Chapter 350: CHARRY’S TRUE LINEAGE
Driving through the thin roads of Sitka I felt anxious as we approached the jail cell where Es was held. Alexander and Charry had confird that Asheral had gone to visit Es and Daria and we agreed to et there.
Alexander and Charry had already arrived and stood at the door of the Sitka jail waiting. Cherry rushed over to pick us up and we walked into the jail cell. Asheral must have sensed our presence as we approached and she quickly turned around to hide the tears that were falling from her face.
" What happened ?" Alexander spoke out.
I turned to the jail cell and Es was seated at the bed of the jail with a smirk on her face.
" You ca " She spoke up and Bering held
back.
" I did. That little dream trick that you sent your mother to plan in my head was a lousy act" I chuckled.
" What the fuck did you do ?" Bering growled and Asheral fell on her feet in fear.
" My Lord, she tricked . By the ti I realized it, it was too late. I never knew she knew mind control. When I was in the villa in the morning, I tried to control Zaya but she was so powerful that I was unable to. But when I pushed my powers to her Lady her mind was pure and Es was able to plan the visions and desires magic into her. What her Lady experienced was not false. It’s just that Es is evil and wants to replace her Lady with Cordelia" Asheral spoke up.
" What the fuck " Charry seethed.
" Did you know that you are the chick of Cordelia and Aiplaoovik?" Daria spoke from the other jail cell.
There was pin-drop silence as Chary turned around and faced Daria through the steel rails.
" So what ?" Alexander responded even before Charry could speak.
" Mhh, Cordelia is coming for her child. " Daria laughed.
" Child??" Charry spoke up and her voice was laced with a cold aura that we had never heard before. " I am nobody’s child. I am a guard and Alexander’s mate. No one can claim to be my brother even if she is an evil demon who is a spitting image of . I have my destiny and refuse to be dragged by shit that you all build. I am warning you, I am not afraid of chopping off her head if I et her. Sa goes for Es" She pointed at Daria and Es.
" Your mate is so powerful " We heard Yari’s voice boom from Alexander.
"Of course. Charry is very level-headed. She has suffered since childhood and it was not easy to convince her to accept our mating bond. Do you think that because of an evil woman, she would gladly accept her as her mother? I am afraid to tell you, you bet on the wrong person " Alexander responded.

" Go ahead " Bering nodded and in seconds glado appeared from Bering, glowing in gold, and then pushed his power to Asheral. After a minute, the power receded, and then he bood " I have cleansed you from the evil seed that your daughter planted and created a barrier in your mind. Es will not be able to do what she did again. "
" Thank you glado" She bowed in respect.
" I am only doing what should be done. You protected
for years and sent
back to my master. I will forever be indebted to you." glado responded with kindness and then turned to Bering. " My Lord, I know Asheral’s heart too well. She is loyal and kind. It was an oversight on my end this morning, I should have realized that she was acting weird and checked her mind link. I beg you to be lenient and kind to her. "
" I know. " Bering nodded. " Seal the minds of Daria and Es. Let them not have contact with Cordelia anymore. " He commanded.
In a matter of seconds after his words, glad pushed his power to Daria and Es as they scread in resistance. But their efforts were fruitless as glado sealed the mind bond and locked their powers.
" About ti" I seethed.
" It’s done my Lord, " glad said, then moved back into Bering’s hand.
" I will be waiting for Cordelia. Let her co and face her death " Charry raised her chin defiantly.
Bering walked towards Asheral and pulled her to her feet. " Asheral, from now on, move into the villa. I don’t want any harm to co to you. You are one of us and have always been. glado’s power will protect you. Since Mrs. Hemminga and Elder Zaya will be going back to Chugach, Haida will need soone by her side. "
" That is true" I nodded and walked over to take her hand in mind.

