Chapter 2166: Chapter 2165: Concerns

Ling Feng noticed that the Lord of the Blue Sea seed reluctant to speak further, so he did not press the matter and sent the girl into the Jade Pendant Space.

The Lord of the Blue Sea thanked him and also returned to the Jade Pendant Space.

At this point, those dragging the boat had stopped their actions, staring blankly at Ling Feng and Amaterasu, lost in a daze.

Then, soone shouted, and they rushed toward Ling Feng and Amaterasu, yelling as they ran.

Judging by their actions, they intended to capture the pair.

Ling Feng glanced at them, feeling speechless, and shook his head: "Forget it, let’s not stoop to their level!"

Turning to Amaterasu, he asked, "Shall we go?"

"Okay!"

Amaterasu nodded slightly, and the two leaped, appearing dozens of ters away in an instant.

The shouting crowd stopped suddenly, their faces showing expressions of shock.

Imdiately, they cried out and turned toward the forest, fearing that if they delayed, Ling Feng might return to kill them all.

Ling Feng had no interest in them and had already advanced hundreds of ters toward his next destination.

The Blue Sea Continent has a similar day and night cycle to Earth. Ling Feng and Amaterasu ran along the beach for over two hours as the evening set in.

In the distance, Ling Feng saw a white structure standing by the shore, which seed to be dozens of kiloters away. As darkness approached, he said to Amaterasu, "Let’s hurry over there to rest for the night."

"Works for !"

Amaterasu nodded with no objections.

At that mont, the voice of the Lord of the Blue Sea sounded in Ling Feng’s mind: "Don’t approach that place yet. It’s getting late, so find a nearby place to rest."

Ling Feng was puzzled: "Why?"

"That place isn’t safe..."

The Lord of the Blue Sea hesitated, not explaining the reason clearly.

Feeling strange, Ling Feng paused and asked, "What’s really going on? Since arriving here, you’ve seed like a different person, why not tell

the truth?"

After a mont of silence, the Lord of the Blue Sea sighed: "Alright, I’ll tell you!"

Then he explained why he did not want Ling Feng to go directly to the building.

It turned out that the place used to be the residence of the Lord of the Blue Sea. He didn’t know what happened, but he was teleported to Earth, losing all his cultivation and becoming what he is now.

Days passed, as he pondered the mystery, and gradually realized that he must have been secretly hard by soone.

After consideration, the perpetrator must be Lv Wujang; there could be no other possibilities.

Therefore, the Lord of the Blue Sea didn’t want Ling Feng to go to his forr residence mainly for his safety. He also didn’t want to be reminded of his past glory, which was too painful to recall.

Having listened to the Lord’s reasoning, Ling Feng shook his head with lack of words and asked, "So you’re suggesting that I avoid going there and head towards the Sword Tomb instead?"

"Yes, you’re here to recharge the Rift Sky Sword. It’s best not to get involved in my past entanglents," said the Lord.

Ling Feng chuckled: "I’d like not to get involved, but with that girl showing up, do you think that’s possible?"

"No worries, once the task is done, you can send her back without further complications," the Lord replied.

"Really?"

Ling Feng pondered briefly, then asked: "Are you sure she has nothing to do with you?"

"..."

After a pause, the Lord said: "Enough with the questions, I’ll handle my matters in the future, I don’t need your help!"

"Okay."

Ling Feng nodded, deciding not to ask further, as he couldn’t understand why the Lord seed distant from him.

Since that was the case, Ling Feng planned to refrain from inquiring, until after the Rift Sky Sword was charged up, before asking again.

So Ling Feng said nothing, observing the surroundings: "Let’s rest here first, then later proceed to the Sword Tomb!"

"Alright!"

The Lord of the Blue Sea nodded: "It’s still a bit far, but at your speed, you’ll reach there in two days."

"Okay!"

Ling Feng replied with a nod.

After resting for less than two hours, he and Amaterasu set off again toward the inland.

During the journey, no words were exchanged. After a night’s rush, when daylight broke, Ling Feng and Amaterasu arrived at a reddish wilderness.

This place wasn’t flat and barren but filled with strange peaks and rocks casting a bizarre impression.

Ling Feng’s Divine Sense was operational, scanning the environnt before sitting with Amaterasu on a flat rock.

The Lord of the Blue Sea remained silent, but Ling Feng knew that following his indicated direction would eventually lead them to the Sword Tomb.

After a brief rest, as Ling Feng prepared to continue, his Divine Sense detected soone entering its range.

Those were people riding on strange creatures, their attire varied, but their appearance resembled humans from Earth.

The creatures they rode had four legs, but Ling Feng had never seen them before; they looked like a mix between elephants and rhinos, with a very peculiar design.

However, these creatures were fast, as they quickly entered the deeper range of the Divine Sense.

Seeing this, Ling Feng said to Amaterasu: "Not sure if they’re coming for us, but we have so company now!"

"Let’s watch and see."

Amaterasu nodded, his expression calm.

After waiting for about half an hour, this group of riders was only about twenty kiloters away but hadn’t approached; they continued in another direction.

That direction wouldn’t lead to the Sword Tomb, making Ling Feng curious about their intent.

With their distance increasing, they’d soon leave the Divine Sense’s range, so Ling Feng thought briefly and said to Amaterasu: "Since it’s not urgent, shall we follow and see what’s happening?"

"You have so thoughts, don’t you?"

Amaterasu looked at him.

Ling Feng chuckled: "Not really, just curious about their destination."

"Alright, let’s go."

Amaterasu nodded, joining him in tracking the group.

Their mounts were fast, but not faster than Ling Feng and Amaterasu, so without exerting full effort, they stayed close behind the group.
