The room was thankfully very clean and tidy, the army green quilt folded neatly and spotless.
Connor asked Natalie Niles to lie down, covered her with the quilt, and wanted to get her so water, but Natalie grabbed his hand.
"Where are you going?"
"To get you so water to drink."
"I don’t want to drink, hold , Connor."
"Drink so water first, then I’ll hold you."
"I want you to hold now."
Connor’s heart softened, he lifted the quilt and lay down on the bed, pulling her tightly into his embrace.
Natalie was finally happy, holding Connor’s waist, sotis kissing his cheek, sotis kissing his neck, sotis biting the red bean on his chest through his shirt.
The deep blue in Connor’s eyes beca more intense, his voice hoarse: "Are you trying to take my life?"
"Will you give it if I want?"
"I will."
Connor brought her hand to his lips, kissing it softly: "My life isn’t important, whatever you want I’ll give it to you, just don’t let my young master find out, if you kill , rember not to leave any traces."
Natalie’s tears suddenly fell for so reason.
She cupped Connor’s face and kissed his eyes: "Why would I kill you? I wouldn’t even kill myself."
His eyes were deep and beautiful; she wished these eyes could always be this bright.
Connor wiped away her tears: "Why are you crying? Can’t bear to kill ? Are you sad just hearing I’m going to die?"
"Don’t talk nonsense about dying, I don’t want to hear that."
Connor chuckled, holding her, he placed her hand on his heart, using its beating to tell her how happy he was, how much he liked her.
Natalie simply pressed her ear to his chest, listening to his intense heartbeat, a smile erging at the corner of her lips.
She closed her eyes and soon fell asleep.
Connor, however, couldn’t sleep; so part of him was clamoring, urging him to devour her, to make her his woman in the truest sense, to bring her legendary, heavenly joy.
But he couldn’t bring himself to do it.
To hold her thusly in sleep was already happiness enough, happiness that felt like a dream.
He actually wished to hold her in sleep before, but he didn’t dare admit it, couldn’t believe he genuinely liked her, resisted all along!
Until he couldn’t resist anymore.
He’s like one poisoned, loving her more and more madly, willing to do anything for her, wanting to spoil her into a happy little girl, to coax a joyful smile from her.
He lowered his head and kissed her softly, whispering: "Natalie, you’re amazing, I kind of regret it now, wish I’d given myself to you sooner..."
He watched her all night, until dawn when sleep finally overtook him.
By the ti Connor awoke, the woman in his arms was gone.
He imdiately got out of bed to look for her everywhere.
Lucas Chambers stopped him: "What are you doing, running around like a headless chicken? Your woman is attending military training, she’s fine!"
"Her leg is still injured, swollen badly, training be damned, get her back quickly!"
"Brother, be reasonable okay? Would you rather she skip training and laze around? This is a special forces unit, not a nursing ho! She’s just got so flesh wounds, suffered a bit, that’s all, she won’t die!"
"I can’t stand it, it pains !"
"Natalie Niles sure hit a lucky break, becoming your heart’s favorite."
"Will you call her back or not?"
"I really can’t, the unit’s out in the jungle now; if I call her back what will others think? How will I continue being a Major? I already have lots of people watching , cut it out."
Connor’s expression turned very unpleasant, realizing that even with solid connections here, Natalie still couldn’t receive the best care.
He hardened his heart: "I’m taking her away, we won’t co back again!"
