"What happened?" Seeing her odd expression, Ye Lingfeng hurriedly asked.

Zhouzhou replied, "I did a reading for Uncle, and it's showing the Kan hexagram--one of the four ominous hexagrams. Dad, Uncle must be in trouble!"

Upon hearing this, a look of realization crossed Ye Lingfeng's face. He had a premonition earlier when he couldn't reach him, but he hadn't expected it to actually happen.

"Don't panic." He grabbed Zhouzhou, who was already dashing off. Steadying himself, he said in a deep voice, "Let's figure out what's going on first."

Ordinarily, no one would be able to harm Xi Mo, unless he encountered sothing beyond physical ans--like mysticism.

Given that Xi Mo's current mission was to locate the mastermind behind the destruction of the Dragon Veins, Ye Lingfeng had a pretty good idea of what might be going on.

"Let's go," he said, taking Zhouzhou to et with the Commander to inform him of the situation. "We're going to find him."

The Commander was startled by the news--Xi Mo was a key figure for them. But Ye Lingfeng was just as important. Frowning, the Commander asked, "Are you sure you can rescue him?"

Ye Lingfeng answered frankly, "Since we don't know the exact situation, I can't guarantee anything."

As he spoke, he noticed the little girl tugging at his clothes and jumping up and down. Smiling, he patted her head to calm her down and continued, "I suspect Xi Mo is dealing with so kind of mystical issue. This ti, I'll be taking Zhouzhou with ."

Zhouzhou instantly settled down, standing obediently by his side and looking up at the Commander.

The Commander pondered for a mont, then said, "Wait a second." He walked over to the table, picked up a file, and handed it to them. "Take a look at this first."

Zhouzhou stretched her neck to peek at the docunt... but couldn't see. Frustrated, she tugged on Ye Lingfeng's clothes.

"I can read too!"

Ye Lingfeng glanced at her and kindly bent down, lowering the docunt so she could see. Zhouzhou imdiately started reading aloud, "Several children have gone missing in Jiang City?"

Scratching her head, she didn't quite understand and whispered to Ye Lingfeng, "Dad, was it done by three hundred thousand?"

By three hundred thousand, she was referring to a notorious human trafficking ring.

Ye Lingfeng looked at the Commander. If that was the case, this wouldn't really concern them. But the Commander explained, "These children are all around five or six years old, with the youngest being just two or three. They disappeared suddenly."

"Surveillance shows they left their hos normally, but as soon as they reached a blind spot in the caras, they vanished."

Ye Lingfeng furrowed his brows. "Every single one of them?"

If it were just one or two, it could be coincidental. But for all of them? That didn't make sense. Plus, young children don't know where the cara blind spots are.

"Exactly," the Commander confird. "Every case is the sa."

"Also, Xi Mo's last known location was in Jiang City."

The fear was that these two incidents might be linked. Even if they weren't, sothing was definitely wrong in Jiang City.

"Now, are you still sure you want to bring Zhouzhou along?" The Commander asked seriously.

The target here seed to be children, and Zhouzhou, at her young age, fit right into that demographic. She was small and chubby, and could easily pass for a year younger without anyone questioning it.

Ye Lingfeng understood the risks but looked down at Zhouzhou. She imdiately responded, "I want to go! Commander Uncle, if I catch the bad guys, will there be a reward?"

She wiggled her fingers, making the gesture of money, looking at him expectantly.

The serious atmosphere was broken by her adorable antics.

The Commander chuckled and nodded. "Yes, there will be a reward."

"But you must be very careful. Understand?"

"I understand!" Zhouzhou nodded her head eagerly.

With no ti to waste, as Xi Mo was still in danger, the father-daughter duo boarded a private plane to Jiang City.

Five or six hours later, the plane landed. Despite the winter season, Jiang City was much warr.

After changing into lighter clothes at the airport, they headed out. Ye Lingfeng glanced down at his daughter as they walked.

She was wearing overalls, her chubby face frad by a pair of sunglasses. From his angle, all he could see were her round, curious eyes darting around, taking in the surroundings.

Before they left, Zhouzhou had chosen this pair of sunglasses from the gear they brought. He couldn't even rember where they got them from.

But they suited her well--she looked cool and, well, cute. Truly his daughter!

"Dad," Zhouzhou asked after scanning the area, seeing no suspicious figures, "Where are we going now?"

"We'll find your uncle first. You brought the compass, right?"

"Yep!" Zhouzhou nodded enthusiastically, holding a box that contained her compass.

They followed the compass for over two hours when suddenly it stopped moving.

"Hmm?" Zhouzhou muttered in surprise.

"What's wrong?" Ye Lingfeng asked.

Zhouzhou moved to a corner, shook the compass, and said, "It's not broken."

Looking up at him, she added, "Dad, the compass suddenly stopped pointing in any direction, but I'm sure it's not broken."

This was the first ti sothing like this had happened.

Ye Lingfeng wasn't too surprised. He had already suspected that the mastermind might also be from the Mystery Sect.

"Try to locate the missing children," he said, reminding her of the items Commander had given them related to the missing children.

Zhouzhou switched symbols and focused on tracking the children's energy, but the compass remained still.

Ye Lingfeng narrowed his eyes, then picked Zhouzhou up and walked a few minutes back the way they had co. This ti, the compass moved again.

But when they reached the sa spot as before, it stopped once more.

The two incidents were clearly connected!

"Let's find a place to stay nearby."

"Okay." Zhouzhou nodded, her eyes still scanning their surroundings warily. Sothing felt off. Maybe the bad guy was nearby.

As she pondered this, Ye Lingfeng pinched her chin, turning her head back towards him. His expression was calm, but he reminded her, "Relax, just act like you're here for fun."

Who knew if they were being watched? It was better to be cautious.

Ah, so that's how it was!

Zhouzhou understood instantly. She could act! With that thought, she swung her little legs, wrapping her arms around his neck, and cheerfully said, "Dad, I'm hungry! I want to eat this!"
