Chapter 711: Chapter 711: Little Demon, Soul Taker_1
This underground labyrinth should have more than one such circular hall, with each hall having four tunnels leading in different directions to the other circular halls.
Given its size, this must be the tomb of so ancient noble!
Now, faced with the seemingly endless path stretching out before her, Qin Sisi was completely lost. If only Ye You were here.
Qin Sisi shook her head, she couldn’t keep relying on Ye You. Even if Ye You did worry about her and co to this field, it would be hard for him to guess she was now deep underground.
This ti, she could only rely on herself. Qin Sisi steeled her resolve, once again choosing the tunnel to the far left and prepared to continue her search for the exit.
Before leaving the circular hall, she used the Fireball Technique to mark the tunnel she had chosen.
After walking another long distance, Qin Sisi reached the third circular hall.
Looking at the identical shape and position of the tunnels, Qin Sisi couldn’t help but sigh in frustration. Finding a spot to rest, she leaned her tired head on her knees and closed her eyes.
Suddenly, she thought she heard a strange laughter.
Qin Sisi flinched, suddenly alert. She quickly stood up, back against the wall, her eyes warily scanning the surroundings as she silently gripped the Divine Dog’s Fury in her hand.
The laughter grew louder. Before long, several red-haired, pointy-eared, slender figures appeared in front of Qin Sisi, circling her with a look of glee in their eyes.
These individuals seed strange, with ethereal bodies and a heavy aura of Yin energy. It was clear they weren’t human.
But looking at their expressions, they didn’t resemble the wandering, obsessed, or lost ghosts of this world.
Upon seeing their clothing, a flicker of recognition sparked in Qin Sisi. "You’re Ghost Immortals from the underworld?"
The group of small ghosts chuckled in response: "Quite sharp. Indeed we are."
The lead ghost took a step forward: "Since you’re smart, I’ll get straight to the point. King Yama would like to have a chat with you in the underworld. Co with us!"
Go to the underworld?
Qin Sisi recoiled, her back pressing hard against the wall.
She rembered vividly the last ti she went to the underworld with Ye You. The experience was like walking on thin ice, full of terrifying monts. One misstep could cause irreparable harm.
She definitely could not go. If she went, she might never return.
With a cold stare, Qin Sisi asked the lead ghost, "Why does King Yama want
to go to the underworld?"
The ghost leader snorted: "Are you not aware of what you’ve done? Several Ghost Immortals have disappeared under your watch, did you actually think we ghosts from the underworld are easy to bully!"
Qin Sisi was taken aback. So it was because of this. Counting them, Qing ng, Bai Lian, Qi Jiaming, Tang Xiaomo, Pei Pei, Lan Di... all of them were from the underworld. Regardless of their positions, they were all considered Ghost Immortals.
Looking at it this way, she had indeed taken quite a lot of ghosts from the underworld. Now it seed the retribution had arrived; King Yama was about to settle the score with her.
After sorting out the whole sequence of events in her mind, Qin Sisi asked the lead ghost: "Did you guys bring
here?"
The lead ghost haughtily replied: "Well, that wouldn’t be accurate, you walked in on your own. We just made sure you couldn’t walk out."
So that was what happened. Qin Sisi finally understood. Her inability to use the Burrow Escape technique was not because it malfunctioned, but because these little ghosts had interfered underground.
The ghost leader, seeing Qin Sisi like a fish trapped in a barrel, continued to spill the beans: "At first we were wondering how to lure you here, but those disgusting n made it easy for us by tricking you into coming on your own. We have a maze around this underground tomb, easy to enter but hard to leave. Now, you have no other paths to take. Hurry up and co with
to the underworld!"
"You set up the maze? I don’t believe you." Qin Sisi purposely changed the topic.
These little ghosts must have been here for a long ti, but only appeared now. It must be because it’s already dark and they can now move around freely without fearing anything.
As long as she could delay until dawn, these little ghosts should hide.
Although this seed easily said, the truth was that Qin Sisi didn’t have this confidence. There were several hours until daylight, and it was hard to delay for so long. If she couldn’t stall through conversation, she would have to resort to fighting.
The ghost leader was getting impatient: "No matter who set it up, you’re not going to get out. I’ll ask you again, are you coming with us or not?"
She had tried to avoid using the Divine Dog’s Fury because of its imnse power which could imdiately annihilate a ghost upon contact. But now facing a life-and-death situation, she couldn’t care less.
If others wanted her dead, why should she care about their safety?
Upon seeing Qin Sisi’s silence and vigilant stance, and noting her apparent readiness for a fight, the angry ghost leader shouted: "Qin Sisi, don’t make us force you, since you’re not willing to co willingly!"
With that, the ghost leader took out two small bells that were strung together from his bosom. With a sinister look, he began to shake them, producing a series of "ding-dong" sounds.
Qin Sisi imdiately identified them as Soul-Attracting Bells. The last ti she visited the underworld, Lan Di used one to draw her and Ye You’s spirits, leading them into the underworld.
The only difference was that Lan Di’s Soul-Attracting Bell was slightly bigger, and its sound was more clear and pleasing to the ear.
As the ghost leader continued to shake the bells, a wave of dizziness swept over Qin Sisi, and her vision began to blur.
Qin Sisi bit her lip hard, using the pain to shock her nerves, then raised her right arm and swung the Divine Dog’s Fury violently at the ghost leader.
The ghost leader, knowing what was coming, hastily jumped aside to evade the attack.
However, the ghosts next to him were not so lucky. One was grazed by the tip of the Divine Dog’s Fury, imdiately letting out black smoke and wailing in pain.
The others watched on, wanting to help but not knowing how. Having lived in the underworld for many years, they had grown soft. Compared to the wandering ghosts of the human world, they lacked the alertness to adapt and the ruthless decisiveness to kill. They could only watch helplessly as their companion turned into green smoke and disappeared.
The ghost leader was furious. Lifting the bells in his hand, he shook them even harder.
Having struck a successful blow, Qin Sisi’s confidence surged. She gathered her strength and once again swung the Divine Dog’s Fury towards the group of little ghosts, who fled in panic.
She put all her strength into swinging the Divine Dog’s Fury. After a few passes, another ghost was too slow and was hit by the Divine Dog’s Fury. Very soon, like the first ghost, it turned into a wisp of green smoke and vanished.
