Chapter 351: BEACH FRONT SCENE
TWO DAYS LATER
Locked in ditation, I worked to harness the powers that raked my body. Asheral and Charry flagged my side as I accepted the heightened power of my shifter sea wolf.
" My lady," Charry stated. " The guards are calling . I will be right back "
"Mmhh" I responded.
" You are doing well. I can feel your serpent shifter powers stabilizing. Your sea wolf is rising and will be formidable. ’’ Asheral responded proudly.
" I can feel my shifter powers off balance. How do I ensure that they are balanced ?" I whispered.
" The inner core of your power and mind link. Reach out to it and you will be good to go. "Asheral encouraged.
It took
half an hour to get it done and once I could do so, I felt a calming wave in my power, and more my sea wolf connection to Bering had heightened and I could sense his emotions.
" Congratulations my love " I heard the words pushed through to the mind link
" Thank you Bering " I responded the sa way and felt a smile play on my lips. "
Charry rushed back at the mont and my eyes snapped open and I stood up from the mat on the ground.
" What is it?" I asked her.
" The guard has reported that the sea near the south of Sitka seems turbulent. I have sent them to have a second look but my gut feelings tell
that Cordelia has shown up" Charry reported.
" We need to et the others " I nodded and left the inner seclusion room at the villa and when we entered the living room Bering and Alexander stood by the large windows staring out into the sea.
" Charry reports that there is a turbulence disturbance in the south of the sea. I guess that Cordelia has finally shown herself." I spoke up as I approached Bering and he pulled
into his arms.
" We need to go and check it out " Charry spoke up and Alexander’s brows furrowed.
" I am against the plan that you have, ’’ Alexander snapped.
" You need to trust us, " I responded.
Asheral stepped forwards and said " My Lord, we need to borrow Yari and glado in human form"
"Why ?" Bering demanded and his eyes bore down at .
" Because we are going to play and act in the best play ever made " I responded. " Just let us handle this matter for now." I patted his chest and felt the emotion of unease rise to him.
" Fine. We shall be on standby and you have to call for help if you need
or I swear to the sea Haida I will spank you till you can’t walk. " Bering muttered through gritted teeth but Alexander’s huff told
that he was not in agreent without a plan.
" I will protect Charry, don’t worry" I raised my chin at him.
" Yes my Lady " He hurriedly responded and proceeded to release Yari.
" My Ladys’, it’s my pleasure to accompany you both ’’ Yari bowed to
and Charry.
"Bering, I need glado in his human form " I requested and listened to the light chuckle that ca from Asheral.
" As you wish for my love " Bering responded and then released glado. A light flashed from the spear and then stood a man who looked exactly like Bering. The only difference was the golden hair and he was taller and muscular.
" I am going blind " I whispered while Charry shook her head and laughed.
" Why is it that the spears all resemble you, my lord? " Chary whispered.
" I have no idea" Bering drawled and Alexander had a small smile playing on his face. " The gods are sothing else "
" No ti to waste" I spoke up and then winked at Bering as we left the villa for the south beach. Charry chose to be the driver and Asheral and I at at the back of the car deep in thought as anxiety laced my stomach, while glado and Yari were in the car behind us, and the guards looked like they had seen ghosts as Yari and glado climbed the car while they bickered at each other.
" Calm down " Asheral placed a hand on my arm. " I can sense your worry and Cordelia will be able to do the sa. You need to take control of your emotions. "
" I know but I can’t help it. ’’ I muttered and Asheral took my hand in hers and pushed her power in
and I felt my body calm down.
" That is the power of the mind. This is from glado" She laughed.
" I sensed it, " I smiled at Asheral. " Tell
more about Cordelia.
" Before she died, she was the darling of the serpent village. But when she turned eighteen she was diagnosed with a disease called Lupin. It’s incurable and it ate her immune system hence her shifter powers withered as she grew up. But it never touched her beauty and Aipaloovik fell in love with her. They got married and he devoted his life to save her and find a cure for her disease. That is how he went crazy since he tried all the thods that we could think of. Both pure and evil magic. But in the end, Cordelia died. He took away her body and disappeared. When he resurfaces his body is gone and all that is left is the evil magic of the sea. "
" Death is inevitable. I know how it feels to have a mate and even when Bering is far away from , I do feel a little crazy but that is not an excuse to massacre shifters and take their powers" I responded.
" When Es’s father passed on she was only eighteen. She ford a bond with Cordelia and they beca sisters. They spent ti together and they were inseparable. When Aipaloovik married Cordelia they all worked to save her life. When she died they were devastated. But as a mother, I had so many duties. Guarding the serpent shifter, the spear, and my children. I never moaned about his death and beca numb" Asheral confessed.
" You can remarry " Charry winked at her through the mirror and we all burst out laughing.
"She is still beautiful and young " I nodded at Charry and Asheral blushed.
" Stop teasing , " Asheral asked.
" What is the relationship between you and glado? I saw the way your eyes twinkled when you heard he was going to travel in his human form." I asked Asheral.
" What relationship?" She jumped right in in a dismissive but guilty mode.
" Oh boy, you have a crush on him, " Charry scread from the front seat.
" Watch the road young lady" Asheral deflected.
" I can understand. glado is handso and muscular " I smiled cheekily.
" He is arrogant, obnoxious, and noisy, " Ashral pointed out.
" You know him well, talking about how you have kept him safe for one hundred years " Charry nodded.
" I walked right into that one right " She huffed.
" Yes," Chary and I responded.
" Let us deal with Cordelia and then go after your happiness. " Charry added with enthusiasm.
" You are crazy, " Asheral rubbed her neck.
We approached the south beach and were t with a large wave that had ford and in the middle of it was a magic ball and Cordelia was in it. She was chanting and the sea bed rumbled as the guards lay dead on the beach. Next to her was Es and Dara who floated by her side.
" Call Alexander " I instructed Chary as she switched the ignition off.
She took out her cell phone dialed the number and put the phone on speakerphone. Alexander’s voice ca through and he spoke up " What is it?"
" Send soone to check the prison. I am staring at Es and Daria. They are here with Cordelia " Charry hurriedly spoke up.
" What?" We heard Bering and Alexander yell.
" Call
back once you confirm " Charry disconnected the call.
We alighted from the car walked to the beach and counted over one hundred enforcer guards whose shifter power had been removed. " What the fuck " Charry cursed and heard the car that glado and Yari were in arrive.
" All the guards’ shifter power had been stripped " Asheral whispered.
" You are finally here child " Cordelia’s voice bood before us.
" Are you talking to ? " I responded and crossed my arms in front of my chest.
" Why would I be talking to an abomination of a shifter? A fucking sea wolf had no right to talk to
" Cordelia raised her chin and her eyes blazed.
At that mont Charry’s phone rang and she put on speech as Alexander’s voice rose " We are headed your way. Es and Daria are gone from the prison. The whole place looks like a massacre ground as all the shifter guards are dead. Don’t make a move and let Yari and glado protect you " and the phone was disconnected.
" Oh my, you did not expect that those little walls could hold us, Mother?" Es’s cynical voice rose over the sea and it rumbled as the waves rose.
" What a bunch of crazy delusional fools " Charry snickered and raised her chin.
" Co here daughter, better leave those weaklings and join
" Cordelia addressed Charry.
" Tsk, daughter, I am an orphan with no parents woman " Charry responded with a snicker and Corderlia ’s surprised face was so comical that it made us all step forward with confidence and the deduction that her mother-daughter card had failed miserably.
