Chapter 234: KODA COUNCIL ETING
One week later, I sent Tala to summon the KODA council eting. Lucian and I arrived an hour earlier and were in deep discussion when Godmother arrived.
" What are you two whispering about ?" She teased as we both rushed to receive her.
" It’s good to see you Godmother" I spoke up as we ushered her into the KODA council hall.
" We missed you " Lucian smiled warmly at her as he pulled a chair for her and she sat down majestically.
" You flatter , Lucian, " She chuckled.
" You are early " I spoke up, noting that he had purposely co early.
" Yes. I wanted to discuss the KODA council with new mbers. I know you have your plans and I would like to hear them.
" Great, " Lucian said as we sat next to her.
" I want to maintain Benjamin, Hunter, and Levy as mbers of the KODA council. New mbers will include Everest, Levy, Addison, Aurora, Tala, Zeeb, and Luican" I inford her.
" You have chosen well but I worry about the Aurora storm. " Godmother stated.
" Keeping her in the KODA council ans we shall have the power to control her," Lucian explained.
" You want to keep her in check " Godmother’s eyes widened.
" Yes. " I nodded.
" Why is Anisha’s na missing? She is a great wolf and sober when it cos to making decisions" Godmother inquired.
" I wanted to give my sister a rest, " Lucian said defensively.
" He ans that one Freki wolf is enough for the KODA council. He is afraid that if Anisha is appointed eyebrows will be raised and he wants to avoid that " Conri explained.
"Since when is Lucian sensitive to people’s thoughts?
" When it’s about , I am not concerned. But when it’s about Anisha, I want her protected and less involvent in the pack matters. "
Elder Zaya nodded and then the KODA council’s hall door opened. All the invited mbers to the KODA council eting arrived and we set on the greeting formalities and then settled down for the eting to start.
" Welco and thank you for coming," I spoke up and watched the way the rest of the mbers were worried about Aurora’s storm and only Godmother had chatted with her.
" Thank you Conri for the invitation," Godmother said.
" This eting invitation ans that you are the mbers of the KODA council that I have in mind. Godmother is here only to witness this agreent. I trust you all and want you to assist
in running the KODA council. "
Tala’s eyes widened and then she asked " Alpha, where is Anisha?"
" At the office, where she should be, " Zeeb responded.
" Brother, Anisha is a majestic wolf and should be part of the KODA council" Tala snapped at Zeeb.
" So you are all in agreent that all the mbers present are fit for the KODA council?"
" I don’t trust her, ’’ Tala pointed at the Aurora storm.
" I do," Lucian interjected.
" Why ?" Aurora Storm demanded.
" Because we need your wise counsel and assertiveness in the KODA council. You care about the pack and you will not let anyone harm the pack. Hence I will rely on you to deal with enemies or rogue pack mbers. "
"Of course. " She raised her chin.
" I can assure you that Aurora will not let anyone ss with the Golden shifter pack " Godmother chuckled softly.
" Good. I want to raise another matter of concern before you all sign the KODA council agreent. It will be sealed by your blood as part of the vows. "
" What is it ?" Everest asked
" I want to abolish the Freki pact with the KODA council. You all ask why Anisha is not here and yet the pact hangs over our heads. I also want my husband Lucian to be part of the KODA council. "
" I agree," Godmother said. " That damn pact has been dragged on for too long. The Freki wolf is outstanding, yes but does that an we have to be punitive and limiting?"
" Having Lucian as a mber of the KODA council is a good move" Benjamin nodded and I heard murmurs of agreent across the room.
" I have a question " Aurora spoke up and the hitched breaths were audible in the room.
" Go ahead" I encouraged her.
" Does the pack know you are the king of wolves ?" Aurora asked.
"No, " Lucian said.
" Why?" Aurora demanded.
" Because the enemy is still lurking and once we avert the danger, he had no problem informing the pack " Lucian responded.
" You are protecting him and yet he does not need your protection " Aurora stated.
