Chapter 1094: Chapter 1094: Ambushed by a Sneak Attack
Qin Sisi thought for a mont before asking, "Aren’t there levels seven, eight, nine, and ten?"
Lin Kun smiled and replied, "Currently, the highest-level forging master in the Demon Sacred Realm is level six. Do you know Master Shuo Yu of the Jin Gang family?"
Qin Sisi nodded, "I do." How could she not know?
Lin Kun continued, "He is a level-six forging master. He’s my idol. Everyone believes he is the most likely person in the Demon Sacred Realm to beco a seventh-level forging master. If that day really cos, the forging master’s guild will have to expand to seven floors because of him."
Lin Kun spoke with a smile, his eyes revealing a longing expression—perhaps he also hoped to beco soone like Master Shuo Yu.
Qin Sisi politely said, "I understand, thank you."
"No need to thank ; we’re all forging masters, after all," Lin Kun replied courteously.
Qin Sisi bid farewell to Lin Kun and returned to her room on the third floor. The room was not very large, about thirty square ters, but it was fully equipped and quite convenient. Plus, living alone ant her private space wouldn’t be disturbed.
She took a shower and changed her clothes. By this ti, the sky outside had already darkened.
Qin Sisi stood by the window and gazed outside. Perhaps because this building was floating in the air, the stars in the sky seed closer and brighter, like twinkling diamonds embedded in the deep blue night sky.
Ye You should also be under this night sky, but she didn’t know where to find him. She tried to use the Blood Covenant between them to sense his direction. Perhaps her magic power was too weak; she could only feel that Ye You wasn’t far from her but couldn’t pinpoint his exact location.
Standing by the window in a daze for a while, a wave of fatigue crept onto her forehead. She yawned and felt her eyes sting slightly.
These past days, traveling with the caravan had been exhausting. Although there hadn’t been grave dangers, the food and lodging conditions had been quite basic. Now, in a quiet and comfortable room, Qin Sisi desperately wanted to sleep soundly.
She stretched out on the soft bed and quickly drifted off into a deep sleep.
The forging masters she knew—like Teacher Wuduo, Master Shuo Yu, the president and two elders of the Scholar City forging master’s guild, and Lin Kun, whom she had just t today—all left a great impression on her, making her trust the forging master’s guild and lowering her guard.
By the ti she realized the danger, it was already too late.
In the dead of night, a thin tube slipped through the gap beneath the door, followed by a faint trail of smoke that floated into the room.
This process was completely silent. Qin Sisi, deeply asleep, was completely unaware. Her body only instinctively felt discomfort, her brows furrowing slightly.
Monts later, Qin Sisi finally sensed the arrival of danger. She abruptly opened her eyes and sat up. She had intended to get out of bed and check, but her body had barely left the mattress before collapsing to the ground. Only then did she realize she was completely powerless.
The door gently swung open, and a tall black-clothed figure stepped inside. His head and face were covered with black fabric, leaving only his eyes visible.
Another black-clothed figure!
Qin Sisi gritted her teeth silently. It was clear that this person wasn’t the one who attacked her back at Taiyi Mountain. Had she recently beco a magnet for trouble with these black-clothed figures?
She tried to summon her magic power, but her body was too weak. The Magic Source was within her, so close, yet she couldn’t summon any magical strength.
As she struggled to rouse her magic power, the black-clothed figure moved closer, pulled out a large black cloth sack, and directly stuffed her inside.
Qin Sisi stretched out her hands to push against the sack, but it was completely ineffective.
The black-clothed figure hoisted the sack over his shoulder and silently left the room, his figure swiftly disappearing into the misty night.
Qin Sisi wasn’t unconscious—she could feel herself being carried on the man’s shoulder as he sped along, not knowing where he was taking her.
Unable to summon her magic power, a sense of helplessness filled her heart. She could only take things one step at a ti. But at that mont, she suddenly recalled sothing.
Years ago, Tian Xiaozi had usurped his brother’s throne by first poisoning Tian Yu Sage Ruler, rendering him unable to summon magic power. Defenseless, Tian Yu was crushed completely.
Her current situation was strikingly similar to what Tian Yu faced back then. Could it be the sa poison? If so, then the identity of this black-clothed figure was far too suspicious.
Thinking this, Qin Sisi felt her heart sink further. She had no idea what awaited her.
After a long ti, the black-clothed figure finally stopped, throwing the black cloth sack onto the ground. Qin Sisi, caught off guard, hit the ground hard, grimacing in pain.
Then, the black cloth sack was torn open. The black-clothed figure, knowing she had no strength to resist, didn’t even bother tying her up. Instead, he barked in a low voice, "Qin Sisi, hand over the Jiu Hua Divine Cauldron, and I’ll spare your life."
Qin Sisi’s heart skipped a beat. She stared in shock at the black-clothed figure.
Who was this person? He not only knew her na but was aware she had the Jiu Hua Divine Cauldron.
Seeing her silent, the black-clothed figure bent down and grabbed her shoulder with one hand. Qin Sisi lacked the strength to resist, and it felt as if her shoulder blade was about to be crushed.
"My patience is limited. Don’t try to play tricks. Hand it over now, or I’ll cut off your hands and make sure you’ll never be a forging master again," he threatened viciously.
Cold dread surged through Qin Sisi’s heart. Becoming a forging master was the one thing that brought her the most fulfillnt recently. Losing her hands would an she’d be forever severed from forging. This threat struck her biggest vulnerability.
"If I give you the Jiu Hua Divine Cauldron, will you really let
go?" Qin Sisi stared into the black-clothed figure’s eyes as she spoke.
"Yes, I keep my word," the figure answered quickly.
But Qin Sisi caught the flicker in his eyes and the malicious curve of his lips.
He wouldn’t spare her. Even if she handed over the Jiu Hua Divine Cauldron, he would still kill her to silence her.
He had to be soone she knew. He was afraid that exposing his identity in the future could lead to retaliation, so he intended to eliminate such a risk altogether.
Despair welled up in Qin Sisi’s heart. Even when being hunted by the black-clothed figure from Taiyi Mountain, she hadn’t felt this hopeless. At least then, she’d been able to devise strategies to counter her pursuer. Now, she found herself entirely bereft of options.
Her body weak, her magic power utterly depleted, she was like an offering awaiting slaughter.
Suddenly, her neck felt cold—a longsword, gleaming with icy light, pressed against her throat.
It was the most common of swords, the kind even those who had yet to formally beco forging masters could create. It was of low quality. Ordinarily, with just a flicker of her magic power, she could have shattered such a sword. But now, she had beco a lamb at the rcy of this ordinary blade.
