Chapter 439: Chapter 439 Golden Room_1

Golden wallpaper, a golden bed, a golden wardrobe, a golden floor.

The entire room seed to be cloaked in a layer of gold, everything gleaming and sumptuously decorated.

Qin Sisi stared in amazent - she had never seen such an extraordinarily flamboyant room before.

Boss Zheng too seed surprised. Despite his good relationship with Mr. Fu, he had never ventured into his friend’s bedroom, so this was his first view of it.

Seeing the disbelief on the faces of Qin Sisi and Boss Zheng, Mr. Fu spoke with a hint of pride, "This was designed by a master for , called the House of Gold. What do you think? Isn’t it overwhelmingly luxurious?"

Qin Sisi and Boss Zheng laughed awkwardly and stepped slowly into the room.

Then, the attraction of the golden bed caught Qin Sisi’s attention.

Unlike a normal one, this glittering golden bed had golden iron pipes running along the sides and canopying a golden sheet above, like a shelter.

Several red silken ribbons were tied among the golden tal columns, their presence standing out sharply against the golden backdrop.

"This bed..." Qin Sisi realized there was sothing peculiar about it but was not sure what the peculiar design was for, leaving her visibly puzzled.

When Mr. Fu heard Qin Sisi’s comnt, he remained silent. His eyes flashed with a hint of mischief as he looked at her, his smile taking on a leering quality.

Suddenly, Mr. Fu felt a chill run down his spine, as if he was being drilled intently by a pair of cold eyes.

He quickly surveyed the room, but apart from Boss Zheng and Qin Sisi, there was no one else around.

Confused, he rolled his eyes. Was a ghost playing tricks in broad daylight? No, that couldn’t be - it was just his imagination. Yes, a re fignt of his imagination.

Ye You silently withdrew his stare from Mr. Fu, glancing at Qin Sisi with a complex expression - a mix of sympathy, desire, and speechlessness.

Boss Zheng looked sowhat uneasy too. She cleared her throat and told Qin Sisi, "Ignore the bed for now, see if there’s anything unusual in this room."

"Okay," Qin Sisi replied before imdiately turning her attention from the strange bed to inspect the room.

Nothing appeared out of the ordinary on the surface but when Qin Sisi closed her eyes and concentrated on the energy flow in the air, she sensed a thread of cold aura.

She snapped her eyes open, uncertain and delighted at the sa ti, and looked towards Ye You, who was already gazing at her and responded with a gentle nod of affirmation.

So, Ye You sensed it too, which ant that there was definitely sothing amiss there.

Relieved, Qin Sisi finally discerned what Mr. Fu ant by the "unusual" thing he had ntioned.

Following that, she felt a twinge of anxiety as she wondered what kind of ghost manifestation she might encounter this ti.

Seeing that Qin Sisi and Boss Zheng had fallen silent, an impatient Mr. Fu asked, "I sleep here with my wife every night, there shouldn’t be any issues, right?"

Boss Zheng looked at Qin Sisi inquisitively, who, after slight hesitation, told Mr. Fu, "Tonight, I will spend the full night here, it would be best if you and your wife rest in another room."

This made Mr. Fu tense, he asked anxiously, "What do you an? Is there sothing wrong with my bedroom?"

Boss Zheng subtly signaled Qin Sisi and reassured Mr. Fu gently, "Take it easy. We have so suspicions which can only be confird by staying in the room overnight since such unclean things usually manifest after dark."

Seeing the stern expressions on Qin Sisi and Boss Zheng, Mr. Fu beca serious because this matter could greatly impact him.

Best case, his house is still clean as he thought, and worst case, if there was sothing, he would be better off letting them handle it. There was no harm in trying.

After all, what was one night in another room?

Having thought it through, Mr. Fu readily agreed, "Deal, you’re here to help

and I should definitely cooperate fully."

He then turned to Qin Sisi and asked, "So, Lady Mage, are you going to stay in the room starting from now?"

Hearing his reference to her, Qin Sisi knew Boss Zheng had revealed her identity and she didn’t have to hide anymore.

She checked the ti, noted it was just past nine, and responded, "There is no hurry, you still have ti to discuss with your wife whether anything needs to be packed."

Mr. Fu nodded, led Boss Zheng and Qin Sisi downstairs, ordered servants to prepare so late-night als, and then called his beautiful wife upstairs.

After so ti, Mr. Fu and Mrs. Fu ca downstairs together, Mrs. Fu looking particularly displeased.

She cast an unhappy glance at Qin Sisi and said resentfully, "Decides to stay in the host’s bedroom as soon as she arrives, I wonder what she’s plotting!"

Mr. Fu gently touched Mrs. Fu’s arm and whispered, "Don’t say that, they are here for our safety."

Mrs. Fu shook off his arm angrily and retorted, "What’s unsafe about us? Why are you so superstitious?"

Mr. Fu tried to console her, "With such things, it’s better safe than sorry."

Qin Sisi looked on, coldly. Mrs. Fu appeared a little unreasonable at the mont, while Mr. Fu seed a considerate, well-mannered husband.

But, if he genuinely cared about his wife, then why the suspicions leading him to have Boss Zheng investigate whether there was sothing strange about his wife?

Despite Mrs. Fu’s displeasure, Mr. Fu’s insistence won out in the end.

Considering that their union was one of money and beauty, and that economic status determined the balance of power in their relationship, the disgruntled Mrs. Fu eventually packed so things and retreated to another room for the night.

With Mr. Fu’s company, Qin Sisi and Boss Zheng enjoyed the late-night al. Post dinner, Qin Sisi told Mr. Fu, "Mr. Fu, please arrange a room for Uncle Zheng. I can manage staying in your bedroom on my own."

"Just you?" Mr. Fu seed taken aback, as he had assud Boss Zheng would be with Qin Sisi.

When Boss Zheng had told Mr. Fu about Qin Sisi being a disciple of a revered sage and her exceptional mana, he didn’t question her. But given Qin Sisi’s young age, he couldn’t help but wonder how strong her mana could really be. He felt more assured with the seasoned Boss Zheng.

Having witnessed Qin Sisi’s skills before and knowing that she typically worked alone, Boss Zheng saw no surprises here.

Boss Zheng explained the situation to Mr. Fu and assured him not to worry. In her assured tone, she vouched for Qin Sisi.

With Boss Zheng’s guarantee, Mr. Fu no longer questioned and arranged a bedroom for Boss Zheng.

Once the arrangents were done, Qin Sisi, hugging Ye You, walked at a leisurely pace into the glistening golden room.
