Chapter 591: Chapter 591: Love and Money_1
"Ah!" The robber let out a wail, he covered his face with his hands and retreated, a red liquid seeping from between his fingers.
Ye You’s purple eyes appeared to freeze over, as he looked intently at the retreating robber, and raised his claw to release a blue light at one of his knees.
The blue light passed in a flash and, with astonishing speed, struck the robber’s knee. The robber scread again, then fell to the ground, wailing incessantly.
Ye You looked coldly at him, grazed the backpack with his claw, and then stored it in his Portable Space.
Then he turned and left without another look, leaving the robber curled up, paying the price for his actions.
With one eye gouged out and one leg broken, the robber could no longer continue his career as a thief.
As Qin Sisi anxiously waited in the alley, less than twenty minutes had passed when Ye You appeared.
She quickly stood up and asked with concern: "Are you okay?"
Ye You did not respond, but his gaze fell on the rolled up trouser leg of Qin Sisi, as well as the scrape that was oozing blood.
Qin Sisi noticed Ye You’s gaze and moved her legs awkwardly, saying softly, "It doesn’t matter, it’s just a small scrape."
Ye You did not speak but slowly approached Qin Sisi, took her hand to steady her, and then gently put his claw on her scrape. He activated his internal magical healing power to completely heal the scrape.
Because the injury was indeed not severe, it was soon healed.
Ye You looked at Qin Sisi and gently asked, "Is there anything more?"
Qin Sisi involuntarily curled her fingers, hesitating whether to tell Ye You about the small injuries on her hand. However, Ye You had already skillfully grabbed her hand.
After another round of healing, only when he was sure that there were no more injuries on Qin Sisi’s body, did Ye You let go of her hand.
Qin Sisi lowered her trouser leg and asked Ye You: "What happened to that guy?"
She didn’t ask about the money, because as long as Ye You was safe, there would surely be no problem with the money.
She was slightly worried that in his anger, Ye You might have severely injured the man. What if a powerful magic skill had resulted in an accidental death?
Ye You paused and replied: "I gouged out one of his eyes and broke one leg."
Qin Sisi was stunned but said nothing.
At first, this punishnt seed harsh, but upon reflection, it was suitable for the cri.
If this robber hadn’t been punished, he would likely have robbed again in the future. Not everyone was as lucky as her to have Ye You for protection.
If he had stolen hard-earned savings or even life-saving money from soone else, the victims would be left in imnse pain and helplessness.
After encountering so many ghosts, Qin Sisi’s heart was no longer as soft as before.
Being kind to the wicked is being cruel to the good; the principle was actually simple.
This area was rather secluded, so Ye You drew a protective talisman on the forehead of Lu Bin’s ghost to shield him from the sun’s yang energy, and then released him.
Along with the ghost, the backpack also ca out from the Portable Space, and not a dollar of the two hundred thousand was missing.
Lu Bin said "thank you" to Qin Sisi with gratitude upon seeing those bundles of hundred-yuan notes.
With the directions by Lu Bin, Qin Sisi arrived at a new residential area. Although it wasn’t located downtown, the building looked quite good.
Looking at the place where he used to live, Lu Bin said nostalgically: "I didn’t have enough money to buy a ready-built house then and could only buy a pre-sales one in the suburbs. I waited three or four years for it to be completed, always fearing that sothing would go wrong."
Now, he had moved into the new house and paid off his debts, but he was no longer there.
Lu Bin led Qin Sisi upstairs in the elevator and in front of his apartnt door, Ye You spanned an Invisible Bubble.
Qin Sisi knocked on the door, and soon, a quiet and lancholic woman around the age of thirty opened the door.
Lu Bin’s gaze softened, as he stupidly gazed at the woman before him.
Qin Sisi glanced at him and gave a silent sigh. No need for words, this was certainly Lu Bin’s wife.
The woman appeared stunned when she saw the bag at the door. She looked left and right to confirm that no one was around before she stepped outside to retrieve the bag back into the house.
While she was getting the bag, Qin Sisi and Lu Bin carefully walked into the room.
Lu Bin’s wife placed the bag on the table and opened it. Seeing the stacks of hundred-yuan notes, she was dumfounded.
She then nervously opened the note inside.
The ssages on the note were naturally the sa, stating that they were sent by a friend who Lu Bin had once helped, as a repaynt to Lu Bin’s help.
After reading the notes, Lu Bin’s wife finally relaxed.
She silently looked at the money for a while, then two lines of tears fell down, dropping on the note below and saring it into a small wet stain.
"Husband, I can give up this money. If I donated all of it, would you be able to co back?"
The choked voice was as soft as a feather, yet fell into Lu Bin’s ears like constant thunder, shattering his heart to pieces.
Lu Bin couldn’t hold it back anymore. He ended up in the corner, hugging his head tightly in his arms. Although he made no sound, his trembling shoulders conveyed everything.
Qin Sisi sighed with heartache and quietly retreated to the balcony. Perhaps Lu Bin wanted to stay a little longer by his wife’s side!
The sun was gradually falling, and Lu Bin, with his tearful eyes, watched his wife busy herself alone.
He watched her quietly cleaning the house, tidying up the whole house neatly, and hanging up the laundry one by one from the washing machine on the balcony. He watched her bustling in the kitchen, the fragrance of the food filled the whole room.
In the end, she brought the cooked food to the dining table and served two bowls of rice. One she placed in front of her and the other she left on the opposite side.
Lu Bin knew that used to be his seat.
She looked at the empty seat across from her and softly said, "The al I cooked today is delicious, would you like to eat with ?"
The tears in Lu Bin’s eyes gushed out again, and he covered his face with his hands.
After Lu Bin’s wife said this, she gave a self-mocking laugh, seeming to think herself silly.
Then she started eating, very slowly. As she ate, tears fell into her bowl.
Lu Bin couldn’t bear to watch anymore. He suddenly felt that all the money he had given didn’t seem to an much.
He stood up and rushed out of the room, passing directly through the door. Seeing this, Qin Sisi quickly ran up and knocked on the door from inside, and as Lu Bin’s wife opened the door, she also ran out.
When she followed him down, Lu Bin was squatting in the open area in front of the building, his head buried in his arms crying.
This was the first ti Qin Sisi had seen a grown man cry so heartbreakingly.
