SIMON~

"Remind again why I’m only talking to you and not the rest of your colleagues," Lucas said as we stepped into my office.

"Well that doesn’t really matter now does it," I replied with my eyes focused on the photos he had passed out earlier.

"I need to know." He growled, a small glow festering in his eyes, I looked at him and a chuckle escaped my lips.

"What are you doing," I asked, mockery filling my tone as I spoke.

"Regardless of who’s in the seat and whose standing, I don’t want you to forget that I could rip off your head with just a thought," Lucas warned, hearing his words, I snickered and then burst into bitter laughter.

"Quiet the contrary, You’re a pathetic piece of garbage with an inflated sense of importance." I reminded with an amused splayed across my smile, I could see the rage in his eyes, the hue deepening as he stepped forward.

"Before you act I should remind you that you are in a building most famous for killing your kind, so tread with caution." my words made him stop dead in his tracks as he paused and looked at .

"I ca here to achieve sothing and I won’t leave without doing exactly that."

"Really" I said, further trying to agitate the already-annoyed man.

"Yes," he said, clenching his fist to hold himself back from lounging at . One thing I always respected about Lucas was how much he could take to reach his goals, insults, disrespect, and belittling, I would not take any of those but I guess that’s the price of his ambition.

"What exactly did you co here to do?" I pressed.

"To strike a deal."

"Unfortunately we don’t make deals with wolf vermin, we give them conditions and benefits," I explained, there were several ways to phrase that without getting on his nerves but I wanted to vex him as much as possible.

"Then I’ll just leave." Lucas countered angrily.

"Unfortunately you can’t, the mont you step out that door without my permission I’ll give the order and you’ll die where you stand.", his face twisted with confusion.

"What do you an."

"I an you either accept our conditions and benefits or you die, it’s an easy choice," I said, my tone jovial but my words a clear threat, he looked thorn as he stood there his nails digging into his palms as he looked at with eyes filled with anger.

"Take a seat," I said gesturing towards the chair in front of my desk, slowly he walked towards it and hesitantly sat down.

"That’s a good boy." I taunted, his jaw tightened but he didn’t talk causing the smile on my lips to grow, he truly was vermin.

LUCAS~

I stared at him, a smile on his face as he watched with eyes of superiority, This feeling, I was all too used to it, from David to Simon and even him. I could always feel my hands shaking gently whenever in their presence, A re intake of breath powerful, their existence blessed with the grace of strength.

I envied them so much that I hated myself, I wanted to know what it felt like to inflict fear into soone else with nothing more than the look in my eyes.

"This will be the death of you," I swore out loud, mistakenly, he looked at and smiled.

"Really, I thought it’s what kept alive," he replied, a smile on his lips as he smoked. When I was around Gabriel, I could feel him moving with caution around but with this man, he seed to care so little about what I was, he had absolute certainty that I couldn’t hurt him.

"That’s what David Langdon thought until I put a knife in his back," I said coldly and for the first ti I saw his smile falter but it was too brief to enjoy as he let out a sadistic chuckle.

"Not every day you hear soone brag about being trash," he said and the smile was there again. I could feel my blood boil, with every word he said I could feel my body ache with rage.

"Wasn’t a brag, it was giving you advice," I said after a brief silence.

"I’m sure David Langdon took a lot of your advice. " He countered, I felt defeated but I reminded myself that this interaction wasn’t about pride, it was about what I wanted.

"What is expected of ?" I asked.

"There are rumors of a brewing war between Silver Hollow and Howlcreek. Are these just rumors?"

"They are not."

"So it’s just a matter of ti?"

"Wish I could say, unlike Damon who doesn’t want a war Simon is one who thrives during the conflict," I explained and still, there was this unshakable feeling that I knew this man from sowhere.

"Hmmmmmm, when this war cos we plan to dip our hands in it, just a little bit."

"How?" I questioned.

"We plan to make certain the death of both Alphas." He answered blankly, I was shocked by his words.

"That’ll an leaving two of the biggest packs in the world with leadership, that’ll be chaos" I heard myself say, even I wouldn’t want to see that happen.

"Not chaos if there’s imdiately a new head to replace the ones lost" He responded with his eyes fixed suggestively on mine, his words took aback causing to look at him with wonder and fear.

"?" I questioned as much as I had dread of this I knew it was impossible "Werewolves believe the title of Alpha should be earned through strength, I don’t have the strength, they’d never agree" I warned in an attempt to dissuade what seed like a plan already set in stone.

"It doesn’t matter if they don’t agree, it doesn’t matter if your wolf isn’t the strongest, cause you don’t need a wolf to have power" He argued, a malicious grin decorating his face as he placed a small vial on the table, I looked at the strange object and picked it up, It was hot, disturbingly so, how did he pick it up without flinching.

"You can feel the heat right?"

"Why is it so hot," I asked as I threw it down unable to take any more of the burning heat.

"Wolf’s Tears, it’s created from a rare chemical, to humans it’s harmless but to wolves, it has a destructive effect." he further explained.

"Fuckkkkk." I hissed.

"With this, we will make you the alpha."
