Felissa took a step back with trembling eyes. She wanted to shout but didn’t want to cause commotion in public.
"Hello, Lady Felissa. How have you been?" Fabio asked gently and pushed the bouquet of flowers in front of Felissa.
"I’m good," Felissa replied flatly. She wanted to get away from him if he did sothing terrible again.
"I ca here to apologize personally to you. My behavior is not that great and caused you discomfort. Can we go sowhere private and talk these things out?" Fabio took a step forward to pressure Felissa to agree with his demand.
"I— " Felissa was about to answer, but Vicenzo arrived.
"The Lady has a task to be done today," Vicenzo stated sternly. His face hardened at the sight of Fabio getting closer to Felissa.
Before Vicenzo beca Felissa’s personal knight. He wanted to beco a Palace knight, specifically under Draco’s team.
But Rosina had called for him in her office in the middle of the night. He was nervous that his secret was revealed. Upon arriving, Rosina asked Vicenzo to beco Felissa’s personal knight to keep her safe from Fabio.
Rosina told him what happened back in the room where Fabio forced Felissa to be his mate. Vicenzo accepted Rosina’s request and did his job as a knight.
"Ah! Sir Vicenzo, we et again. Lady Felissa and I have sothing to discuss," Fabio stated with a prideful tone and looked at Vicenzo from head to toe, wearing knight attire.
Vicenzo looked at Felissa to know her answer. After all, he didn’t want to create a decision that Felissa didn’t want to.
Felissa started to panic since the two n were waiting for her decision. She took a deep breath and mustered the courage to speak firmly, but it ended up gentle.
"Lord Fabio, I wished to have so alone ti to shop," Felissa stated in an indirect rejection, but Fabio didn’t get the hint.
"Then that’s great. I’ll accompany you to your shopping," Fabio stated in delight since he had found a way to be with Felissa.
"Lord Fabio, we should part ways after what happened between us. I don’t want to experience that again and hope to have a good ti in the Sabrecrown pack. Besides, Sir Vicenzo is accompanying ," Felissa explained, gesturing for Vicenzo to co beside her.
"What?" Fabio exclaid in surprise and thought Felissa was joking.
Vicenzo followed Felissa and went behind her while glaring at Fabio.
"Sir Vicenzo might be busy since he’s a knight. He’s training to be assigned in the future. I think it’s better not to disturb his ti," Fabio stated as another way to convince Felissa to co with him.
"Lord Fabio, I—" Felissa was about to explain, but Vicenzo stopped her.
"Thank you for your concern, Lord Fabio, but the Queen has assigned to beco Lady Felissa’s personal knight," Vicenzo explained and stepped forward to hide Felissa with his body. It was a show of dominance toward Fabio that he wasn’t scared of him.
"Oh, Her Majesty," Fabio muttered and crossed his arms. He was not acknowledging their words since he thought they were trying to get him away, but Fabio didn’t want to risk it if it was true.
"Alright, you win this ti," Fabio muttered with a glare before turning his back and leaving the bookstore.
Felissa sighed in relief that Fabio was no longer around. She smiled and happily went in front of Vicenzo. "Thank you!" she exclaid.
Vicenzo stared down at her without a word and turned his back. That was when they realized that several wolves inside were staring at them.
"Ah, we gathered a bit of a crowd," Felissa stated and went closer to Vicenzo’s back since she was embarrassed at what happened.
Vicenzo ignored them and went to the counter where the librarian was located.
"We need a book," Vicenzo stated firmly.
The librarian lifted his face and glanced at Felissa before returning his gaze to Vicenzo.
"What’s the book title?" the librarian asked.
"The Bite," Felissa replied instantly with a proud smile that she finally got the book Rosina wanted.
The librarian raised an eyebrow and looked back between Felissa and Vicenzo. He wasn’t moving until Vicenzo slamd his hand on the counter.
"We’re in a bit of a hurry," Vicenzo whispered while lowering his head toward the librarian.
"O-okay, haha," the librarian laughed awkwardly before pulling a book under him that was wrapped in brown paper. "Here you go," he stated, handing the book to Felissa.
"Thank you!" Felissa exclaid and was about to take her pouch that contained money. She found out that her pocket was empty and froze, her eyes widening in panic.
"I... I don’t have money with ," Felissa whispered and tearfully looked up to Vicenzo, asking for help.
Vicenzo sighed before taking out his money pouch and dropping a few silvers on the counter.
"Thank you for your purchase. It’s a popular book among ladies," the librarian stated with a knowing smile.
"Oh, really!? Then I’ll get another one!" Felissa exclaid in excitent and forgot she had no money with her. She looked up at Vicenzo, but he shook his head.
"I promise to pay you back later," Felissa pouted to get what she wanted, but Vicenzo was firm on his decision.
"Lady Felissa, we are here to get the job done," Vicenzo reminded her of the Queen’s request.
"Yes, but I want to read this too," Felissa pouted and blinked her wide eyes to force Vicenzo to pay for another book.
"You should get another one for her. Your mate will sulk if you don’t give what she wants, and it will be hard for you," the librarian comnted with a chuckle at how the two interacted with one another.
"Oh, no! He’s not my mate," Felissa stated in a hurry to correct the misunderstanding while Vicenzo remained silent.
"My bad, I’m sorry for that," the librarian stated awkwardly, but when he glanced at Vicenzo, he could see the pain in his eyes for a few seconds.
