Chapter 375: Chapter 375: The Ghost Legend of the Old Library_1

Qin Sisi pondered for a mont before addressing Ding Jiayuan, "Alright, Jia Yuan. Don’t let your imagination run wild. There are plenty of people at school, and the Yang energy is very strong. How could there be ghosts?

Right now, it’s the twelfth lunar month, and everyone is quite busy. Wait until the New Year has passed and it’s the first lunar month. You can invite so more classmates and play this adventurous ga together."

Finally, Ding Jiayuan hung up the phone in disappointnt.

Her intention was really curiosity and a desire for fun. She had always strongly believed that there were no ghosts in this world. However, after experiencing the strange events in her own villa and what happened to her brother, Ding Jiayuan’s firm belief started to change.

Thinking of the ghost that has been rumored for many years in the school’s old library, Ding Jiayuan really wanted to explore it. However, she was afraid that if there were really ghosts, they might hurt her, so she thought of roping in Qin Sisi.

But Qin Sisi had too many secrets she needed to hide, so she declined her request.

Ding Jiayuan was disappointed, but she was helpless. She dare not go alone, so the thod suggested by Qin Sisi beca the only feasible one.

Ding Jiayuan was only disappointed for a while. She quickly regained her spirit, and began to plan her exploration during the first lunar month.

However, before Ding Jiayuan hung up, Qin Sisi casually asked, "Jia Yuan, which school do you attend?"

Ding Jiayuan sullenly replied, "I’m at Municipal High School Number One. Only such an old school would be haunted."

Qin Sisi gave a small chuckle, saying her goodbyes.

After hanging up the call, Qin Sisi lapsed into deep thought, her delicate eyebrows slightly furrowed.

Ye You walked over to her, raised her head to look at Qin Sisi who was absorbed in her thoughts, and said puzzledly, "You’re actually encouraging her to go and explore where the ghost haunts. That’s not like you!"

No one understands how terrifying evil spirits can be better than Qin Sisi. How could she possibly encourage a minor to adventure into a haunted place?

Qin Sisi smirked and said, "That place might not really be haunted! If they go and see for themselves, they might give up on this idea."

"What if there really is a ghost? Won’t they be in danger?" Ye You asked further, the confusion in her eyes slowly fading away.

"I told her to go during the first lunar month. By the ti they go, even if there are ghosts, we would have already caught them," Qin Sisi replied slightly smugly, and winked mischievously at Ye You.

A faint smile appeared in Ye You’s purple eyes as she said, "Hmm, you’re really clever."

Qin Sisi sensed the unusual tone in Ye You’s words. After thinking about it for a mont, she reproachfully said, "You had already guessed it, hadn’t you? You deliberately asked so many questions."

Ye You laughed and said, "No way, with such a brilliant plan of yours, how could I possibly guess?"

Qin Sisi was both amused and annoyed. She raised her fist as if to punch Ye You, but eventually couldn’t bring herself to hit the small cat and withdrew her fist in resignation. She threw a glance at Ye You and said, "I’m not going to talk to you anymore."

Then, Qin Sisi moved to the other end of the sofa and started searching on her phone about the haunted old library in Municipal High School Number One.

The rumors online were scarce; it seed that the school had done sothing to address this issue. Begrudgingly, Qin Sisi found a few posts related to this, and the tone of those Posters was similar to Ding Jiayuan’s, all passing along the rumor.

The general situation was that approximately twenty years ago, a staff mber who had just graduated died unexpectedly in the library. So said he was the school’s music teacher while others believed he was the librarian.

Others claid that it wasn’t just one person who died that day but several.

The deceased young man could play the piano, and there was an old piano placed on the second floor of the library.

The day he died was a rainy one. After that, every ti it rained at night, there were reports of piano sounds coming from the second floor of the old library.

Once, a staff mber on night duty heard the piano sound and called up a few brave colleagues to investigate. They found no one inside the library.

In an atmosphere of fear, the principal tried to have the old piano moved. However, during the process, a nearby bookshelf suddenly collapsed, injuring several workers involved in the moving. After that, no one dared to move it again.

There was even consideration given to demolishing the entire library. Unfortunately, this old building was once part of a temple and had a notable heritage. Its architectural style was also very characteristic. In addition, because of its age, it was listed as a historical and cultural relic by the state and could not be demolished.

Left with no other options, the school built a new library when constructing new teaching buildings. The second floor of the old library was sealed off, with only less frequently used books stored on the first floor.

The staff would go in to clean the first floor once a week, but no one else ever entered again.

Over the years, the stories beca more and more bizarre, all centered around the old piano on the second floor of the old library.

Besides the rainy night piano sounds and the bookshelf that collapsed when the piano was moved, no other strange incidents had occurred at the school.

Even the poster himself admitted that he had rely heard all this and was unsure about the authenticity, suggesting that everyone should just treat it as a tale.

Qin Sisi showed Ye You what she had found on her phone and quietly asked, "What do you think?"

Ye You took the phone, yet her gaze fell on Qin Sisi, teasingly saying, "Didn’t you say you aren’t talking to

anymore?"

Qin Sisi felt a bit embarrassed and replied, "I’m talking about serious matters with you. Don’t change the subject."

Ye You chuckled, lowered her head and started reading the text on the phone screen.

After reading, Ye You pondered for a mont and finally said, "Where there’s smoke, there’s fire. I feel like the possibility of there being a ghost is high."

Qin Sisi nodded and said, "I think so too."

She then stood up, stretched, and smiled lightly, saying, "There’s no ti like the present. I slept all day today, and I feel very energetic right now. Let’s go take a look."

Ye You’s gaze flickered slightly, but she remained silent.

Qin Sisi asked a little puzzledly, "Don’t you agree?"

Shouldn’t Ye You be even more eager to deal with the ghost, now that she’s heard of its presence?

Ye You smiled and said, "No, it’s not that. I originally intended to give you sothing, but it seems like it can only wait until tomorrow."

"What is it?" Qin Sisi asked curiously. Judging from Ye You’s tone, it seed to be sothing important.

Ye You shook her head and replied, "You’ll know tomorrow. For now, let’s prepare for going to Municipal High School Number One."

"Alright then." Qin Sisi didn’t press further. She would find out tomorrow anyway. The most important thing at the mont was to check out the old library at Municipal High School Number One and see if there really were ghosts there.

It wasn’t even ten o’clock at night yet, with plenty of ti. Qin Sisi used her phone to check the route to Municipal High School Number One and the location of the old library there.

With a clear understanding, it was easier to act.
