Chapter 218: Chapter 218 - A Small Token of Appreciation_1

If the sanitation worker didn’t bring it in himself, then it must have been brought in by the ghost. But, could a ghost that had only been dead for a year truly possess so much Spiritual Power?

Qin Sisi was very puzzled. It seed that to truly understand this matter, she would have to ask the person involved directly.

With everything she wanted to know clarified, Qin Sisi gave a slight smile to the departnt head and said, "I’m very grateful that you shared this internal information with us. The past events are over now. This restroom has returned to normal and can continue to be used. The school won’t have to worry about this matter anymore."

The departnt head once again eyed Qin Sisi and cautiously asked, "Could I ask...what exactly is your occupation?"

Qin Sisi briefly thought before answering, "I am a Mage—a Mage who catches ghosts."

The departnt head and his associates were always suspicious of them. It would be better to simply tell the truth. It might ease their caution.

Even though he had so guesses, upon hearing Qin Sisi’s admission, the departnt head was still shocked. In his mind, those who engaged in such activities were usually much older, like witches and sorcerers. Qin Sisi, a young girl, didn’t seem likely to possess such abilities.

When the strange things started happening in this restroom, the school had thought about recruiting so experts to check things out. However, the school, as a place for teaching and nurturing youth, must remain scientific and objective. Spread the word about engaging in feudal superstitions would make them a laughingstock, so they had to abandon the idea.

Yet, Qin Sisi and Ning Hao arrived unexpectedly in the middle of the night and discreetly took care of the situation for the school. If this place has really returned to normal, it would be hugely beneficial to the school.

Setting aside his pride as an intellectual, the departnt head lowered his voice and asked, "Miss, are you saying that there was indeed sothing dirty in this place?"

Qin Sisi responded loudly, "There was, but there isn’t anymore."

The departnt head let out a sigh of relief, and said gratefully, "If that’s true, then you are the school’s savior!"

Qin Sisi hurriedly responded modestly, "You are too kind, Departnt Head, I simply happened upon the situation."

At this point, Ning Hao gave Qin Sisi a signal, hinting that it was ti to leave. The situation had essentially been clarified, and Ning Yue was still unconscious in Ning Hao’s arms. Ning Hao was very worried and wanted to hurry back to have Qin Sisi take a good look at Ning Yue.

Qin Sisi slightly nodded, then turned to the departnt head and said, "Departnt Head, we will take our leave now if there’s nothing else."

The departnt head hesitated for a mont, then asked again, "Can we really use this restroom now?"

Qin Sisi affird, "There really is no problem anymore. You can use it as normal."

"That’s good, thank you so much, Miss." A huge weight was finally lifted from the departnt head’s heart.

Qin Sisi bent down to pick up Ye You, just about to leave when she rembered sothing else and asked the departnt head, "Departnt Head, what was the na of the student who was killed?"

After a brief thought, the departnt head answered, "Yuan Lishu."

The incident had a significant impact on the school, so the departnt head was deeply impressed by this na.

Qin Sisi nodded, paused, and then asked, "Was she a student in the art departnt? Was her singing really good?"

The departnt head was surprised as he looked at Qin Sisi. As a Mage, it was understandable that she could know about the ghost’s appearance and clothes. However, it was surprising that she had even noticed the ghost’s unique skill of singing.

After a mont of silence, the departnt head replied, "Yes, she was indeed studying vocal music."

No wonder she could sing so magically.

Realizing this, Qin Sisi said goodbye to the departnt head and followed Ning Hao out of the building.

"Wait a mont." Just as Qin Sisi was about to step outside, the departnt head suddenly called out.

Qin Sisi turned back, "Is there anything else, Departnt Head?"

It seed as if the departnt head had suddenly rembered sothing. He hurriedly reached into his pocket and pulled out his wallet, beginning to count out money.

Qin Sisi hadn’t caught on yet and asked with confusion, "Departnt Head, what are you doing?"

As he was counting the money, the departnt head explained, "I heard that such matters should not be done for free. One reason is to respect others, and the second reason is that insincerity reduces efficacy."

While speaking, the departnt head pulled out all the hundred-dollar bills from his wallet, amounting to six.

He frowned, seeming a bit unsatisfied, and then instructed his two assistants, "Did either of you bring any money? Take it out quickly."

The PE teacher took out three hundred from the pocket of his sports pants and handed it to the departnt head.

The security guard searched his body for a while and finally found one hundred, sowhat reluctantly handed it over to the departnt head.

The departnt head took a look and discontentedly said, "Only one bill?"

The security guard whined, "Departnt Head, how much do I make in a month anyway!"

The departnt head impatiently countered, "Alright, alright, I will raise your salary next month."

The security guard was instantly elated, thanking the departnt head repeatedly, saying, "Thank you, Departnt Head. Thank you, Departnt Head."

The departnt head handed the one thousand in his hand to Qin Sisi and said, "Miss, this is just a small token of our gratitude."

Qin Sisi hastily waved her hand, "No, no, there really is no need, Departnt Head."

Yet, the departnt head proceeded to insistently stuff the money into Qin Sisi’s hand, saying decisively, "You must accept it, as you have earned it."

Looking at the money in her hand, Qin Sisi struggled to make a decision. To accept it—she would be doing it for Soul Power, actually. But not to accept it—the departnt head was super insistent.

Ning Hao, anxious to leave, then said, "Sisi, just accept it. You’ve had a hard day."

Qin Sisi glanced at Ning Hao, rembering that she still owed him a hundred thousand. Taking a deep breath, she put the one thousand away and said to the departnt head, "Thank you, Departnt Head."

"You’re welco." The departnt head courteously replied.

Without saying anything more, Qin Sisi quickly followed Ning Hao out, leaving the departnt head and his two associates alone on the twelfth floor of the administrative building.

Out of the blue, the PE teacher in sportswear said, "Departnt Head, I still find them a little peculiar. That man who claims to be a cop—when we first entered, although the girl was blocking him, I felt that his arms were empty. But when the girl stepped aside, there was a little girl in his arms."

The security guard also stamred, "Actually, I... I also have this feeling."

The departnt head furrowed his eyebrows, deep in thought, then said, "Whether they are peculiar or not, if they really helped us solve the problem in this restroom, it is a great favor to us."

The PE teacher, still sowhat in disbelief, asked, "Departnt Head, do you think... is this restroom really fine now?"

Upon hearing this, all three n turned to look back at the empty restroom. The light was still on, and there were no abnormal signs.
