Chapter 1093: Chapter 1093: Killing Each Other

The burly guard was struck by the thin guard’s golden magic, leaving a ghastly, blood-soaked wound on his chest. His shirtfront was thoroughly drenched in crimson.

The thin guard, in turn, was hit by the burly guard’s fire magic. His entire body turned a charcoal black, as if he’d just crawled out of a coal pit. His silk attire was reduced to tatters, and his thick, luscious hair had been completely scorched off, leaving his neck crowned by a shiny, blackened bald head.

Luckily, both of them had only intended to intimidate Qin Sisi into leaving the Forgemaster’s Guild and had used only thirty percent of their strength. As a result, they were injured but not in any life-threatening way.

The burly guard’s chest wound only affected the flesh and skin; his bones and organs were perfectly intact. Similarly, the thin guard’s burns were limited to the surface of his body, with no internal injuries.

If they had harbored murderous intent just now, they likely would have suffered far worse fates.

The burly and thin guards stared at each other dumbfounded, simultaneously letting out a horrified scream: "Ahhh!"

Before their cries subsided, a young man dressed in blue appeared before them. Taking in their disheveled appearances, he asked with clear urgency, "What happened here?"

The burly and thin guards shivered and raised trembling arms, both pointing at Qin Sisi.

The young man followed the direction they pointed and saw Qin Sisi standing tall and unbothered. He paused for a brief mont, slightly startled.

Qin Sisi hadn’t intended to cause trouble. It was evident this young man’s stature within the Forgemaster’s Guild was higher than that of the guards. She took the initiative to nod and smile courteously at him.

Coming back to his senses, the young man cleared his throat and asked, "Miss, why did you forcefully intrude into the Forgemaster’s Guild and even harm people here?"

Qin Sisi raised her eyebrows and retorted, "Young master, may I ask which of your eyes witnessed

injuring them?"

The young man was briefly taken aback before replying, "You’re the only stranger here. If not you, then who?"

Qin Sisi smiled nonchalantly and asked in turn, "Are you the one in charge here?"

The young man raised his chin slightly, speaking with a touch of pride. "My na is Lin Kun. Rong Shuo, the president of the Forgemaster’s Guild in Midair City, is my master."

Upon learning his identity, Qin Sisi nodded and stepped up to the burly guard. In a clear voice, she asked, "You better not lie in front of your master. Now, tell him yourself—who cast the magic skill that injured you?"

The burly guard’s mouth gaped open as he looked at Qin Sisi, then at the thin guard, and finally at Lin Kun. His gaze flickered, and his expression was full of conflict.

Qin Sisi couldn’t help but feel amused, while Lin Kun, on the other hand, was incensed. "Speak up! Or do you want to take another hit?" he barked.

The burly guard shuddered in fright. Reluctantly, he raised an arm, hesitated for a mont, and finally pointed it toward the thin guard.

Qin Sisi curled her lips into a faint smile and turned her gaze to Lin Kun.

Lin Kun glared at the burly guard in frustration and then turned sharply to the thin guard. "And you? What’s your excuse?"

Seeing that the burly guard had already implicated him, the thin guard seed to lose his sense of guilt. Without hesitation, he pointed his arm back at the burly guard.

Lin Kun let out a helpless sigh, snapping, "You two useless fools—get out of my sight!"

The burly and thin guards, eager for any excuse to flee, quickly supported each other, hobbling away in a hurry.

Lin Kun turned back to Qin Sisi, filled with doubt. He wasn’t stupid; there was no way the two guards would fight each other unprovoked. Clearly, the woman before him had used so clever thod to orchestrate this.

"May I ask if you are a Forgemaster?" Lin Kun inquired politely, uncertain of Qin Sisi’s background.

Lin Kun’s civility prompted Qin Sisi to respond more gently. "I am," she replied.

As she spoke, she took out her Forgemaster’s dal and handed it to Lin Kun.

Lin Kun examined it and couldn’t help but exclaim, "A Third Level Forgemaster? That’s impressive!"

Though Third Level Forgemasters weren’t particularly rare in the Demon Sacred Realm, considering Qin Sisi’s age, her achievent was undoubtedly remarkable.

Qin Sisi modestly replied, "It’s just a stroke of luck. May I ask what level you’ve achieved, Young Master Lin Kun?"

Given that Lin Kun was the apprentice of the guild president, she assud he must also be highly skilled in forging.

Lin Kun looked embarrassed as he admitted, "Ashadly, I’m only a Second Level Forgemaster—not nearly as accomplished as you."

Qin Sisi felt his complints were slightly over the top. Just as she was about to say sothing else, Lin Kun abruptly remarked, "Qin Sisi? What an unusual na."

Qin Sisi’s heart skipped a beat. It hadn’t occurred to her that her real na was engraved on the Forgemaster’s dal.

She recalled how Yu Miao once said he’d seen her dal. That ant he had probably known her real na all along, while she’d gone to great lengths to make up a fake na to hide her identity. In hindsight, her efforts seed laughably futile.

Still, judging by the reactions of Ah Xia, Bu Luo, and the others, they likely didn’t know she’d been using a fake na. Only Yu Miao must have noticed her dal—but tactfully chose not to expose her.

Thinking about Yu Miao’s knowing glances and his cryptic advice, Qin Sisi couldn’t shake the feeling that he might understand sothing of her true origins. This might explain why he had warned her to be cautious before they parted ways.

"Ms. Qin, are you alright?" Lin Kun asked carefully, noticing her lowered head and distant expression.

Snapping out of her thoughts, Qin Sisi quickly replied, "I’m fine—just a little tired."

"Oh." Lin Kun looked concerned. "May I ask what brings you to the Forgemaster’s Guild? Are you here to lodge, sell your forging items, or take the Level Four Forgemaster’s exam?"

Qin Sisi let out a self-deprecating laugh. The Forgemaster’s Guild only bought items rated four stars or higher, and she wasn’t qualified yet. While she did want to attempt the Level Four exam soday, now wasn’t the right ti—finding Ye You was her priority.

Softly, she responded, "I’m just passing through Midair City and hope to stay here temporarily for a few days. Would that be possible?"

"Of course it’s possible," Lin Kun said cheerfully. "The Forgemaster’s Guild exists to provide convenience for all Forgemasters within the Demon Sacred Realm. Follow , please."

Lin Kun led Qin Sisi across a spacious courtyard to an opulent hall. The staff inside registered her information and handed her a room key.

Lin Kun explained that rooms for Third Level Forgemasters were on the third floor, and she could head straight there.

Qin Sisi asked curiously, "Are the rooms different based on a Forgemaster’s level?"

Lin Kun nodded. "Of course. First Level Forgemasters share a room with three others on the first floor. Second Level Forgemasters are on the second floor, two to a room. Third Level Forgemasters like you get private rooms on the third floor. Fourth Level rooms are suites, while Fifth Level are even larger and more luxurious. As for Sixth Level—in their rooms, you can host grand banquets. They are the most exquisite and spacious by far!"
