Chapter 370: Chapter 370: Awakening from the Dream_1
Mr. Ding and Mrs. Ding, upon seeing Qin Sisi’s nod, imdiately rushed to their son, softly calling out Ding Jiawang’s na.
At this mont, Ding Jiayuan and Boss Zheng also arrived. Boss Zheng respectfully stood at the door, while Jiawang took a few steps forward and stood behind his mother, also calling out, "Brother."
Everyone held their breath and anxiously waited for a mont then, finally, Ding Jiawang slowly opened his eyes.
"Jiawang, Jiawang, you’re finally awake," Mrs. Ding cried tears of joy, incessantly caressing her son’s head.
Ding Jiawang looked around in bewildernt and mumbled, "I feel like I had a very strange dream."
At this mont, Jia Wang’s gaze landed on Qin Sisi, prompting an abrupt change in his expression: "It’s you?"
Qin Sisi nodded: "It’s ."
"So it wasn’t a dream?" Ding Jiawang nervously looked at Qin Sisi as if asking her, but also asking himself.
Qin Sisi thought for a mont, then gently said, "Just consider it a dream."
Ding Jiawang had accidentally found Jin Zhu’s hairpin; he didn’t fall in love with her, he didn’t want to get entangled with her, so there was no need to bring him any psychological pressure with this incident.
Ding Jiawang was silent for a long while, then finally nodded slowly, muttering to himself, "Yes, just a dream."
After speaking, Ding Jiawang seed to rember sothing. He lifted his pillow and looked underneath - nothing was there.
He exhaled and said, "Indeed, it was just a dream."
Imdiately after, Ding Jiawang looked at Qin Sisi and said, "Thank you for waking
from that dream."
Qin Sisi paused for a mont, then replied lightly, "You’re welco."
A flash of Jin Zhu’s passionately infatuated image crossed Qin Sisi’s mind and she inwardly sighed.
After not eating or drinking for a day and two nights, Ding Jiawang’s body was sowhat weary, but his ntal state remained good. He reassured his parents and sister, "Dad, Mum, Jia Yuan, I’m alright now, no need to worry."
Mrs. Ding, wiping her tears with a tissue, also nodded, saying, "Good, good, as long as you’re okay."
Ding Jiayuan curiously leaned in and asked, "Brother, what kind of dream did you have?"
Ding Jiawang’s expression froze, but before he could respond, Mrs. Ding already pulled Jiayuan away, scolding, "Why so many questions? Your brother is tired, he needs to rest, and you should go to bed too."
"Can’t I even ask?" Ding Jiayuan sulkily pouted, unwillingly leaving Ding Jiawang’s room.
Mr. Ding then turned to Qin Sisi and Boss Zheng and said, "It’s still early, and it’s dark outside. If you don’t mind, how about you rest here awhile before you go ho?"
Boss Zheng looked at Qin Sisi inquiringly because last ti, Qin Sisi insisted on hurrying back to the city at night, causing Boss Zheng to worry she won’t want to stay.
Qin Sisi thought for a mont. She considered that Boss Zheng was older and hadn’t slept all night. Driving in the middle of the night wasn’t safe.
Secondly, Qin Sisi wanted to communicate with Jin Zhu’s ghost again, hoping to convince her to give up her Soul Power. If this had anything to do with Ding Jiawang, it would be more convenient to stay here to handle things.
Therefore, Qin Sisi said to Mr. Ding, "Let’s do as you suggest."
Having said that, Qin Sisi looked towards Boss Zheng, wanting to seek his opinion.
In his heart, Boss Zheng also wanted to rest a bit before heading back at dawn. Seeing that Qin Sisi was willing to stay, he imdiately said, "Good."
Mr. Ding then instructed the housekeeper to prepare rooms for Qin Sisi and Boss Zheng. About fifteen minutes later, the housekeeper returned to say the rooms were ready.
Qin Sisi and Boss Zheng followed the housekeeper up the stairs towards the guest rooms prepared for them.
As they passed by Ding Jiayuan’s room on the second floor, Jiayuan, who was standing at her door, quickly called out, "Mage sister, co here for a bit."
Qin Sisi halted, and the housekeeper revealed a few traces of awkwardness on her face.
Ding Jiayuan gestured with her chin to the housekeeper and said, "You go and lead Boss Zheng up first. I have sothing to say to Mage sister."
The housekeeper, left with no choice, resignedly told Qin Sisi the location of her room, then led Boss Zheng up to the third floor.
Qin Sisi looked at Ding Jiayuan and asked, "Jiayuan, what is it?"
Ding Jiayuan looked around, then stepped closer, grabbing Qin Sisi’s arm and saying, "Co in and let’s talk."
Since Qin Sisi wanted to give Da Huang to Ding Jiayuan, she willingly followed Jiayuan into her room.
The decoration of Jiayuan’s room was lovely - pink bed sheets, pink curtains, a white desk, and computer table, a very romantic girl’s bedroom style.
Ding Jiayuan, keeping her voice down, asked, "Mage sister, did my brother really lose his soul?"
Qin Sisi nodded in response, "Yes, but now it’s been found."
Jiayuan, with a gossiping twinkle in her eye, asked, "How did he lose it?"
"Well..." Qin Sisi hesitated. This involved soone else’s privacy; it didn’t seem right to just casually share.
Seeing Qin Sisi’s hesitation, Ding Jiayuan’s curiosity was piqued. With a mischievous giggle, she guessed, "It couldn’t have been stolen by that beautiful woman, could it?"
Admittedly, Ding Jiayuan was spot-on.
After pondering, Qin Sisi decided not to tell the truth. She vaguely offered, "Don’t think too much. It could have been so unclean thing your brother encountered during his hike the day before yesterday, which may have caused his soul to be lost."
"Oh, I see..." Jiayuan seed sowhat disappointed. The reply wasn’t as exciting or interesting as she’d hoped.
Qin Sisi glanced at Da Huang, who lay at her feet, and said to Jiayuan, "Jiayuan, Da Huang has traveled with
all this way and must be hungry. Could you find sothing for him to eat?"
Jiayuan imdiately perked up, vigorously nodding her head and responding, "Yes, yes, no problem. Wait for !"
Jiayuan hurriedly dashed downstairs and promptly returned, carrying several bags of dried at.
Jiayuan tore open the at bags and began feeding Da Huang, who ate with evident delight, becoming increasingly attached to Jiayuan.
At an appropriate mont, Qin Sisi yawned, saying, "Jiayuan, that’s enough. I’m tired. I want to rest for a while."
Jiayuan, her eyes darting around, suggested, "Mage sister, Da Huang hasn’t had his fill yet. Why don’t you go rest, and leave Da Huang with ?"
"Well..." Qin Sisi seed very hesitant.
Jiayuan slapped her chest and confidently assured, "Don’t worry, I promise to take good care of Da Huang."
"Alright then." Qin Sisi gently patted Da Huang’s head, offering a symbolic few words of caution, then left with Ye You.
"Goodbye, Mage Sister!" Jiayuan’s voice rang out brightly from behind as she bid Qin Sisi farewell.
Qin Sisi waved back at her, then proceeded upstairs.
Once out of sight, Qin Sisi and Ye You exchanged glances, each revealing a faint smile.