" She whispered and tears rolled down her cheeks.
" I forgive you" I pulled her into a hug. Asheral had been kind enough to ensure my babies hatched well and had been protecting them. What more could I ask for? No one chooses their parents and Es just used her mother’s affection to hurt .
" Thank you, my Lady, " She responded with a smile. I raised my hand and wiped her tears and she chuckled and it ca out as a sob. I pulled her into an embrace and then sobs ca raking all over her body.
" Calm down " I rubbed her back. " I understand you too well"
" Co on " Charry pulled us out of the jail cell and we boarded the car. Bering and Alexander followed us closely. " My lord, I will take them ho," She added.
" That is fine. Alexander and I will go to the office for a few matters and then we shall join you later. " Bering inford us.
" Keep safe " I inford Bering and he nodded as Cherry drove off.
" My Lady, as you have noticed I decided to take you ho because I have sothing to discuss with you " Charry spoke up from the driver’s seat.
" I know. That is why I complied, " I responded.
When we got ho, Godmother was pacing by the front door and when she saw the car, her shoulders sagged in relief. We got out of the car and Godmother rushed to embrace . " I am glad you are okay"
" Co on Godmother " I pulled her to walk back to the house as Charry and Asheral followed closely. Once we were seated I narrated to Godmother everything that happened.
The Godmother rushed to the Asheral side and grabbed her hands " Oh dear, you must have been hurt so badly. I am so sorry " And for the second ti, Asheral burst into sobs that were filled with pain.
" We never choose our families, " Charry asserted.
" Oh Charry, today you gave
hope and strength. I am so glad that Alexander found a mate like you. You are worthy of the General’s wife" I nodded at her.
" Evil must never reside in this life. We rarely have a mont of peace either in Sitka or Chugach. They are both our families and peace must exist for us to flourish. How can we let a mad woman wreck the shifter’s lives? " Charry asserted.
" My Lady" Asheral spoke up. " Only you can defeat Cordellia. The powers of the sea wolf are vast and now that you are mated to the serpent sea god you share his powers and the blessing of the mother sea. Plus glado the ancient spear powers are also extended to you. To take on Cordellia you need to ditate and have these powers rge with your shifter powers "
" Good," Godmother nodded. " What else can we do to help Haida?"
" A good plan " Charry interjected. " Cordelia will expect
to be moved that I am her daughter. But I will never waiver. Alexander taught
how to love and the people of Sitka and Chugach accepted
without question. Hence I need to have the best acting skills"
" You will make her think she has won you over " Mrs. Hemming nodded.
" Exactly. I need Yari’s help and will ask Alexander to lend him to

" I wonder if glado has a human form, " I thought out loud.
" He does, " Asheral nodded and her eyes twinkled in mischief.
"Oh I want to see it, " Godmother chuckled.
" We need to ask Bering," I nodded. " What is Cordelia after ?" I turned to Asheral.
" My Lady, she wants to rule the shifter breed. Walking on land and existing in the sea. She wants all shifters to bow to her. The king of wolves and the serpent sea god" Asheral responded.
" Delusional" Mrs. Hemming muttered.
" Those who are greedy for power don’t care about who they hurt. They move to trample anyone in the way. Apalaloovik was one crazy bastard. He was driven by grief and loss for years and his thoughts beca evil. Reviving Cordelia was his ultimate goal and he never cared that they had a daughter. I did not know it was you Charry until my Lord narrated it. You were rescued by the guards of Sitka. I am the one who placed you at the doorstep of the royal guard’s hos because I never wanted you to be raised by my dark serpent shifters. And you ended up as a fine woman and guard. I am proud of you Charry"
" Thank you Asheral. For saving my life " Charry nodded at her.
" Did the guards find a pendant with you ?" Asheral asked.
" Yes," Charry nodded and took out a pendant that was hidden and laced in a chain on her neck. The minute she removed it, it glowed and a blue ray emitted from it and we all stared at it in awe.
" Oh my words " Asheral stood up and walked over to stand before Charry went down on one knee and said " My Lady, you are the queen of the dark serpent shifters. This pendant recognizes its master and glows when it cos into contact with the leader of the dark serpent shifters. I pledge my loyalty to you, my lady. "
" Will you look at that " I bead to Charry and she burst out laughing as her eyes were filled with happy tears.
