’t control her body.

The problem was if Vicenzo was willing to be touched by her.

After a while, they arrived at the city, and the carriage was parked on the side. Felissa went out while Vicenzo was waiting for her.

The two of them didn’t say a word as they walked on the road toward the nearest bookshop to look for the specific book that Rosina requested.

Felissa’s ankle still hurt from each step she took, but she could bear the pain. Vicenzo walked behind her as a guard for her safety. Although he was initially tasked to carry Felissa around.

"Lady Felissa, would you like to assist you?" Vicenzo asked when he noticed that Felissa was sauntering.

"No, I’m fine," Felissa replied and smiled awkwardly. She breathed out to prepare herself to take another step, but once she did, the pain struck.

Vicenzo sighed in defeat and thought about how stubborn Felissa was. He walked to the side and offered his arm without a word.

Felissa was surprised and didn’t know what to do at first. She was staring at him with wide eyes, hoping for an answer.

"You can use to put less weight on your foot," Vicenzo stated without looking at Felissa.

"Oh, okay," Felissa replied dumbfoundedly, hesitantly wrapping her arms around him. She could feel goosebumps when she could feel his muscles flexing under her touch.

Vicenzo coughed to hide what he felt and returned to being emotionless. He started walking slowly while flexing his arm muscles.

Felissa’s face was flaming up, and her knees started weakening. Her heartbeat beca irregular from too much excitent, and she was concerned that Vicenzo would hear them.

"We can go faster," Felissa stated softly upon seeing Vicenzo’s tiny steps.

"We can after your ankle is healed," Vicenzo replied sternly.

"Oh, okay," Felissa agreed and found it nice to hear that Vicenzo was concerned about her well-being, but her smile vanished when her brain decided to overthink.

’Maybe he’s only been nice to since he beca my knight?’ Felissa thought, and sohow that hurt her feelings.

Vicenzo looked down at her when he noticed that Felissa was pouting. It took him a lot not to smile at her cuteness.

After a while, they arrived at the pack’s biggest bookstore, which had almost all of the author’s work.

"Ah! We have arrived!" Felissa exclaid and was excited to enter, but when she took a forceful step, she nearly fell due to body weight compensation from the pain.

"Lady Felissa, please sit on the sofa for a bit. I’ll buy dication from the nearby pharmacy to ease your pain," Vicenzo stated before walking Felissa toward the nearby sofa inside the store.

"Okay," Felissa nodded and watched Vicenzo walk away from her in haste.

Felissa sighed when he was gone. She looked around and saw many wolves browsing the shelves for books. That made her interested in looking for sothing to read while she was in the Palace.

"I should find a romance novel to spend so ti with," Felissa muttered and stood up from her seat when soone tapped her shoulder. She turned around, and her eyes bulged in fear.