Lucian snickered and said " You just want to boast about Conri’s powers. However, the KODA council mbers will not agree to it. Since you have been elected to be part of it, you will abide by its rules"
" So you just wanted to gag ," Aurora muttered.
" You can leave if you want to Aurora" Godmother spoke up. " You either co willingly or stay out of it "
" Lucian is also a powerful wolf. No one in this room can match his powers. As his mate and husband, I would not like to announce his powers until the pack is safe ’’ I growled.
" Calm down Husband," Lucian patted my hand.
" Fine " Aurora muttered through gritted teeth.
" Great. Are we all in agreent to abolish the pact between the KODA council and Freki wolves? Let us get rid of all the old rules. Tis have changed " Godmother stood up and added " I beg to leave and let you all continue with the discussions"
" I will walk you out " Lucian took Godmother’s arm and walked out of the hall. We all remained silent until he returned.
" Did I miss sothing important? " He smiled warmly as he sat next to .
" No," Levy responded.
" I wanted to discuss the matter of the Adora crystal. We managed to neutralize the Tabular crystal when we were in Tochigi but lost it to a seer nad Kaka. The good news is that Adora will be able to trace it if ever anyone tries to harness its powers. Even more so its power is drained and can only be activated after a decade. "
" Adora? " Aurora’s eyes widened with the realization of my words.
" Lobo Aria and Isamu Saki will not stop. Greed and lust for powers rule them and even more sore now that they have been defeated not once but twice, they will regroup and attack again. " I stated.
" The Aria cursed blood," Aurora muttered.
" No, you are here, can you explain the power of the Aria wolf" Benjamin asked.
" What do you an? " Aurora whispered.
" When the Late Lyal passed on, your son felt it. And I am sure that Lobo and Zineb did. How is it possible "
She was silent for a while and then responded " The Aria wolf is Bond Wolfe. It ans that it is deeply bonded and its offspring each share a bond. It’s not only when one passes on but also when one is hurt. Lovita’s bond is enhanced because of the power of the witches. I think that Lobo and Zineb have not yet mastered the bond and can feel it. "
" That would be my guess too " I responded to Aurora.
" But Lobo’s wolf Aria powers are not to be trifled with. His sense of tracking and rage matches his late father’s. Once they beco obsessed with sothing they will latch on to it for life " Aurora looked away in pain.
" I know. But being obsessed with Conri who is already mated is sick" Levy nickered.
" He is obsessed with Conri?" Aurora gasped.
" Yes" everyone in the room nodded.
" Why aren’t you using the power of the witches to protect Conri? Your mind link needs to have a strong ward that is impenetrable and if Lobo tries, he will give up and once" Aurora demanded.
" Do you an that if Aria realizes that he can’t penetrate Conri’s mind, he will give up ?" Lucian demanded.
" Yes," Aurora nodded.
" Good. I am praying to the moons that he has given up" Lucian huffed.
" Is Lobo awake? Would Lovita know?" I asked.
" Yes he is awake " Aurora nodded " It seems there is a powerful vampire beast around him. A female vampire that has powers of healing and comfort"
" That must be Sayuri, one of the Yakuza mbers," Lucian stated.
" Lobo is surprising
" I laughed and Lucian smirked.
" You ntioned soone else, Isamu, " Aurora asked.
" A hybrid wolf and the head of the Yakuza gang," Lucian stated.
" Since the bond between the Aria is deep, I will try and gauge all the Auras around Lobo Aria. For now, I don’t feel anything alarming around him. Neither is the Tabular Crystal’s powers near him" Aurora stated.
" You know about the Tabular crystal?" Lucian asked.
"Yes. Lobo’s late father was obsessed with it. It seems he passed down the obsession to his son. At that ti, he had no idea where to find it and sent scouts all over the world but they ca back empty-handed. His wolf could not handle the disappointnt and he died. Hence I suspect his shifter powers went into Aria, Lobo’s wolf. " Aurora narrated
" What?" Tala exclaid.
