Zhang Lingying didn’t expect him to suddenly say sothing like that, and she was montarily stunned.

The next second, a car roared past the spot where she had just been standing.

"Alright." Zhang Lingying nodded awkwardly, turning to leave.

Unwilling to let her go just like that, Lu Jing asked, "Did you drive here?"
Zhang Lingying was sowhat unable to fathom the purpose behind Lu Jing’s questions but still answered truthfully.
"No."
"It’s rush hour now, hard to catch a cab. I’m just done, let drive you back."
Lu Jing shook the car keys in his hand, signaling Zhang Lingying to follow him.
Zhang Lingying stood still, pointing at his arm, "Didn’t you injure yourself and need to go to the hospital? Can you drive now?"

Busy trying to show kindness, he had forgotten about it!
