Chapter 22: Chapter 22: Summoning the Wings of the Rainbow_1

Qin Sisi again shook her wrist, flaunting the bracelet: a proclaid priceless treasure. She comforted herself, "But with this generous gift you gave , I think I should be safe."

Ye You was silent for a while before he slowly said, "Defending without attacking will always put you at a disadvantage, let

give you another gift." With that, he gently raised his claw, and a faint glow flickered before quickly disappearing. Sothing new appeared on the table.

Qin Sisi’s eyes were imdiately drawn to the pair of colorful, mini wings. She carefully placed them in her palm, examining each feather as they transitioned from deep red to orange, yellow, green, cyan, blue, and finally to purple, vivid and brilliant like two tiny rainbows.

Qin Sisi reached out to touch the wings, finding them soft, light, and as smooth as silk.

Unable to hold back her admiration, she exclaid, "This craftsmanship is just too perfect. It’s like the real thing."

Ye You said blandly, "It is real."

Qin Sisi looked up at Ye You in surprise, "Are you saying these are real wings? Not handicrafts?"

"Hmm." Ye You nodded in confirmation.

Qin Sisi felt incredible. What kind of bird would have such small and colourful wings? But recalling Ye You’s mysterious nature, anything related to him wouldn’t seem so strange.

With that, she bent down again, examining the tiny wings with skepticism, muttering to herself, "But, what kind of bird has wings so small?"

Ye You felt a bit helpless, but it was to be expected. Qin Sisi was a normal person from the Human World, her lack of knowledge about the Demon Sacred Realm was only natural.

Ye You used his sharp right claw to lightly scratch his left leg. Fresh, red blood seeped from the wound. Ye You dropped a dab of blood onto the wings while muttering an unknown spell.

After that, Ye You said to Qin Sisi, "I need a drop of your blood."

"Oh." Qin Sisi was about to find a small knife to cut her finger when Ye You quickly scratched the back of her hand, causing a long cut to appear on her fair skin.

Qin Sisi frowned in pain, and glared at Ye You indignantly, "What are you doing?"

"Hurry up," Ye You urged without caring about her displeasure.

Biting down on her lip, Qin Sisi let the blood from her wound drop onto the wings.

As Qin Sisi’s drop fell, Ye You covered her wound with the soft part of his claw and muttered a spell. His magic power trickled out, and her fair skin quickly healed.

Qin Sisi lifted her healed hand for a look, and softly said, "Thank you."

Ye You replied lightly, "There’s no need, it’s my fault for hurting you. I should heal you." He then lapsed into silence, not fully understanding why he would scratch her just to heal her. Weren’t there other ways? Could it just be for those few minutes of physical contact?

Shutting his eyes, Ye You scoffed at himself. A strange, irresistible emotion spread from the bottom of his heart.

The two drops of blood rolled around the feathers for a while and then disappeared. The wings, now absorbed with the blood, began to emit a faint glow and started to grow bigger and bigger, until each wing was almost two ters long, with the tips brushing the wall.

The wings moved slightly, displaying a beautiful array of the seven colours, dazzling, indicating a majestic dignity that must not be violated.

Qin Sisi, stunned, had yet to say anything when the wings disappeared into her body. She quickly turned around to see nothing behind her. She spun around in confusion, glanced at Ye You for help when there was nothing visible.

Ye You opened his eyes and explained to Qin Sisi, "My drop of blood was for the termination of my contract, yours was for the bonding. You are now its master, and it’s beco a part of you."

At this revelation, Qin Sisi swiftly felt her back, finding no difference in touch or sensation.

Holding back his laughter, Ye You explained, "The wings have fused with your body, they haven’t, technically, grown out of your back. So, you can’t feel them."

Qin Sisi queried, "When will they appear?"

Ye You replied, "Their na is ’Wings of Rainbow’. When you call their na, they’ll show up."

’Wings of Rainbow’ was an apt na indeed.

Qin Sisi nodded her head, trying to call them softly, "Wings of Rainbow?"

For a long while, the room remained still and silent.

Qin Sisi turned to Ye You for guidance again, and he instructed, "You need to communicate with them with your heart. Your tone can’t be so hesitant – you must be firm. Trust that they are your partners who will heed your summoning and fight with you."

Sisi nodded, adjusted her state of mind, and loudly called, "Wings of Rainbow."

Again, she waited for a long ti in silence.

Qin Sisi’s face reddened, drops of sweat appeared on her forehead, and she looked at Ye You embarrassingly and quizzically.

With a gentle voice, Ye You said, "Don’t rush. It’s natural to face so difficulties at the beginning. Just feel it carefully and try again."

Now Ye You was as gentle as moonlight. His intoxicating voice, like faint moonlight, swept over Qin Sisi’s heart.

The anxious and nervous Qin Sisi started to relax. She closed her eyes and took in Ye You’s words carefully.

"Connect with your heart, be firm, believe they’re your partners, that they’ll respond to your calling, fight with you."

A mont later, Qin Sisi opened her eyes, an extraordinary look flashed across her vivid, clear eyes, a splendor as dazzling as a gem.

Her hands clenched before her, Qin Sisi took a deep breath, and her clear and bright voice sounded assertively, "Wings of Rainbow!"

The small room was suddenly filled with a swirling glow, and a pair of beautiful large wings spread out behind Qin Sisi. An incredible sensation spread from her back throughout her body, giving the feeling of newfound lightness.

There was a trace of admiration in Ye You’s purple eyes. At that mont, Qin Sisi dressed simply was radiant. The joy on her face shone brilliantly under the enhancent of the Wings of Rainbow, Her clear eyes resembled gems that got washed in the Milky Way, dazzling and carried a trace of stubbornness and faith.

Excited, Qin Sisi quickly turned her head to glimpse at her wings but relaxed her focus unwittingly, causing the wings to retreat into her body again.

"..."

Sisi’s smile froze on her face as she sighed heavily in frustration.

Seeing this, Ye You approached her and suggested, "You did very well. With more practice, you will soon be able to control them freely."

Qin Sisi looked at Ye You half in doubt, "Really? You’re not trying to comfort ?"

Ye You shook his head, and seriously said, "No, I am not trying to comfort you. I an it."
