After separating from Kui Yi and Weiwei, Wang Changguo pondered where to go. He planned to return to the room to hide, but he changed his mind because the ghost was with Lin Wan ‘Er. After the ghost killed her, it would co for them. If he were the ghost, he would check the room to see who was hiding there. He couldn’t just hide. He had to keep moving and see if he could find other people. That way, even if he were found, perhaps others would die for him.

He picked up speed. He could no longer stay on the second floor, so he decided to run up the stairs. He paced around the corridors. Most of the rooms were not locked. Based on the shadows, they were mostly occupied. However, he couldn’t hear any sound from any of them. He was not dumb enough to open the doors to check.

Perhaps the people at the hospital were already dead. Everyone that he t, including the patients and staff, was a ghost!

This idea clogged his mind. He slowed down and perked up his ears to listen to the sounds. The sky was fully dark. The lights in the corridor glowed weakly. Any sound was amplified in the silence. He could hear his own heartbeat.

From the corner of his eye, he noticed sothing. He turned to look down the corridor. A small figure walked out of the corner that led to the stairwell. It was… Weiwei.

Wang Changguo was overjoyed… Even though he just decided to abandon his teammates. In that situation, he felt like he was given a second chance at life when he saw his teammate. Weiwei was about 20 tres from him. However, as he got closer to her, Wang Changguo narrowed his eyes… Weiwei seed different from before. She hid in the dark, revealing only one arm and her face. Her eyes stared at him unblinkingly. Her single arm waved at him, as if calling him over. Where was Kui Yi? They should be together.

Wang Changguo frowned deeper. He looked around Weiwei, trying to find Kui Yi. Plus… a strange feeling arose. The shadow around Weiwei felt weird. It wasn’t an issue of lighting. It was more like she was surrounded by a fog. Wang Changguo paused. He stood there and decided to keep observing. However, Weiwei remained unchanged. She kept waving at him.

A few seconds later, Wang Changguo noticed that Weiwei’s actions were very robotic. It looked like she was a puppet. The angle of her every wave was fixed. Plus, her fingers were crooked, forming a claw.

Just as Wang Changguo took a step back and planned to run, sothing horrifying happened. The fog around Weiwei disappeared. A pale face poked out from behind her head. The ghost’s crimson eyes glared at Wang Changguo. Half of its body poked out from behind the corner. With one hand on Weiwei’s head, the other hand held a severed arm. The ghost was holding Weiwei’s head and arm to perform a puppet show for Wang Changguo.

“Ah…” Wang Changguo flew like the wind. “Help! Help!”

Heavy footsteps ca from behind him. Wang Changguo didn’t dare to look. He was worried that his knees might weaken. The footsteps were slow, but Wang Changguo sohow sensed that the ghost was catching up to him. The ghost’s one step was equal to seven of his.

Despite the fear, Wang Changguo had never felt so clear-minded. He was thinking about how to survive. He looked around him and decided against entering one of the unlocked rooms. He was dealing with a ghost. Even the strongest door wouldn’t stop it. He ca to the lobby. He had two paths before him. One, enter the dark stairwell to go upstairs or downstairs. Two, take the elevator.

No matter what, he would not take the elevator. After all, the elevator brought them to this world. Plus, he still rembered Du Feng.

Just as Wang Changguo gritted his teeth to enter the stairwell, he suddenly realised the footsteps had disappeared. It happened so suddenly. Then, the light in the stairwell appeared brighter than before. The corner of the stairwell radiated a warm light. It looked so safe. Wang Changguo swallowed nervously.

No. Where did the ghost go? He looked left and right. Then, up and down. The ghost disappeared… right before it was about to catch him. He didn’t think the ghost would let him go so easily. The hatred in that pair of red eyes was endless. The ghost… definitely wanted to kill him.

It dawned on Wang Changguo that the first Kui Yi who appeared was the ghost. The second Kui Yi, who arrived with severe injuries, was the real ghost. This ghost was so cunning.

It was fine that Weiwei had died, but he didn’t want to die. As he stared at the stairwell, the unease in his heart grew. He was certain that the ghost was hiding inside the stairwell, waiting for him to walk into the trap.

Kui Yi ntioned that the ghosts wouldn’t kill him randomly, unless you fell into their trap. Based on the chase, Kui Yi was probably right. The ghost should have caught up to him, but that didn’t happen.

It was waiting for him to make a mistake and fall into its trap!

The stairwell would lead to his death.

Wang Changguo was in his forties. His experience was sothing others couldn't rival. After a quick contemplation, he turned to the elevator. It was the only elevator that could lead to the underground morgue.

Determination flashed in his eyes.

Since this was a death trap, he would take this risk!
