Chapter 217: Chapter 217: The Murder Case from a Year Ago_1
After the incident with the sanitation worker, the school’s top managent followed the sa procedures as last ti, calming people’s emotions and maintaining the normal order of school. They also dismissed the matter as an accident.
No matter whether the administrators believed in ghosts or not, they would never publicly associate the death of the sanitation worker with ghosts, though they could potentially strengthen the managent around the area.
Although this thod is palliative rather than curative, it could be understood from the school’s perspective.
There are thousands of students in the school. If this incident were publicized and then exaggerated through word of mouth, wouldn’t it create chaos?
Thinking of this, Qin Sisi had no intention of causing difficulty for the school staff. She spoke out loud, "The head doesn’t have to worry about how I knew. I can very clearly tell you that the restroom has returned to normal, and it can be used again."
The head beca more astounded, his eyes shimring as he looked at Qin Sisi carefully.
The black windbreaker, and the profound black cat lying at her feet, indeed gave her a different feel from ordinary girls.
Since she was in a hurry to leave with Ning Hao that evening, Qin Sisi did not wear her witch hat. Otherwise, the head might have had an easier ti guessing.
However, being able to hold a high position in a provincial university ant the head was no ordinary person. After seeing Qin Sisi’s clear eyes and calm deanor, knowing the restroom was haunted yet still daring to co and rescue people, the head guessed to a certain extent.
The head’s attitude beca much gentler, and he looked at Qin Sisi and asked, "There have indeed been so strange occurrences here recently. Can you give any advice?"
Qin Sisi’s character is one to give respect when she receives it.
Seeing the head’s polite attitude, Qin Sisi responded gently, "Mr. Head, I only know a little about this. Everything has a cause and effect. I only know the ’effect’; as for the ’cause’, I need to ask you."
There indeed was a ghost here, a young girl. If Qin Sisi wasn’t wrong, it was very likely a student from this university.
Why was a young, college-aged girl killed in the school’s restroom?
The ghost’s aura was also very intense, indicating that she must have been tortured in her life.
The head was silent for a mont, then looked back at the two other people standing behind him.
The young security guard, who was clever, saw the head looking at him and said imdiately, "Director, don’t worry. I absolutely won’t spread rumors outside; this is my professional ethic."
The man dressed in sportswear, who looked like a physical education teacher, also said, "Mr. Director, I’ve heard a little about that incident. Anyway, we’re all working for the good of the school and the students; I definitely won’t spread rumors."
After hearing the statents from these two associates, the head was slightly reassured. He looked at Qin Sisi, sighed deeply and said, "Everything here was normal until one incident occurred a year ago."
"Was there a murder?" Qin Sisi asked.
The head was not surprised with Qin Sisi’s spot-on assumption.
He nodded and said, "A female art student was murdered in this restroom."
A cloud passed over Qin Sisi’s eyes. As she thought, it was a female student from the school—another damned beauty!
Qin Sisi thought for a mont, then asked, "Was the girl very beautiful, and was she wearing pink clothes when she died?"
The head looked troubled and said painfully, "She was very beautiful, reportedly the bell of the Art Departnt. Her clothes were thrown aside, and they were indeed pink."
"The clothes were thrown aside?" Qin Sisi repeated quietly, suddenly realizing sothing. She exclaid, "She was..."
The director slowly nodded. As one of the administrators, he felt deep pain and helplessness about the incident in the school.
Qin Sisi asked angrily, "That’s terrible! Was the murderer caught?"
The head nodded again, sighed and continued, "He was caught. He was a male student from the school, also from the Art Departnt. He had a crush on her and confessed his feelings, but she rejected him. He felt humiliated and wanted revenge, so he lured her here, assaulted her and then cruelly killed her."
Qin Sisi clenched her fists. Such a narrow-minded male student, using murder as revenge for a failed confession. Romantic feelings should be mutual. Just because you like soone, it does not an they must like you back!
The head saw Qin Sisi’s angry expression and continued, "The male student was sentenced to death and has been executed."
Qin Sisi breathed a sigh of relief. Evil was finally punished; it seed there was justice in the world after all. Yet, sadly, that vibrant life could never be brought back.
Qin Sisi looked at the head and asked again, "What was the incident with the sanitation worker?"
The head looked up slightly as he recalled, "A year after the murder, the restroom beca strange. The lights that were on would suddenly go out, no matter how much noise you made by clapping or stamping. At night, students who ca here to use the bathroom said they could hear strange sounds, so said it sounded like singing, others said it sounded like crying."
Qin Sisi understood that the belle from the Art Departnt, unable to co to terms with her death, haunted the restroom, hence the strange occurrences.
The head continued, "The rumors about the haunted restroom beca increasingly outrageous, causing panic among the school population. Hence, the school issued a calming ssage to the students and closed off the restroom, stating that the pipes were broken and needed repairs. Subsequently, things gradually cald down, and we thought the whole incident was over."
"Who knew, a month ago, a female sanitation worker suddenly died of a heart attack here in this restroom."
Qin Sisi asked with a surprised look, "Cardiac arrest? That’s possible, right? Could it just be an accident?"
The head shook his head and said, "I do not dare to say if it was an accident, but this restroom was locked. The sanitation workers were told when they ca to work that they did not need to clean this restroom. I don’t know why she entered, especially since the lock was pried open."
This is indeed strange, as workers usually wouldn’t do work that they’re specifically told not to do. So why did she enter this reportedly haunted restroom?
Did she want to steal sothing from the school? But there’s really nothing in the restroom worth stealing!
