Chapter 217: LUKE’S AWAKENING
LUCIAN’S POV
" Am hungry, " I whispered to Conri in the night.
" Let
get you food Lil pup. Get dressed and follow
downstairs after a while. Tizheruk has so news for us" Conri got out of bed and I watched him dress as I admired his lean body.
" You are insatiable " He muttered as he left the room shaking his head.
I smiled and closed my eyes to rest for a while but the loud growling of my stomach made
slither out of bed and dress up. By the ti I made my way to the Kitchen, Conri had already made eggs, and bacon and was making sausages.
" Husband, I could get used to this life " I laughed as my hand slithered around his waist.
" You should" He responded in a serious tone.
" We need to talk " Tizheruk’s voice rose from the kitchen door.
" I wondered when you would get out of bed," Haida said.
" Is there a burning issue? " Conri turned and raised an eyebrow at Tizheruk.
" We need to go back to Sitka" Haida jumped into the conversation. " We shall stay there for a while "
" You an you are relocating ?" I spoke up.
" Yes. Sitka is not far and we need to be with our people. " Haida emphasized.
" Why would you think that I would not support you in this decision? " Conri asked Tizheruk.
:" We have been together for so long, I feel that it’s hard to separate " He raised his hands in frustration.
" Sitka is not far. I can always get to you if there is a need. And you forget that we are connected. " Conri responded.
" When does this connection end?" Haida demanded.
" When fate decides" Tizheruk growled
" You don’t seem happy with us leaving " Haida seethed at Tizheruk.
Tizheruk stared at her and then responded " Sitka has always been my ho, why would I not be happy to live there? "
" I have no idea what this attachnt you have with Conri makes you uneasy to leave" Haida voices her thoughts.
" It does not. No one can force Bering to do what he does not want" Conri responded.
" So you know him better than ?" Haida’s eyes blazed at Conri.
"You intended to co here and pick a fight with my husband ?" I stepped forward and faced Haida.
She blinked twice and then stepped back " That is not it"
" You are mated to Tizheruk and yet you don’t trust him fully. How can you question the bond they have? Have you ever seen
question it?" I growled.
" There is no need to growl at her, " Tizheruk snapped at .
" Can you all calm down? I understand your worries Haida but Lucian is right. " Conri added.
Haida huffed and then walked out of the kitchen.
" Why are you not explaining to her? She is doubting our connection because you remain mute and don’t offer her an explanation for anything" Conri scolded Tizheruk.
" I have tried to explain to her multiple tis " Tizheruk gritted his teeth and rubbed his face with frustration.
" Explain more and more, " Lucian added.
" I am hoping being in Sitka will calm her down, " Tizheruk answered.
" So she is right. You don’t want to leave and you are doing it for her " Conri asked.
" I am doing it for both of us. Especially
who needs to set things right in Sitka. I fear that I might have exposed my people and hence it’s best to be there to protect them"
" That is a good move. And we shall be here to offer you any support that you need. " Conri walked over and placed a hand on Tizheruk’s shoulder.
My stomach chose that mont to growl and they both turned to
with smiles on their faces. " You better feed your mate, ’’ Tizheruk uttered and then he left the kitchen.
" I am hungry " I laughed and sat down on the little kitchen table. Ten minutes later we enjoyed breakfast together as Conri fed
and I chuckled in happiness.
" Do you think they will be okay ?" I asked Conri as we cleared the table.
" Yes they will" Conri nodded " Haida might be stern but she loves him"
" That is good. I don’t want any tension between all of us" I stated.
" How about we go visit Godmother today?" Conri suggested.
" That is a good plan. It’s been a minute and I also want to see Luke ’’ I responded.
" Co on" Conri pulled
as we walked up the stairs to shower and get dressed.
Two hours later, we walked down the stairs. Conri had distracted
as we got into the shower and we got into another round of making love, not getting enough of each other.
" Are you leaving to visit Elder Zaya ?" Haida asked
I nodded and said " Let’s go together"
She smiled and pulled Tizheruk to the car and we left the Freki mansion and headed to Elder Zaya’s ho. The sun was up and the snow had lted from the roads as we cruised on the main road that led to her ho.
As soon as we parked the car, Elanor rushed out of the house.
" Sothing is wrong, " Tizheruk said as we all alighted from the car.
" Luke, sothing is wrong with Luke, " she said and tears rolled down her cheeks.
We rushed into the house and found Mrs. Hemming holding Luke as his body spasd and shook. Elder Zaya was standing by her while Addison and Aspen looked on. Conri and Tizheruk rushed over as Elder Zaya spoke up " You are right on ti, he fell ten minutes ago and he has been like this since then.
I felt Conri push into his wolf mind link and then he gasped. I saw the way Tizheruk’s eyes widened and they both turned to
" What is it ?" I demanded.
" His body seems to be rejecting the Freki blood," Tizheruk explained." That is why he is in this state. His wolf does not want to beco a Freki but an Aria. "
"He is just a child, how can this be happening to him?" Elder Zaya sniffed.
" The Aria wolf does not want to mix with Freki’s blood even though it saved his life" Tizheruk stood up and stated.
" Is there anything you can do for him ?" Addison demanded.
"No. This is beyond us" Conri said.
" If his wolf continues like this, he will die," Tizheruk added.
" We need to help him, " Aspen rasped.
" Fuck" Tizheruk cursed and rubbed his face in frustration" I have never encountered anything like this.
I took my phone out and called Luna Elijah and explained the situation to her. She also inford
that she had never encountered anything like this before. I was desperate and walked over to Conri and whispered " Can you ask Adora if he can help"
Conri nodded and then rged our minds.
" I know what you seek, " Adora said. " But this is beyond us. His wolf is rejecting the Freki blood and that is all on him.
" There must be a way, " Lucian insisted frantically.
" There is one way but I am not sure you want to explore it. "
" Tell us, " Conri urged Adora.
" There is a spell called the Humanoid spell that can transfer shifter powers and stabilize Luke. Lucian has the power to do so but it has to be from parent to offspring. Hence you need to find Luke’s dad and he has to willingly agree to save his son’s life. But that ans that the dad will lose his life. " Adora narrated.
" Shit " I cursed.
" That will be a hard nut to crack. Lyal Aria loves his life more than anything else" Conri growled.
" What are you two whispering about ?" Haida asked.
" We might have a solution but it will be hard, " I responded.
" He will never agree" Tizheruk seethed as he spoke to Conri
" Are you able to read his mind?" Addison asked in surprise as her eyes darted between Conri and Tizheruk
" Sort off," Tizheruk answered awkwardly.
" The solution is to have Lucian perform the Humanoid spell that can transfer shifter powers from Luke’s biological dad to him" Conri spoke up.
" That bastard will never agree, " Elder Zaya cursed.
At that mont, Luke wailed in pain and the screams lasted for close to a minute then he quieted down after Tizheruk pushed his healing powers on him.
" This is just temporary. My powers can calm his body and not his mind. And it’s in his mind that his wolf is raging" Tizheruk spoke up.
" Co, let us go" Lucian announced " We need to get to Chugach prison and be Lyal"
"I will call Benjamin and Hunter to accompany us. Keep him alive until we return, " Conri inford Tizheruk as we left Elder Zaya’s ho and headed to the Chugach prison.
" This is a harder mission than dealing with Lobo and Isamu" I cursed as we boarded the car.
"Of course. It’s because Isamu and Lobo’s greed can be asured. But this is about parental bond and it cannot be asured."
