Chapter 151: Chapter 151: Fear She’s Uncomfortable
Chapter 151
An unexpectedly fragrant aroma.
Suddenly reminded of sothing, Chloe cast aside her idle curiosity and turned towards the doorway.
"Have breakfast before you leave." A warm male voice floated out from the kitchen.
Of course...
Chloe Collins didn’t look back, simply responded, "I’m eating at Aunt Evelyn’s."
She didn’t stop after speaking, pressing onward.
At the dining table next door, Robert Foster, already dressed in his school uniform, was eating breakfast, engrossed in sothing on his mobile phone.
When she got closer, she realized it was a limited edition luxury race car.
His eyes were shining, forgetting to eat his fried egg.
Chloe Collins chuckled, "Still not giving up?"
Robert Foster looked up, finally putting down his phone, "Shh — don’t say it so loud, my parents are over there."
"If you don’t even have that much courage, why are you playing with cars?" Chloe casually teased.
Robert Foster put down his fork, eyeing her suspiciously, "Speaking of this, you... do you have so secret backstory?"
His Riley Phoenix eyes squinted, mulling sothing over.
Chloe accepted the breakfast offered by the servant, taking her ti eating, "What do you think?"
Robert Foster paused to think, then blurted, "The guys who drove
ho yesterday are all local bigshots, they were calling you ’Boss Chloe’, showing you a lot of respect. You... were you are one of their ex-girlfriends?! Right? Right?!"
Robert Foster grinned with an "I-knew-it" smirk.
Chloe smirked. Her laughter was faint. She ambiguously responded, "You’re really clever."
Robert Foster cracked a silly grin, then suddenly widened his eyes, "Oh, bro, when did you get here?"
Chloe’s easy-going deanor faltered slightly as she quietly continued eating.
Alexander Foster brought two plates of nutritionally balanced breakfast and sat down, his expression a bit somber.
He placed the breakfast in front of Chloe.
Chloe glanced up casually, catching sight of his hand.
In that mont, the crisp sll of milk-mint scent drilled into her nose.
"Brother, why did you suddenly start cooking?" Robert Foster tasted a piece of beef and nodded approvingly.
Alexander Foster pulled out a chair and sat down, casually asking, "What were you discussing just now?"
"Oh, we were discussing Chloe Collins’s ex-boyfriend. You know, one of the guys who drove
ho yesterday, right Boss Chloe?" He winked at her knowingly.
"Shut up." Chloe didn’t have the mood to joke around with him.
Without looking up, she could feel his unwavering gaze fixed on her face.
The inexplicable irritation from last night started creeping back into her mind.
Robert Foster seed abruptly to have realized sothing. He nearly choked on his food, staring at the two of them before choosing to make his retreat.
"I’m full, you guys take your ti, I’m going first!"
Saying this, he grabbed his phone, greeted his parents in the living room, and bolted out the door.
The long dining table was left with just the two of them.
Occasionally, there was a soft sound of cutlery clashing, but other than that, it was quiet.
At one point, Chloe’s plate suddenly had a peeled egg.
After a while, there appeared peeled orange segnts.
Finally, when he sliced the steak into cubes and placed them on her plate, she furrowed her brows.
She paused, then said, "You don’t have to look out for ."
She had co over here to avoid this sort of situation in the first place.
Alexander Foster observed her serene profile and soon felt her discomfort.
He looked down, pondered for a second, picked up the napkin and wiped his mouth, stood up and said, "Take your ti eating, I’m going to work."
Chloe turned to look at his plate. He had barely touched his breakfast.
