Chapter 2155: Chapter 2154: New Discovery

The intercepted injections were handed over to the authorities, and Ling Feng quickly left the Capital City and returned to Guan Island.

By the ti he got back, the place was already a complete ss.

Smith already knew the drug had been intercepted and was hysterically cursing, his emotions on the verge of collapse.

Ling Feng’s original plan was to continue monitoring him and see who he would contact.

After all, without the antidote, they had no way to save themselves.

But what surprised Ling Feng was that although Smith and the others were panicking, they never contacted the outside world, which Ling Feng found a bit unexpected.

They didn’t even bring up the virus or the antidote again!

After thinking it over for a mont, he understood: once the Aricans realized the antidote had been intercepted, they must have sensed sothing, maybe realized they were being bugged, so they stopped reacting altogether.

It wasn’t hard to figure out. For sothing that classified to be intercepted mid??transport, there was basically no explanation other than surveillance and wiretapping.

He watched through the night until the next morning. Although the Arican base was in chaos, there was still no sign of Smith contacting the outside. Ling Feng guessed he’d already reported the situation through so channel Ling Feng couldn’t detect, so after thinking about it, he prepared to leave.

But before he could go, Ling Feng’s phone rang.

The satellite phone showed a strange number. Ling Feng picked up and asked, "Who is it?"

"Boss, it’s . I used an encrypted channel."

Shen Yuan said, then continued, "I just got so intel. Arica is about to enter Level Two alert status!"

"Oh?"

Ling Feng raised an eyebrow. "What’s going on? What are they planning?"

"Should be about the virus. They seem worried it’ll spread into their own country!" Shen Yuan said.

"Well, that’s normal enough."

Ling Feng nodded, thinking this was a textbook case of a guilty conscience.

But the Aricans were overthinking it. He could go into their base and spread the virus among their soldiers, but he wasn’t about to run into Arica proper and target innocent civilians. He wasn’t as filthy as they were.

He chuckled, then said to Shen Yuan, "The Guan Island base is already compromised. I suspect the Aricans will react soon and send reinforcents here. Help

keep an eye on that."

"Got it, I’ll do my best to gather intel!" Shen Yuan nodded.

After hanging up, Ling Feng decided not to leave just yet.

The Aricans definitely wouldn’t just abandon this place. Sooner or later they’d send support. He wanted to see exactly what they would do.

Ti ticked by. By noon, there was still no movent on Guan Island.

But in the afternoon, Ling Feng noticed that down in the base, more than a dozen large off??road vehicles were fully loaded and ready to go, as if heading out on so mission.

His Divine Sense detected no trace of communication with the outside. Ling Feng knew they must have received information through so thod he couldn’t perceive.

Sure enough, at three in the afternoon, over a dozen off??road vehicles packed with heavily ard soldiers drove out of the base.

Ling Feng was puzzled. The island wasn’t that big—what were they driving out for?

His confusion was quickly cleared up.

A roaring sound ca from the sky. A strangely shaped plane swept overhead and then dropped a huge crate.

"Air??dropped relief supplies!"

Ling Feng understood.

The plane that just passed was very likely an Arican bomber. Only sothing that fast could deliver supplies in such a short ti.

That kind of plane was ant to carry bombs, but now it was being used as a transport. Clearly, the Aricans were really panicking.

A huge parachute carried the big crate slowly down, and the off??road vehicles all drove toward the landing zone.

Ling Feng thought it over and felt he wasn’t done having fun yet; he couldn’t just let them take the stuff.

Once the supplies arrived and the imdiate crisis was resolved, the virus in the Arican base would soon be wiped out.

Ling Feng felt that wasn’t nearly enough—they hadn’t suffered enough yet.

But just as he was about to use the Mind Soul Art to control those soldiers and snatch the supplies again, his phone rang.

Seeing it was Shen Yuan calling, Ling Feng hesitated for a mont but still picked up.

"Boss, I’ve got news. The Aricans sent a bomber to air??drop the supplies!" Shen Yuan said.

Ling Feng was speechless. He laughed and said, "I’m already looking at it. The stuff’s on the ground."

"Oh, that’s not the main point. The key thing is I found out where those supplies ca from!" Shen Yuan said.

Ling Feng suddenly perked up and quickly asked, "Where from?"

"Biochemical Research Institute!"

Shen Yuan said, then added, "It’s one of Arica’s biochemical research facilities—extrely secretive. The outside world has no idea what kind of research goes on in there!"

"Oh?"

Ling Feng raised an eyebrow and then asked in a low voice, "Now that’s interesting."

"Yeah. The antidote supplies being shipped out of there pretty much confirms it’s very likely the place where the virus was made!" Shen Yuan said.

"Exactly."

Ling Feng nodded, then let out a cold laugh. "Alright, then I don’t need to bother with this side anymore. Let them focus on ergency rescue. I’m going to take a look at that Biochemical Research Institute."

"Okay, I’ll wait for you here in Washington D.C.!" Shen Yuan said.

Ling Feng grunted in acknowledgnt and hung up. His Divine Sense showed the soldiers had already loaded the air??dropped supplies onto the vehicles, so he stopped paying attention to them and Teleported away.

Soon, after a relay of Teleportations, Ling Feng arrived in Washington D.C. and found Shen Yuan.

Shen Yuan had already prepared the files. After handing them over to Ling Feng, he said, "Boss, that place is heavily guarded."

"Doesn’t matter. No matter how tight the security, I can get in."

Ling Feng smiled and picked up the docunts for a look.

His brows imdiately knit together. He hadn’t known anything about this place, and it turned out the Biochemical Research Institute’s background was that complicated?

The facility wasn’t exactly a state secret. Since records began, it had made the news headlines multiple tis for several virus leak incidents.

The whole world had once focused on that place, demanding that Arica make public the experints conducted there. But Arica was used to throwing its weight around and brushed it off with the excuse that disclosure would "affect national security."

And facts proved that the facility indeed stored many dangerous viruses. One staff mber had even taken a virus out and used it to kill five people and injure more than ten.

Even so, Arica still refused to admit anything, instead designating the Biochemical Research Institute as a top??level security zone and strictly forbidding any individuals or dia from approaching.

After reading everything, Ling Feng narrowed his eyes. "Trying to hide and not let anyone see? Then this ti, I’ll make sure you’re exposed completely."
