Chapter 219: Chapter 219: The Last Ti I Speak Up for You_1
Although nothing unusual was evident, rembering what had once happened here, the three grown n couldn’t help but get chills down their spines.
The Director quickly said, "I will find an opportunity to report tonight’s incident to the Principal, you two must keep your mouths shut."
The other two repeatedly agreed, wishing in their hearts to leave as soon as possible.
The Director took one last look at the eerie restroom, and finally said, "Let’s go."
The three n entered the elevator in large strides and hurried out of the building. The mont they stepped out of the building, they all felt a great sense of relief.
Half an hour later, Qin Sisi, Ning Hao, and the three school staff mbers were far away from the ominous building. In the twelfth-floor female restroom, the voice-controlled lights were long extinguished, leaving it pitch-black.
Suddenly, a cold wind blew in from the window outside, causing the cobwebs in the corner to tremble in fear.
A low and distant voice echoed in the air: "Li Shu... Li Shu..."
The chilling wind swirled around the restroom, gradually settling down. The deep voice again erged, tinged with a hint of confusion: "Gone? She could not have left on her own. Could so powerful mage have been here?"
There were no other sounds in the air, only a deafening silence in response.
The deep voice sneered nacingly, "Hmph, nine mages have already died at my hands, looks like I’ll soon collect a full set of ten."
The chill wind whistled through the restroom, let out a low growl like a wild animal, before swirling around and disappearing into the silent night sky through the broken window.
Ning Hao drove the car, taking Qin Sisi and Ning Yue back to their residential area.
As soon as they got into the car, Ning Yue opened her eyes and called out, "Brother."
Ning Hao was overjoyed, saying tenderly, "You’re finally awake. You scared
to death, you know?"
Ning Yue offered an apologetic smile to Ning Hao and said, "S-sorry, brother, I made you worried."
Ning Hao gently ssed Ning Yue’s hair and said, "All right, it’s fine. As long as you’re ho safe."
Ning Yue then turned to Qin Sisi, who was sitting in the back seat, and said, "Thank you, Sister Sisi. Sincerely."
Ning Yue’s words were heartfelt. Qin Sisi looked at the young girl’s glowing eyes and gave a slight smile, "Oh, you don’t have to thank . Your brother is right, it’s good that you are back safe."
Ning Hao started the car and asked Ning Yue, "Xiao Yue, are you feeling unwell anywhere? Let Sister Sisi check for you."
Ning Yue shook her head and said, "I am fine. I woke up when I took the Revealing Soul Pill, but I felt a bit sleepy. Later, when I heard strangers talking, I didn’t open my eyes because I was scared of causing you any trouble."
Qin Sisi regarded Ning Yue warmly. The young girl did the right thing by pretending to be asleep. If she had been awaken at that mont, the school staff would undoubtedly have asked her nurous questions, there was a risk of slips. Faking sleep was the best option at the ti.
Ning Hao took his elder brother tone and told Ning Yue, "Thanks to Sisi this ti, you must never wander off alone again in the future. Do not cross paths with any vengeful spirits."
"Mm-hm." Ning Yue responded, lightly nodding her head, she looked very obedient.
Qin Sisi observed Ning Yue curiously. She wasn’t used to her sudden docility.
After pondering for an instant, she asked Ning Yue, "Xiao Yue, can you tell us how you encountered that ghost?"
Ning Yue curled her fingers up to her mouth and thought for a bit before saying, "There is a music hall on the twelfth floor of the complex. Last night there was an event at the music hall involving a senior schoolmate, so I went over to watch. The concert was very lively, and in the midst of the fun, I lost track of ti. When I suddenly looked at the clock, it was already nine. I rembered that my elder brother would be waiting for , so I promptly decided to go back. On the way, I realized there was a heavy ’Yin energy’ in the restroom. I suspected there’s a ghost inside. Out of curiosity, I couldn’t resist checking it out, who could know..."
Ning Yue’s voice grew quieter, as she seed sowhat embarrassed. Her curiosity had nearly cost her her life, and it troubled her that her brother and Qin Sisi had to go through so much trouble to save her.
Qin Sisi considered this and then continued her inquiry, "After entering, did you see what the ghost looked like?"
Ning Yue shook her head in response, "No, I had only just entered when I heard a beautiful singing voice, then I felt sleepy. After that, I knew nothing else. By the ti I woke up, you had already arrived."
Qin Sisi heaved a soft sigh in her heart. Ning Yue hadn’t seen Yuan Lishu at all, let alone spoke to her. There was also the mystery of who or what the ’Brother Hei Shan’ she ntioned was.
While they were talking, the car had already entered their residential area.
Ning Hao stopped the car in front of the building where Qin Sisi lived and turned around to say, "Sisi, thanks for everything. Get a good rest when you get ho. We’ll treat you to dinner so other ti."
Qin Sisi smiled and said, "If anyone should treat, it’s . I still owe you a lot of money."
Ning Hao also laughed and said loudly, "No worries, pay
back whenever you can, I am not in a rush."
Hearing their talk, Ning Yue couldn’t resist chiming in, "Sister Sisi, if you marry my brother, wouldn’t you need not to pay back the money?"
Qin Sisi was startled she didn’t expect Ning Yue to bring up the subject again. She looked at Ning Hao helplessly and then lowered her head awkwardly.
Ning Hao, on the other hand, looked a little angry as he chastised Ning Yue, "Xiao Yue, you are not allowed to speak such things in the future."
They thought Ning Yue would be childishly arguntative, then turn her head away to pout in sulky silence, as she used to do.
However, Ning Yue watched Ning Hao with a sorrowful expression and said, "Brother, this is the last ti I try to help you."
Ning Hao’s expression faltered, and his tone imdiately softened, "Okay, we’ll let Sister Sisi go ho and rest. We can talk about everything else later."
After saying that, Ning Hao turned to Qin Sisi apologetically, "I am sorry, you should go ho first."
"Mm-hm." Qin Sisi replied, nodding at Ning Yue saying goodbye, she opened the car door and was about to get off.
"Sister Sisi, wait a mont." Ning Yue called out to stop Qin Sisi abruptly.
Qin Sisi paused, looking a bit puzzled at Ning Yue, not understanding why she was being held up. Surely she wouldn’t persuade her to be with Ning Hao again?
Ning Hao wasn’t aware of his sister’s intentions either. Though, he was sowhat fearful that she might say sothing she shouldn’t. So he said to Ning Yue, "Xiao Yue, Sister Sisi is already very tired. Let her go ho now."
