Chapter 384
Damien Hart laughed loudly: "It seems to be the case."
"By the way, my mom heard that I’m here and knew you love eating it, so she specially made so kimchi for you. I’ll have soone send it to you later."
Chloe Collins raised her eyebrows: "Alright."
She had almost finished eating the last batch that was sent to her, so this would be just in ti for a refill.
"Please thank your mom for ."
"You’re too polite. My mom would start crying if she heard that."
Chloe Collins couldn’t help but laugh: "How has Auntie been doing lately?"
"Very well. She has a new boyfriend, and they might get married this ti."
"That’s great news. Rember to invite
to the wedding."
Alexander Foster couldn’t hear Damien Hart’s voice very clearly and only heard so noise.
However, Chloe Collins’s words made him frown repeatedly.
A few keywords circulated in his mind: rumored girlfriend, mom, marriage.
It seed that the two of them had a deep friendship.
But how did they get to know each other if they were from two different countries?
While he was pondering, Chloe Collins had already ended the call.
She looked up unintentionally, and their eyes t.
"Do you have sothing to say?" she asked.
Alexander Foster hesitated for a mont and said, "Nothing."
She nodded and continued to close her eyes to rest.
"Do you want to go to the press conference tomorrow?"
Without opening her eyes, Chloe Collins replied with fatigue in her voice, sounding a little soft and cute, "What ti is it?"
"Ten o’clock in the morning."
He smiled slightly at the corner of his mouth, "Want to sleep in?"
Chloe Collins kept her eyes closed, "Hmm... not really, I’ll see how it goes."
She usually didn’t oversleep, this was a habit she developed while living in the temple. However, on weekends, she sotis wanted to hibernate at ho all day, being an idle "caterpillar."
Especially now that the weather was getting colder, she thought about drinking hot coffee while watching movies on the ho theater system.
It sounded quite cozy.
Alexander Foster didn’t press her, just said, "Okay."
-
The next morning, the cold wind blew through the tree in the courtyard.
After finishing her morning jog, Chloe Collins walked back.
Just as she walked in, Evelyn Thompson greeted her to have breakfast.
She glanced around and didn’t see anyone else.
Without realizing it, she asked where everyone was.
Evelyn Thompson laughed, "The father and sons are busy with the press conference and have already left."
"Did Robert go too?"
"Yes, he will have to manage the company himself sooner or later, so he should learn more from his father and brother when he’s free."
Chloe Collins looked down, deep in thought.
The press conference for the new product launch, which started at 10 o’clock, was bustling by 9:45.
Today, Tristan Collins and his wife, as well as Tessa Collins, attended, mainly for Raine Nolan’s sake.
Tessa glanced around and asked Raine, "Where’s Chlo-Chlo? Didn’t you say she’s the chief designer for Alex’s company?"
Not giving Raine a chance to speak, Tristan Collins cut in, "What do you an? When did she beco Alex’s designer?"
Tessa was taken aback, "You didn’t know? Didn’t Raine tell you last night?"
Raine lowered her head without saying a word.
Tessa figured it must be because the young lady was too scared to say anything.
So, she briefly recounted what Raine had told her the night before.
After hearing everything, Tristan Collins’s eyes were full of shock.
In his mind, he couldn’t help but recall the scene he saw at the casino last night.
It seed he had underestimated Alex’s feelings for Chloe Collins.
"Brother, you better think of an excuse soon. When Alex loses and Evelyn Thompson cos to hold you accountable, don’t just stand there clueless and act like you don’t know anything."
"Where did your daughter go? I wanted to give her a good scolding. How can she be so thoughtless? Does she really think she can be as successful as Raine if she wants to be? She’s so headstrong."
As she spoke, she continued to search the surrounding area for Chloe Collins.
