Chapter 546: Chapter 546: Ye You’s Helplessness_1

Qin Sisi bent over to lift up Xiao Jie and carefully placed him by the side of the bed.

Even though Xiao Jie was only ten years old, his significant weight left Qin Sisi panting.

Ye You looked at Qin Sisi fondly without uttering a word, then jumped onto the bed and raised his paw, from which a ball of green light erged, enveloping Xiao Jie’s body.

Qin Sisi watched the erald lustre unfold, reminiscent of the past, and exclaid loudly, "In The Spring Breeze."

Ye You responded with a smile in his eyes, sucked back the green light twenty minutes later, and Xiao Jie’s complexion, originally as pale as paper, revealed so rosiness, showing significant improvent in his physical condition.

A rush of relief went through Qin Sisi’s heart. It seed that Xiao Jie would be fine, and she hadn’t let Boss Zheng and Xiao Jie’s parents down.

However, seeing a brief flash of exhaustion in Ye You’s purple eyes made her aching heart urge her to lift him up hurriedly and ask, "Are you okay?"

"Rest assured, I’m fine." Ye You responded softly. Qin Sisi’s concern ward his heart. He lowered his head and gently kissed her hand.

Qin Sisi felt a subtle tingling sensation at his light touch. With a shy yet warm feeling in her heart, her cheeks flushed with color.

Ye You raised his head, his gaze falling on Qin Sisi’s white and smooth neck. Recalling how Xiao Jie, possessed by the ghost, had choked her, leaving a few dark red fingerprints bothered him deeply.

Pain and guilt washed over Ye You. He sat up, placing his paw gently on Qin Sisi’s fingerprint marks.

Anticipating Ye You’s intentions, Qin Sisi quickly grabbed Ye You’s hand while whispering, "It’s fine, you’re tired, we can take care of this later!"

"Don’t move." Ye You said softly. His paw had already emitted a faint green light, healing the scars on Qin Sisi’s neck.

A slight cooling sensation gradually alleviated her discomfort.

However, Ye You seed a little tired and didn’t dare to mobilize too much magical power, so he carried out the healing procedure slowly.

It took him more than ten minutes to completely erase the marks on Qin Sisi’s neck, restoring its smooth whiteness.

Ye You pulled back his hand, sighing with resignation. Since his Magic Source was damaged, he didn’t dare to exert intense magical power. Even a minor Healing Skill took such a long ti.

Qin Sisi sensed Ye You’s lancholy mood. She held him in her arms and gently stroked him a few tis.

Ye You closed his eyes, quickly adjusted his mood, and said softly, "Let them in!"

"Okay." Qin Sisi agreed and walked to the door to open it.

Although the waiting ti was not prolonged, everyone except for Boss Zheng was extrely anxious. Hearing the door open, they instantly stood up to rush over.

Xiao Jie’s parents were in the front. Seeing Qin Sisi standing by the door, they anxiously approached and asked, "Mage, how is the child?"

With Xiao Jie’s mother’s voice choked with sobs and the corners of her eyes glimring with unshed tears, it was clear that Xiao Jie’s father was equally concerned, even if he didn’t show it as explicitly as she did.

Children with parents by their side are ultimately blessed.

Qin Sisi sighed inwardly, forced a smile and comforted, "Rest assured, Xiao Jie is fine now, but he needs to rest for a few days."

Looking at each other, Xiao Jie’s parents had a mixture of surprise and uncertainty on their faces. Qin Sisi moved aside to let them in, and they quickly entered the room.

Mr. Yang followed closely behind while Boss Zheng walked at the back, his expression much calr. As he passed by the door, he asked in a low voice, "Are you alright?"

Qin Sisi gave a grateful smile and reassured, "I am fine, everything went smoothly."

Boss Zheng nodded approvingly, "That’s good. Rember to protect yourself while working."

With a ward heart, Qin Sisi acknowledged clearly, "I understand, thank you, Uncle Zheng."

Boss Zheng gave a reassuring nod, entered the room without saying another word, and checked on Xiao Jie.

Seeing their child lying quietly in bed, Xiao Jie’s parents were quite relieved. Although they didn’t understand yin and yang matters, they could still notice the change in Xiao Jie’s complexion.

Mr. Yang also ca over to check on Xiao Jie. Knowing a thing or two about yin and yang, he could clearly see that the ghost in Xiao Jie was no longer there.

Mr. Yang couldn’t help but look at Qin Sisi a few more tis. This young female Mage was indeed competent. He regretted underestimating her and thought he should value Zheng’s judgent.

Naturally, Xiao Jie’s parents trusted Mr. Yang more. They quietly asked, "Cousin, what do you think?"

Mr. Yang’s face softened. Speaking just loud enough not to disturb others, he said, "Xiao Jie is indeed fine now. We should thank the Mage."

"Yes, yes, I know." Xiao Jie’s mother quickly stepped out of the bedroom and went to another room. When she passed by Qin Sisi, she nodded gratefully at her.

In no ti at all, Xiao Jie’s mother ca back, handing Qin Sisi a stack of money and expressed her thanks repeatedly.

Xiao Jie’s mother’s effusiveness made Qin Sisi slightly uncomfortable. She glanced at Boss Zheng for guidance. He subtly nodded at her, indicating she didn’t need to refuse.

So, Qin Sisi accepted the money and thanked Xiao Jie’s mother.

Mr. Yang ca over and asked, "May I have your na, please?"

Qin Sisi politely answered, "My surna is Qin, my full na is Qin Sisi."

Mr. Yang approved as he said, "Mage Qin, you are so young yet so talented, truly admirable."

Qin Sisi quickly waved her hands, "You flatter ."

Boss Zheng ca over, teasing Mr. Yang, "Well? Don’t I have good judgent?"

Mr. Yang admitted with an embarrassed smile, "Indeed, Boss Zheng has good foresight. It was I who was shallow."

Although he initially held doubts and underestimations, his ability to recognize and admit his mistake was quite comndable.

Qin Sisi didn’t take Mr. Yang’s attitude to heart initially. Seeing his behavior now, she started to have a good impression of him.

When Xiao Jie was taken care of, it was nearly two in the morning. The outside was dark.

However, Xiao Jie’s house didn’t have a guest room, as it was a two-bedroom house. Thus, Qin Sisi and Boss Zheng decided to leave.

Leaving Xiao Jie’s house with the parents’ endless thank you’s, Boss Zheng drove back to the city.

Qin Sisi counted the money given by Xiao Jie’s mother. It was two thousand yuan. She took seven hundred and handed it to Boss Zheng.

Boss Zheng casually glanced at it. Initially, he wasn’t planning to accept it, but he understood Qin Sisi’s character over this period. If he didn’t accept the money, she would feel uneasy. So he said nothing and accepted it.
