Chapter 190: Chapter 190: The Wrong Birthday Cake_1

As the ti continued to pass, the heat beca increasingly intense. Qin Sisi felt as if her body was about to burst into flas, even her breath felt scorching hot. She couldn’t help but let out a few moans of discomfort.

Just when Qin Sisi felt she could endure no longer, the burning sensation began to slowly cool down, turning from scorching to rely hot, then to warm, and finally back to normal.

Feeling that the Soul Pill had completely rged with Qin Sisi’s body, Ye You slowly withdrew his claw. The entire process had drained him of quite a bit of his Spiritual Power.

The intense heat from Qin Sisi’s body had transferred to his claw, he had been sowhat scared that she wouldn’t be able to endure it. But to his relief, she had managed to bear through it.

Her sheer endurance hinted at a great potential to beco a master of magic. But she lacked natural talent.

Keeping these thoughts in mind, Ye You couldn’t help but feel a mix of joy and worry.

Seeing Qin Sisi slowly open her eyes and acknowledge that her body had returned to normal, Ye You instructed her, "Now, take a look at your Magic Source."

At this point, Qin Sisi’s clothes were drenched in sweat, sticking uncomfortably to her body. However, upon hearing Ye You’s words, she imdiately composed herself, closed her eyes slightly, and channeled her magical energy to examine her Magic Source.

Soon, the rotating Magic Source appeared once more.

However, it had undergone a significant change. It was once a pure white, but now it had turned into a light yellow, almost akin to the fluffy feathers on a newly hatched duckling.

Qin Sisi was surprised by this, she slowly retracted her magical energy, opened her eyes, and inford Ye You about the changes in her Magic Source.

Ye You nodded with satisfaction, saying, "Very good, from now on, you are officially classified as a magic apprentice."

"A magic apprentice?" Qin Sisi blinked her gleaming eyes, inquisitively asking.

Ye You explained, "In the Demon Sacred Realm, magic practitioners are divided into eight levels based on the strength of their magical power. The apprentice is the First Level."

Qin Sisi couldn’t help but feel a bit disappointed, "So it’s the lowest level, right?"

Despite feeling reluctant to disappoint Qin Sisi, Ye You still answered honestly, "Yes, the Magic Source of an apprentice is yellow. A white Magic Source is rely a precursor to the Magic Source."

The idea then hit her that she had just barely stepped through the portals of magic.

Qin Sisi sighed, but a fighting spirit welled up in her heart. It’s alright, at least she was a true magic practitioner now, one step closer to Ye You. As long as she persevered and worked hard, she would definitely beco stronger.

Ye You observed Qin Sisi’s alternating expressions of disappointnt and anticipation, not quite sure what to say. The road was long, not too discouraging, yet one couldn’t mollycoddle by only delivering the good without the bad. He simply took her hand and walked together on their challenging journey.

"Are you tired? Why don’t you take a bath and rest?" Ye You asked with concern.

Qin Sisi smiled and replied, "I’m not tired but I should indeed take a bath."

"Go ahead. I’ll wait for you." The gentle and tender voice of Ye You was unleashed, his purple eyes were direct and unfeigned.

Qin Sisi was a little shy as she glanced at Ye You, then picked up her fresh clothes and went into the bathroom.

After a warm shower, Qin Sisi felt refreshed and was quite pleased with Ye You’s birthday present.

As Qin Sisi walked out into the living room, she saw Ye You ddling with her phone. In curious wonder, she asked, "What are you doing?"

Ye You put the phone down and replied, "Nothing."

Qin Sisi didn’t dwell on it. She had told Ye You that he could look up information on her phone, and since then, he occasionally used it to learn new things.

"What do you want to eat for lunch?" Qin Sisi asked crisply, sitting down next to Ye You.

However, Ye You replied, "I’ve already ordered takeout."

Qin Sisi was taken aback for a mont, then said in realization, "So, you were ordering takeout just now!"

Ye You flicked Qin Sisi’s nose with his claw and said loudly, "How could the birthday girl be expected to cook on her special day?"

A delighted smile found its way onto Qin Sisi’s face, and she nestled against Ye You on the sofa, waiting for their takeout to arrive.

About half an hour later, the takeout was delivered, and the sheer amount of food gave Qin Sisi quite a surprise.

The delivery boy, holding two large bags, stood at the door and kindly caution her, "Be careful, they are quite heavy."

Qin Sisi thanked the delivery boy, then strained to bring the two big bags to the dining table. She proceeded to unpack the boxes, opening them one by one.

It was truly a feast, with eight dishes including hot and cold, at and vegetables, as well as chicken and fish.

Just as Qin Sisi was about to set the food out, the doorbell rang again.

She murmured in surprise, "The takeout has already arrived, why is soone still ringing the bell?"

When she turned to look at Ye You’s mysterious eyes, Qin Sisi guessed he must have bought sothing else.

Upon opening the door, she found a mber of the bakery shop staff delivering a large birthday cake.

Qin Sisi’s heart was filled with joy. She gleefully brought the cake inside, took it out of the packaging, and a beautifully crafted cream cake was revealed.

The key point was, the cake wasn’t decorated with flowers or zodiac animals, but two tiny figurines. The male one was dressed in a black suit with a red tie, and the female one was wearing a pure white wedding dress, holding a bouquet of red roses. Their little mouths, outlined with strawberry jam, all wore a blissful smile.

This was a blatant representation of a wedding ceremony even the words were "Love you forever."

Qin Sisi blushed at the sight, she told Ye You, "You must have made a mistake. This is a wedding cake, not a birthday cake."

"Really? I had no idea. I thought this one was the prettiest and I liked it the most, so I bought it." said Ye You, yet his eyes concealed a hint of smug.

Qin Sisi knew what Ye You was up to. She grumbled, "Stop playing dumb, I don’t believe you’d mistake this."

Ye You chuckled and said, "I’m not fooling you. I really do like this one the best, because this is my dream."

Dream? To get married?

Qin Sisi’s face turned an even deeper shade of crimson. She retaliated in a soft voice, "Stop making things up."

With a teasing sparkle in his eyes, Ye You gazed deeply at Qin Sisi and announced, "I’ll cut the cake."

"Can you do it?" Qin Sisi stared in surprise.

"Let’s give it a try." Ye You replied, extending his claw to pick up the small plastic knife used to cut the cake.

Despite the lack of fingers, the knife seed to be chard in a way that it securely attached to Ye You’s claw.

Ye You used the small knife to cut two pieces from the large cake, then put the knife down and said to Qin Sisi, "You take it from here. I’m afraid I might ruin the cake."

Qin Sisi, with a beaming smile, placed the two pieces of birthday cake on small plates in front of Ye You and herself.
