Zhouzhou pointed at the people nearby enjoying their afternoon tea.

At that mont, a waiter brought out a tray of desserts. Though the portions were small, the delicacies were beautifully presented. Zhouzhou's mouth watered, and she couldn't help but let out a little slurp, eagerly looking at Ye Lingfeng.

Seeing her like this, Ye Lingfeng chuckled softly and patted her head. "Alright, let's go."

He walked into the café with large strides, and the place was fairly busy, almost completely full.

Zhouzhou looked around, puzzled. "Dad, it's not even dinner ti yet. Why are so many people eating?"

Ye Lingfeng explained, "This is afternoon tea."

"Afternoon tea?" Zhouzhou tilted her little head, her curiosity piqued. She had never had afternoon tea before. Was it just drinking tea? But there was no tea on their tables.

"It's more like so light snacks, not a full al. It's mainly for chatting."

Zhouzhou nodded in understanding and grinned, "Oh, I get it now! I always feel hungry around this ti, too. My afternoon tea was a big stead bun!" she said proudly.

Back on the mountain or later when she went to school, her senior brothers or grandma would always stuff sothing in her pocket so she could eat when she got hungry. So this was what afternoon tea was! What a nice na.

Hearing this, Ye Lingfeng laughed softly. Nearby diners overheard and couldn't help but glance over. Initially, they were ready to mock what seed like a country bumpkin, but when they saw Zhouzhou, a soft, adorable child, they lted. The ridicule died in their throats.

Unaware that she'd narrowly avoided being made fun of, Zhouzhou looked at the nu, then glanced at the portions on other tables. She confidently closed the nu and said to the waiter, "Brother, bring one of everything."

"Everything?" The waiter was taken aback.

Zhouzhou thought for a mont and shook her head. The waiter let out a sigh of relief. After all, while the portions were small, there were over a hundred varieties. It would be impossible to finish everything.

But to his surprise, Zhouzhou continued, "Actually, bring two of each!"

Her dad was here too, and one portion wouldn't be enough for both of them. Now the waiter was completely stunned, standing frozen in place.

Ye Lingfeng, acting like a rich man, crossed his legs, gave a sidelong glance, and tossed a wad of cash onto the table. "What, didn't hear ? Think we can't afford it?"

"No, no, sir! That's not what I ant," the waiter quickly explained.

"Then hurry up," Ye Lingfeng waved lazily, "Don't let my daughter go hungry."

"Of course, right away, sir." The waiter quickly left.

Soon, dishes started arriving, filling the table. The diners next to them had left, so they combined two tables to accommodate all the food, and that still barely fit everything.

"Sir, once you finish this, I can bring out the rest, alright?" the waiter asked.

Ye Lingfeng didn't make it difficult for him and nodded. Then, father and daughter each grabbed a pair of chopsticks and started eating!

As soon as Zhouzhou took her first bite, her eyes lit up. "Wow! This is delicious!"

Ye Lingfeng nodded in satisfaction as well. It was indeed quite good.

From that mont on, the two stopped talking and focused solely on eating. In just a few minutes, the table was swept clean. Onlookers were left dumbfounded.

Had these two been starving before this?

The waiter was startled too and hurriedly instructed the kitchen to bring out the rest.

With her mouth full, Zhouzhou clearly said, "Brother, bring two more of everything!"

It was so tasty--definitely not enough to satisfy them.

This ti, the waiter didn't even have ti to be surprised. He rushed to the kitchen to prepare more food. He was worried they couldn't keep up with how fast the pair was eating!

Afternoon tea was supposed to be winding down, and the chefs were expecting a break. But then this father and daughter showed up, and the kitchen suddenly got busy again.

Only the café owner was smiling from ear to ear, wishing they would co every day.

By the ti father and daughter had finished the second round, their pace had finally slowed down.

Zhouzhou glanced around and then leaned close to Ye Lingfeng, whispering, "Dad, this al is covered by Uncle Commander, right?"

"Yes," Ye Lingfeng nodded, "Eat as much as you like, it's on him."

Zhouzhou's eyes sparkled. "Right! Never let a free al go to waste."

She raised her hand and shouted, "Boss! Two more, no, bring out everything in the store!"

anwhile, the Commander, listening through their earpieces, was speechless.

Had they forgotten they were still connected?

Watching them eat up the entire day's profits on the surveillance screen, the Commander's face turned dark.

Next ti, he'd only cover accommodation--no more als. He couldn't afford it!

He clutched his wallet, ntally groaning in despair.

Just then, his expression changed, and his tone grew serious. "Ye Lingfeng, there's a man at your nine o'clock. He's been watching you two for a while. Sothing's off about him."

"Got it," Ye Lingfeng replied nonchalantly, his voice barely audible. He didn't look over but leaned down to ask Zhouzhou, "Are you full?"

Zhouzhou nodded, "Yes, I'm full."

"Good." He picked her up, and as he turned to leave, he quickly whispered, "The man at nine o'clock is suspicious. Don't look."

Zhouzhou didn't react, obediently wrapping her arms around his neck.

Only when Ye Lingfeng turned around did she subtly glance in that direction, her gaze quickly moving on as if it were a casual look.

Ye Lingfeng, still appearing calm, paid the bill and even packed so food to go. With the owner's laughter echoing behind them, they finally left the café.

They wandered around like tourists, buying little souvenirs before heading to their hotel.

Once back, the father and daughter exchanged glances, and Zhouzhou imdiately pulled out her small laptop. Her chubby fingers deftly typed a few keys, quickly pulling up the surrounding surveillance footage.

The Commander's voice ca through again, "He's been following you since you left."

"I see him," Zhouzhou replied.

"He seems to be watching ," she added after observing for a mont.

"No, he's definitely watching you," Ye Lingfeng corrected.

He had noticed the man in the restaurant but had said nothing to avoid alerting him.

"I suspect he's connected to the missing children case," the Commander said, his tone grave.

He had been worried Zhouzhou might be targeted, and it hadn't even been two hours since they arrived before it happened. He was beginning to regret not keeping his mouth shut. It felt like his words had jinxed it.

Zhouzhou, counting on her fingers, excitedly asked, "If I catch this bad guy, do I get the three hundred thousand reward?"
