Chapter 188: Chapter 188 You Don’t Need to Save Face_1
Ye You gave a quick peck on Qin Sisi’s cherry lips before slowly backing away from her.
Initially, he wanted to fetch a blanket to cover her up, but upon seeing the enticing sight under the torn clothes, he found his gaze unable to stray away.
Qin Sisi suddenly realized her exposed state and hurriedly crossed her arms over her chest, her face flushed red, as she murmured in protest, "You were too bad just now."
Ye You chuckled softly, his voice husky and alluring, "If I were bad enough, I would have torn this as well."
As he spoke, he gestured towards the pink bra on Qin Sisi’s body.
Qin Sisi’s face turned even redder, as she stamred, "You... you, get out."
Ye You glanced at Qin Sisi and turned around to leave, but instead of exiting the room, he went over to the open wardrobe next to the bed.
Taking advantage of Ye You’s turned back, Qin Sisi grabbed and pulled the blanket over herself in a flustered manner.
Inside the wardrobe, Ye You fetched a dress for Qin Sisi and placed it kindly in front of her. He softly said, "I wrecked a dress of yours, I will make sure to compensate you double."
Qin Sisi shyly ducked her head, unwilling to et Ye You’s gaze, and murmured, "Please leave first."
Ye You’s gaze softened as he admired Qin Sisi’s shy manner and decided no longer to tease her.
Just as Ye You was about to turn and leave the bedroom, Qin Sisi’s phone rang. It was at her disposal as she had placed it nearby while reading.
Both instinctively turned their gaze towards the phone. The display screen flashed the na Ning Hao.
Ye You’s expression slightly dimd, but he said nothing. As he was about to leave, Qin Sisi suddenly reached out and grabbed onto Ye You’s leg.
Ye You was briefly taken aback as he turned to look at Qin Sisi in confusion.
Qin Sisi bit her lip and softly said, "Don’t leave yet."
Ye You, guessing what was going on, turned back to face Qin Sisi and quietly observed her.
Qin Sisi then picked up her phone, answered the call and imdiately hit the speaker button.
"Hello, Ning Hao."
On hearing Qin Sisi’s voice, an inexplicable joy filled Ning Hao’s heart as he loudly said, "Sisi, I got my father’s birth date from my grandma. But she does not know about my mother and sister. So..."
Qin Sisi replied in a monotonous tone, "Okay, why don’t you just send your dad’s details to
first. Try to include as much detail as possible, and then let
see what I can do."
Ning Hao hesitated for a mont before suggesting, "How about I read it out loud for you to jot down?" This could extend his conversation with Qin Sisi.
Qin Sisi frowned and said, "I can’t jot anything down right now. Just text it to ."
"Okay then..." Ning Hao replied with a hint of disappointnt.
"That’s it. Goodbye." After said this, Qin Sisi did not wait for Ning Hao to respond further, and imdiately hung up the call.
Then, Qin Sisi lifted her head to look at Ye You. Her eyes were still clear, but a hint of inquiry and a dash of helplessness had crept in.
Ye You gently placed a claw atop Qin Sisi’s hand, uttering in a deep voice, "I understand. I won’t overthink anymore."
Qin Sisi nodded, her expression slightly aggrieved.
Ye You affectionately caressed her petite nose and softly said, "I’ll be waiting for you outside."
Ye You then exited the bedroom and closed the door behind him.
Qin Sisi touched her face; it was warm and probably red as well. However, she knew it was not because of any ailnt, but because of Ye You.
After calming herself, Qin Sisi changed her clothes and went to the living room to find Ye You, who was laying down on the couch with his eyes closed.
Qin Sisi walked over, sat next to him. Ye You sensed her presence and opened his eyes.
Qin Sisi showed Ye You the ssage from Ning Hao. It did not contain anything unusual -- just the na and birth date of Ning Hao’s father and the nas and dates of birth and death of his mother and sister.
Ye You nodded to indicate that he understood. He asked Qin Sisi to write all this information on a piece of paper and then said, "Let’s start."
Qin Sisi fetched a piece of yellow paper. Ye You fluttered his claws over it, infusing a sliver of Spiritual Power into the paper.
Qin Sisi then ignited the paper infuse with the Spiritual Power at the northwest corner of the room.
Everything proceeded as usual. After the yellow paper burned out, Lan Di popped out from the ground. His enthusiastic greeting was the sa as always, "Hi, gorgeous Sisi!"
Qin Sisi responded with a smile.
Lan Di’s gaze moved to Ye You as he mused, "We et again so soon. Seems like business is booming for you!"
Ye You coldly replied, "That doesn’t concern you."
Lan Di shrugged nonchalantly and said, "Okay, so who are we looking for this ti?"
Qin Sisi handed Lan Di the piece of paper with the details and clarified, "We’re searching for this person with the birth date, and his wife and daughter who passed away prior to him."
Lan Di looked at the details on the paper and furrowed his brows, "Are you looking for the living or dead persons?"
Qin Sisi was taken aback by his question and paused before replying, "They are all deceased, but we’re not sure if they have been reincarnated."
Lan Di questioned further, "Are their relatives looking for them?"
Qin Sisi nodded, "Yes."
"Are their relatives still living?"
"Yes."
After getting the needed clarifications, Lan Di expression turned somber. After a mont of thought, he said, "If it were about the dead, there would be no problem. However, considering the period of ti since their death, it is highly likely they might have already reincarnated. That complicates things."
Lan Di thought for a mont before adding, "For instance, imagine pointing at a just-born infant to an adult and saying ’This is your father from your past life.’ Sounds absurd, doesn’t it?"
Qin Sisi nodded. Lan Di had a point; the situation could get too convoluted.
Lan Di pondered for a mont then suggested, "How about this: I will figure out whether they have reincarnated or fallen into the Ghost Path and will inform you of this. But, as for their state after reincarnation, I can’t help."
Qin Sisi took a mont to think, then, understanding that Lan Di had his limitations, she agreed, "Alright, let’s do as you suggested."
Lan Di picked up the piece of paper and stood up. He dusted off his clothes and said, "So, I’ll get down to business. Being a human is hard work, and being a ghost isn’t much easier. I truly am a worker bee!"
Ye You rolled his eyes in his mind and coldly retorted, "Your hardship as a human was indulging in carnal pleasures!"
Lan Di froze for a mont before complaining to Ye You, "Hey Black Cat, can’t you give
so face in front of the beauty?"
Ye You replied coldly, "You don’t need any face in front of my woman."
Lan Di was left speechless, and stord off towards the northwest corner of the room. He disappeared into the air with a small leap.
