Chapter 590: Chapter 590: Robbed_1

When Lu Bin finally arrived at his house’s entrance, he halted, a wave of nostalgia and hesitation washing over him.

Qin Sisi could understand his feelings. She stood quietly not far from him, knowing they still had ti left with the Invisible Bubble.

After a long while, Lu Bin gave a faint sigh. He then levitated over the wall and entered the house.

Following him, Qin Sisi fluttered her Wings of Rainbow. Under the radiant light of the wings, she could glimpse the layout of Lu Bin’s house. It was neither new nor old, with a makeshift kitchen covered with steel tiles on the side.

When she saw Lu Bin about to enter the house, she called out to him and handed over the cash totaling $100,000, tucked inside was a note.

This was Qin Sisi’s strategy, the sa thod Zhu Zihao had used when he gave money to his wife. She told Lu Bin to say he had been helped by a friend who heard about his troubles, and wanted to pay respects to his family.

Lu Bin agreed, after all, having a large sum of money suddenly appear at ho without an explanation could cause unease.

Taking the money and note, Lu Bin entered the house alone and Qin Sisi waited outside.

Although helping Lu Bin was for the purpose of obtaining his soul power, she felt a pang in her heart when she thought of him coming ho to see his parents for the last ti.

Looking up at the twinkling stars in the sky, Qin Sisi thought of her own parents, their souls were in Ye You’s Spirit Conversion Bottle, close to her, yet eternally estranged.

Perching on Qin Sisi’s shoulder, Ye You seed to sense her longing. His fluffy head gently rubbed against her neck. He didn’t kiss her, neither did he interrupt her with his words.

After a long ti, Lu Bin appeared, worn out and desolate, with tear-streaked cheeks. He stood by Qin Sisi and mumbled, "Let’s go."

Qin Sisi cast a last backward glance at the dark house, knowing that their mission had been accomplished. She then turned around and, together with Lu Bin, left the place.

Ye You brought Lu Bin back into the Portable Space. But since it was already late at night, they couldn’t return to the downtown S City imdiately.

The Invisible Bubble’s effective ti was about to expire. Without items to hide, the dazzling light of Wings of Rainbow might draw attention, stirring unwanted commotion and trouble.

Ye You’s silver sphere was slow in movent. Qin Sisi was worried that the long journey back would debilitate him.

In the end, they decided to sleep inside the silver sphere conjured by Ye You, just like before.

Ye You chose a location in the middle of a large wheat field. The darkness surrounding them ant they could hardly be seen.

Even if soone managed to spot them, they would need to cross the extensive wheat field to approach, buying them enough ti to promptly escape.

Qin Sisi lay on the soft silver sphere with a field of golden wheat beneath her, a starry sky above, and the warm and soft Ye You by her side.

The countryside night was tranquil, save for the occasional chirping of insects. After a while, it beca a soothing lullaby.

"Can stars be seen in the Demon Sacred Realm?" Qin Sisi asked out of curiosity.

Ye You was montarily taken aback before responding, "Yes."

Seeing that Qin Sisi did not respond further, Ye You added, "The Demon Sacred Realm has many things that are different from here, but also many that are the sa. No need to be afraid."

He seed to read her thoughts, understanding her excitent and apprehension towards the Demon Sacred Realm.

"Mm," Qin Sisi answered softly. Before she could realize, she had dozed off under the twinkling stars and the singing of insects.

She held a faint hope for sothing unusual to happen in the night, for more ghosts to appear. But all hope shattered when she opened her eyes to the first light of morning. It had been a peaceful and serene night.

Controlled by Ye You, the silver sphere flew to the edge of the wheat field then descended and touched the ground. The two breathed in the earthy morning air and went to the stop they’d alighted the day before, to wait for the bus.

An hour later, Qin Sisi finally stepped back onto the returning bus to S City, carrying Ye You in her backpack.

After a bumpy journey of more than three hours, they finally reached the bus terminal of S City.

Qin Sisi, with Ye You in her backpack, got off the bus. Instead of heading ho, she went straight to the bank.

Thanks to her prior notification, Qin Sisi was able to withdraw two hundred thousand dollars with ease. She packed all the money into her backpack and headed for the bank’s exit, intending to find a secluded place to let Ye You release Lu Bin’s ghost, after which she would deliver the money to Lu Bin’s wife.

About a hundred ters right off the bank’s door was an alley. Seeing that it was devoid of people, Qin Sisi walked into it.

Not far in, she was suddenly yanked backward. Staggering, she fell.

Looking up in shock and panic, she saw a figure in black sportswear running away with her backpack.

Without thinking, Qin Sisi got up and chased after him. But it didn’t take her long to realize that she was no match for his speed and she had to stop.

She wanted to call upon Wings of Rainbow to catch him, or use the magic skills she had learned to penalize the dreaded robber. But it was broad daylight and people were bustling in and out of the alley. Qin Sisi had no choice but to restrain her fighting spirit.

She didn’t know where the robber would take her backpack—Ye You was still in it. How could she find him?

Or could he find her?

Filled with worry, Qin Sisi decided to wait on the spot.

She found a relatively clean stone and sat down on it. As she moved, she felt a burning sensation on her leg.

Rolling up her pants, she saw a large scrape on the outer side of her knee. Her palm was scraped as well.

Qin Sisi sighed in resignation. Considering the magic skills she had practiced, one would think she could deal with a simple robber. The irony was depressing.

That ill-fated robber had no idea what was to co. For now, he was thrilled.

He had seen Qin Sisi withdrawing money at the bank. The substantial amount was too tempting to resist.

So he trailed Qin Sisi for a while, waited for the right opportunity, and snatched her backpack. He had seen her put the money into it with his own eyes.

Finding a secluded spot, the robber excitedly opened the backpack. He pictured stacks of money appearing in front of him.

But instead, a black cat appeared.

The thief was taken aback, but before he could react, Ye You had already pounced on him. Raising his claws, Ye You lashed out at him with lightning speed.
