Chapter 440: Chapter 440: Don’t Know How He Died_1
Entering the room, she closed the door and locked it.
The possibility of encountering a ghost was very high, so Qin Sisi didn’t want to be disturbed during the process of subduing the ghost.
Looking at the peculiarly shaped, golden bed, Qin Sisi couldn’t help but ask Ye You, "Do you know what special function this bed has?"
Ye You’s eyes flickered slightly and instead of answering, he asked, "Do you really want to know?"
Qin Sisi felt sothing odd about Ye You’s tone. She looked at him in puzzlent.
Ye You caught Qin Sisi’s innocent gaze, which made him feel a bit uncomfortable. He coughed lightly, leaned closer to Qin Sisi’s ear, and lowered his volu, "It’s ... for spicing things up when a couple makes love at night..."
Qin Sisi quickly raised her head, looking incredulously at Ye You and then at the gleaming golden bed, her face growing gradually redder.
Seeing Qin Sisi blushing and embarrassed, Ye You controlled his gaze and turned his head away, deciding not to elaborate on the topic at that mont.
Qin Sisi took several deep breaths, then plucked up the courage to ask Ye You, "Does the Demon Sacred Realm have such beds as well?" Otherwise, how could Ye You know about it?
"Yes." Ye You answered quietly, having a bad feeling about the direction of the conversation.
"Have you seen it before?" Qin Sisi continued to probe.
"I ... saw it once." Ye You answered honestly, feeling that lying might complicate things even more.
"You ..." Qin Sisi wanted to ask more, but found it hard to get the words out. Yet, not knowing bothered her.
Ye You, seeing the conflicted expression on Qin Sisi’s face, paused for a mont, then took the initiative to explain, "I have a classmate who is well versed in this stuff. I saw it at his place once, just glanced, nothing more."
"Oh." Qin Sisi responded. A faint smile floated on her lips, barely discernible.
Ye You sighed lightly, then leaned close to her ear again, and asked in a deep, alluring voice, "Are you satisfied now, my silly girl?"
"You ..." Qin Sisi felt embarrassed, yet before she could retort, she suddenly sensed a chilling presence rapidly approaching, her expression turning serious.
Ye You imdiately felt it too, erecting an Invisible Bubble with a wave of his paw, hiding both Qin Sisi and himself from view.
A few minutes later, a faint ghostly figure drifted in through the window.
As expected, it was a ghost!
Qin Sisi perked up, focusing her attention on the ghost that had just entered the room.
It was a man, a very young man.
He was slim and tall, dressed in a white shirt and black trousers, with a rather handso face and glasses, giving him an air of intellectual refinent.
Seeing that the room was empty, the ghost appeared startled, standing there dumbfoundedly, staring at the glittering golden bed.
At this mont, a clear voice arose from behind him, "Hello."
The ghost was taken by surprise, whirling around in shock, only to find a young woman standing not far away. She was dressed in a grey-blue dress suit, standing gracefully, with a black cat perched on her shoulder.
The woman and cat were observing him carefully.
Since she was a guest, and it was inappropriate to wear all black, Qin Sisi had chosen a dark coloured suit. It wouldn’t draw too much attention and was also respectful.
The ghost’s mouth fell open. He realized that she could see him even though she wasn’t a ghost - this could only an that she was a Mage.
With a sudden swift movent, the ghost tried to float towards the window and escape.
Ye You swiftly raised his paw, a golden light shot out from his hand, and in the next second, had bound the man securely with the Vajra Bundling Spirit Rope.
The man’s limbs were tied, he lost his balance and stumbled onto the floor.
Qin Sisi stepped forward, grabbed the Vajra Bundling Spirit Rope, and lightly lifted the man from the ground. As a ghost, he didn’t really have any weight.
The man regained his balance and looked at Qin Sisi in surprise and fear, asking tremulously, "Why did you capture ?"
A quirked eyebrow was Qin Sisi’s response as she countered, "Why did you run?"
Perhaps realizing that Qin Sisi didn’t seem to intend on attacking him further, the man’s nerves steadied a bit, and he retorted, "When a ghost encounters a Mage, shouldn’t it flee?"
Qin Sisi thought for a mont, then nodded in agreent, "Makes sense, you’re smart."
This remark seed to touch a sore spot with the man. His expression changed and he murmured, "I’m not smart, I’m very stupid."
His voice was small, but Qin Sisi, standing right in front of him, heard it clearly.
Qin Sisi sensed that this ghost didn’t have much power nor any strong malevolent energy. Confusion, however, perated his countenance.
Curiously, Qin Sisi asked, "Do you think you’re very stupid? Why?"
The more she learned about what the ghost thought, the more advantageous it would be in terms of negotiating for his Soul Power.
The ghost gave a wry smile and said, "I don’t even know how I died, isn’t that stupid enough?"
Qin Sisi was taken aback; it was unusual. Regardless of whether it was sickness or an accident, the deceased was supposed to know the cause. Yet this ghost didn’t know how he had died.
Qin Sisi turned to look at Ye You, who only shook his head slightly, indicating he didn’t quite understand either.
Just as Qin Sisi was about to inquire further, the ghost asked, "Miss, are you really a Mage?"
Qin Sisi was slightly surprised, "You just said I was a Mage, I thought you were certain."
The ghost shook his head weakly, "That was just a guess."
The ghost’s voice lacked vitality and his deanor was rather desolate, he seed completely dispirited.
"Miss Mage, what are your plans for ?" The ghost understood the difference between the living and the dead, and knew that ghosts shouldn’t stay in the mortal world. Thus, he was rather anxious about Qin Sisi’s plans for him.
After a mont’s hesitation, Qin Sisi replied, "I need Soul Power."
Qin Sisi only said this much, she wanted to first see the ghost’s reaction.
The ghost’s face changed slightly, "Will my soul scatter then?"
Qin Sisi replied, "Temporarily, it will. However, your soul will eventually regather."
"Isn’t that a long ti from now?" The ghost pressed further.
Qin Sisi remained silent, acknowledging silently that this ghost was indeed smart.
Understanding Qin Sisi’s silent admission, a bitter expression crossed the ghost’s face as he sighed, "My life is really tragic. I died inexplicably, and now, my soul will scatter just as inexplicably."
Qin Sisi blinked, a hint of sympathy welling up in her heart. In this context, the ghost did seem quite pitiful.
"What is your na?" Qin Sisi asked.
"Yu Feng." The ghost replied indifferently, void of any expression.
Qin Sisi nodded, then stated solemnly, "Yu Feng, I need you to willingly offer your Soul Power to . In exchange, I will help you fulfill any unrealized desires you had before you died. Take so ti to consider it."
