"Yaoyao, you have a good eye indeed. I really like this dress. It’s a bit longer, so I won’t have to worry about exposing myself when bending over," Guo Jinnian praised Tong Yao’s taste. She always liked shopping with Tong Yao because every piece that Tong Yao selected was gorgeous.

Guo Jinnian, who had a great figure and was tall, was usually more accustod to wearing unisex clothing. When it ca to choosing sothing more feminine, she was at a loss as to what style would suit her.

Tong Yao laughed, "Then you should get both dresses! I’ll pick sothing out too. I haven’t bought new clothes in a while."

Tong Yao just smiled, "It’s okay, let her try it on."

The shop owner gratefully nodded at Tong Yao, considering giving her dresses a discount.

Having learnt a lesson already, Guo Yun, upon hearing Tong Yao willingly give up the dress, felt that Tong Yao must be scheming again. She wouldn’t be fooled this ti, so she accepted the dress from the shop owner and went into the fitting room.

Shortly after, she walked out of the fitting room wearing the dress. As soon as Xiang Youyou saw her, she frowned. Guo Yun looked into a mirror and was livid.

The style of the dress made her look ten years older. This was not ant for young people to wear, but more fitting for an old woman. Even her mother wouldn’t want to wear this.

She couldn’t take it anymore. Glaring at Tong Yao, she demanded, "What’s your deal? Did you do this on purpose?"

To which Tong Yao rely shrugged in feigned innocence and replied, "Miss, I really don’t understand what you’re talking about. I don’t think I’ve ever even spoken to you. Was there sothing I did or said to provoke you?"

Guo Yun was so furious she stomped her foot, "You deliberately enticed

to try this dress. You’re such a venomous woman."

Tong Yao chuckled, "If you want to snatch things from other people that badly, don’t bla us."

Guo Jinnian nodded in agreent. "Exactly. There are so many other clothes, but you had to snatch the ones we were holding. Sothing must be wrong with you."

"Who are you calling weird? What makes you think you’re anything special? Do you think you’re a high-class shopper just because you walked into a high-end boutique?" Guo Yun shot back, glaring at Tong Yao and Guo Jinnian as if she wanted to devour them.

Xiang Youyou stepped in, pulling at Guo Yun’s arm, "Leave it. Don’t bother arguing with these indecent people. You’re above it."

Guo Yun felt vindicated by this and said haughtily, "Exactly, debating with these unreasonable people does indeed lower our standards."

"Who are you calling unreasonable?" Guo Jinnian’s temper flared. "We’ve been courteous to you, haven’t we? If you think you’re all that after a few concessions, then you really don’t know where you stand, do you?"

Guo Jinnian never lost in a verbal brawl. She could handle n as well, let alone these two girls. She was ready to give them a piece of her mind.

The shop owner, seeing the situation devolve into a fight, quickly tried to intervene, "Ladies, there’s no need for a fight. We’re all here just to shop and buy clothes."

Guo Jinnian couldn’t hold back her laughter, "Who are you calling cats and dogs? You think you’re doing

Tong Yao also lost her patience, "Listen here, little girl. Think before you speak. My friend here has a strong arm, and if she’s pissed enough to fight you, you won’t stand a chance."

Guo Yun was taken aback, but quickly realized that Tong Yao was only trying to scare her off. She snorted, "Who are you trying to intimidate? I’m not afraid, you know. Do you know who my dad is?"

Guo Jinnian rolled her eyes, "I don’t care who your father is. Even if he were the Emperor, you should know better than to insult people."

"She should have known better than to manipulate !" Guo Yun shouted back while glaring at Tong Yao, "If she can manipulate , why can’t I insult her?"

Tong Yao sneered, "You’re the one with no self-control, always wanting to snatch things away from others. Now you’re blaming us?"

"You hadn’t paid for the clothes, so how can it be considered stealing from you?" Guo Yun utterly refused to back down.

Xiang Youyou, who had started the argunt, remained quiet ever since but observed Tong Yao and Guo Jinnian closely, speculating about who they really were.
