Doduo
Not a big problem honestly but a slight hurdle none the less. While the little pixie was adored by everyone and very happy I couldn't help but consider using the pokemon ticket I had to give it a friend more on it's level. I hadn't even tried to train the thing for battle as I honestly saw no reason why I should. It was surrounded by a collection of so of the most powerful pokemon on the planet who more or less had all aspects of battle covered.-
Besides that I had to admit that now that I had decided to disregard the leagues limit on pokemon I had no reason NOT to use the ticket. Once I had this thought I wasted no ti at all digging out the long sitting ticket from my bag and tore it apart. Rainbow smoke rose from the remains of the ticket to form that all too familiar wheel. The first spin that told what pokemon I was going to get started and a minute later landed on Doduo. Not a species used all that often for anything beyond transport honestly but by no ans a bad one.-
Next up was the variant wheel that would say whether or not the Doduo would be a variant and if so how many variations it would have. The wheel spun for another minute before landing on "yes" which ans it would only gain a single variation. Finally the wheel with all the possible variations on it ca up and began to spin. I prayed to RNGESUS for sothing good and when I got the result I was unsure whether my prayer had been answered or not as it had landed on a strength variation.-
Strength variations were amongst the most common and oddly fitting for a physical attacker like Doduo. As the na implied this variation increased the physical bodies base strength allowing any moves that took the bodies strength into consideration to be much stronger than normal. As far as variations went this was actually a pretty desirable one for a Doduo as it played to it's species strengths perfectly. Ironically Doduo were also found in every region and as such wouldn't draw any odd attention for to suddenly have. Anyways soon the wheels turned into smoke that rapidly condensed until a black pokeball with white assents ford and landed softly on the ground.-
"Well let's say hello to the newest mber of our little group shall we?" I said to my pokemon who were watching with interest. I clicked the pokeballs release button and a bright red energy shot out and rapidly ford the figure of my newest pokemon as the connection between us snapped into place. The improvent I got from it was miniscule but the sa couldn't be said of the Doduo that wobbled unsteadily at the sudden and intense rush of energy it received from my side of the connection.-
Still this let get a good look at the Doduo and it's variation was not hard to spot at all. Each of it's muscles were larger and more defined than they should be but not to an unsightly degree. It was also on the larger size for it's species at about five feet tall unlike the usual four feet seven inches that the species had. The round fluffy brown body and two fluffy brown heads with large black eyes were all standard fare for the species just like the long sharp beaks and wide toed talons.-
Contrary to what the ga would have you believe however the species did in fact have wings, they were just hidden by the fluffy feathers on it's body. The species also couldn't truly fly either but rather use the wings and flying type energy to glide short distances after jumping high up with their powerful legs. The trade off for not being able to fly however was that the species were extrely strong runners. To the point in fact that they were used as mounts upon evolving to their second and final stage Doutrio that was much bigger and stronger.-
This particular Doduo however was looking around curiously after getting used to the sudden shock of bonding with , even if only artificially for now.

After checking it's stats out I wasn't particularly surprised by how average it was beyond it's variation induced improvent. It's ability was thankfully not as useless as in the gas where it could only be used to allow escape from battles that were prevented by other abilities or moves.-
In reality the ability gave the Doduo the ability to have good traction and balance in nearly any terrain without being hindered. A coveted ability for the species when they were intended to be used as a mount. "Welco to the family. I'm your new trainer and everyone here are my other pokemon besides that Garchomp over there, that's just Gaia's baby daddy." I said with a chuckle as the aforentioned Garchomp huffed at the description. Not because it was inaccurate so much as deaning. In my opinion it should have thought about that before stubbornly deciding it was coming with us.-
Freeloading reptiles aside the Doduo seed pleased enough to join the group and took all of like two seconds to be buddy buddy with the little pixie that chose to sit on it's back. I didn't really plan on starting the training for the Doduo for now though as both Kanto and Johto were in chaos. Giovanni decided to be an ass and activated the sleeper agents all over Kanto as a distraction to slip over the border to Johto just barely after clashing with Lance who was guarding that area for that exact reason.-
Lance unfortunately fell in the arrogant mindset most dragon trainers did and had underestimated Giovanni and Koga's true strength. This lead to them successfully crossing the border and getting away by driving him back since he hadn't brought back up in his hubris. Not that he could have anyways as the distraction Giovanni set off had nearly every remaining gym leader and elite four occupied. The fact I had been all but told to stay the fuck put while the league cleaned house only made my mood all the better.
