Chapter 369: Chapter 369: The Heaven-sent Ruyi Gentleman_1
Qin Sisi approached Jin Zhu and Ding Jiawang, whispering softly, "Why put yourself through all this? He doesn’t even love you."
Jin Zhu shook her head, she didn’t look at Qin Sisi. Her infatuated gaze remained fixed on Ding Jiawang’s face. She spoke in a daze, "I made a vow before the Buddha, asking that he grant
a perfect husband. I was willing to abstain from at and chant sutras to demonstrate my sincerity."
"Once he appears, I will give him my most precious gold jewelry as a token of our love, to symbolize the unbreakable bond between us."
"But just after I made my wish, the earth shook and rocked, and then, the temple collapsed..."
Her life, blooming in its pri, was extinguished in a natural disaster. Confused and shaken, Jin Zhu’s soul left her body.
At the mont of death, she seed to hear the Buddha granting her request.
A girl of sixteen or seventeen is in the throes of first love, at an age when love outweighs all. For this blurred illusion, Jin Zhu decided to linger in the human world as a wild ghost, waiting for her destined one promised by the Buddha.
Fa for a mountain resides not in its height, but in the presence of immortals; depth of a river matters not, for the presence of a dragon is what makes it magical.
Although the temple in the mountains was remote, it was said to be highly efficacious.
Jin Zhu believed that her sincerity moved the Buddha, and her wish would certainly be granted.
Her ghost was attached to her most precious hairpin, waiting year after year.
A century later, with the developnt of economy and transportation, villas were built at the foot of the mountain. The fallen temple in the mountains had long been forgotten by the world, and beca even less known many years later.
Ding Jiawang, who ca for a picnic with his classmates, accidentally picked up the hairpin - the love token that Jin Zhu vowed to give to her perfect husband.
The ghost of Jin Zhu, attached to the hairpin, was attracted by Ding Jiawang’s handso appearance. She believed him to be the husband bestowed by the Buddha.
In the dead of night, when yin energy was high, the ghost of Jin Zhu floated out of the hairpin, extracting Ding Jiawang’s soul from his body and drifted with her to the ruins left by the collapsed temple.
She had already heard Ding Jiawang’s na when his classmates called out to him, and it felt oddly familiar.
"Mr. Ding... Mr. Ding..."
The gentle calls were irresistible to Ding Jiawang. His wandering soul trembled, following Jin Zhu to the place where she died.
Ding Jiawang was oblivious to the fact he was out of his body, thinking he had t a beautiful woman on a late-night journey. If not for Qin Sisi’s sudden appearance that awakened him from his dream, he would have perhaps never returned to the world of the living, instead spending eternity with Jin Zhu.
Ti was running short. He had to return Ding Jiawang’s soul before four o’clock, so Qin Sisi couldn’t afford to let Jin Zhu continue to delay. She turned her head and signaled Ye You.
Ye You raised his claw, and quickly threw out the Vajra Bundling Spirit Rope. It imdiately bound the ghost of Jin Zhu, and then pulled forcefully to separate Jin Zhu from Ding Jiawang.
Jin Zhu struggled desperately, screaming out for her "Mr. Ding" at the top of her lungs, while Ding Jiawang breathed out a sigh of relief, wearing the expression of one who had narrowly escaped death.
Jin Zhu turned to Qin Sisi, begging sorrowfully, pleading Qin Sisi to let them be and for their love strong as gold.
Qin Sisi could only shake her head helplessly, saying in a deep voice, "He does not love you, nor does he want to die with you, so I must take him back."
Jin Zhu, however, was deep in her own delusion and unwilling to wake up. She called Ding Jiawang incessantly, cursing at Qin Sisi.
Ye You who observed this was irritated and waved his claw slightly. A streak of purple light struck Jin Zhu’s head directly and she instantly fainted.
Ye You made a slight grab gesture towards Jin Zhu, and her ghost was absorbed by Ye You into the Portable Space and disappeared in front of Qin Sisi.
The surroundings finally cald down. Ye You said to Qin Sisi, "Hurry up."
Qin Sisi nodded, walked to Ding Jiawang and broke the tie that bound him.
Ding Jiawang’s complexion returned a bit, he gratefully said, "Thank you, Miss."
"No need to be polite, co." Qin Sisi responded, turning around to take the long bamboo pole with Ding Jiawang’s clothes on it.
Qin Sisi gave Ding Jiawang a push, then Ding Jiawang’s soul drifted towards his own clothes. A mont later, his soul was firmly attached to his clothes.
Qin Sisi steadied the bamboo pole and sighed a breath of relief, gesturing a victory sign to Ye You.
"Let’s go," Ye You spoke and raised his claw to draw a semicircle above his head, a translucent silver sphere soon ford.
Qin Sisi, holding the bamboo pole in one hand, grabbed Da Huang’s clothes with the other, and stepped into Ye You’s silver sphere.
Ye You harnessed Magic to propel the silver sphere towards the direction of Ding’s Mansion.
The four people waiting in the mansion were naturally unable to sleep. Mr. Ding and Mrs. Ding guarded their son’s room, while Ding Jiayuan sat with Boss Zheng in the living room.
Ding Jiayuan, being lively by nature, couldn’t resist chatting with Boss Zheng, who was old enough to be her grandfather.
Seizing the opportunity, Boss Zheng told Ding Jiayuan so interesting stories about pet dogs.
Ding Jiayuan listened with sparkly eyes, as the young and old enjoyed the conversation.
Driving the silver sphere, Ye You gradually approached Ding’s Mansion. Afraid of being seen, he dispelled the sphere right before reaching the front door.
Qin Sisi, carrying the bamboo pole, entered Ding’s Mansion. Ye You perched on her shoulder, with Da Huang following at her side.
Entering Ding’s Mansion, Qin Sisi checked the ti. Just a few minutes before four o’clock, she hurriedly greeted Boss Zheng and Ding Jiayuan and rushed upstairs to Ding Jiawang’s room.
Upon seeing Qin Sisi, Mr. Ding and Mrs. Ding anxiously asked, "Master Qin, how did it go?"
Qin Sisi nodded and said, "I found him, step aside, quickly."
Mr. Ding and Mrs. Ding experienced a mixture of astonishnt and joy. The burden in their heart finally lifted. They promptly made way for Qin Sisi.
Qin Sisi walked to Ding Jiawang’s side, untied the clothes from the bamboo pole, and draped them over Ding Jiawang.
Qin Sisi stood in front of the bed, blocking so of the sight of Mr. and Mrs. Ding. Ye You seized the opportunity to raise his claw, releasing little silver sparks of light that fell onto the clothes.
In reality, a ghost can slowly rge with its body when it’s near it. However, due to the imminent sunrise, Ye You feared that there would be issues with the rging process. So, he used magic to expedite the soul’s entry into its body.
Gradually, Ding Jiawang’s complexion changed a bit, regaining a touch of color. His breathing was no longer weak as it was before, but slightly powerful.
Qin Sisi and Ye You t eyes, with Ye You giving a slight nod.
Qin Sisi breathed a sigh of relief. She stepped away from the bed and nodded to Mr. and Mrs. Ding.
