Tong Yao grinned at the shop owner, then entered the store hand-in-hand with Guo Jinnian. Aware that Tong Yao preferred to select her clothes without assistance, the shop owner returned to attending to two other won in the shop.

One of the younger ladies eyed Tong Yao, then pouted towards the shop owner, saying, "Madam, we are also custors of your shop, but the way you treat us is different from your attitude towards her. Do you look down on us?"

The shop owner was surprised by the complaint and quickly tried to explain, "I didn’t an that, don’t misunderstand. Miss Tong is a regular custor here, so I just greeted her when I saw her arrive."

She didn’t discriminate between custors. She had greeted the two ladies warmly when they walked into the shop, but they had still misconstrued her actions.

An older woman, trying to calm her younger companion said, "Yunyun, let it go, stop fussing about it. I quite like this dress, what do you think?"

Upon hearing this, Guo Yun’s face softened slightly, she then circled the older woman and admired, "Sister Youyou, you have a great figure. You look good in anything you wear. If I had your figure, I’d be shopping for clothes every day. When Hongwei catches sight of you in these outfits, he won’t be able to contain himself. He’ll insist on buying a ring and proposing right then and there."

Xiang Youyou was delighted by Guo Yun’s praises, "Then, I’ll buy this one and wear it tomorrow when surely, he will be attending the feast."

Tong Yao and Guo Jinnian were browsing the racks but hadn’t been paying close attention to the other won’s conversation. Tong Yao picked a black dress which seed classy. She felt it would suit Guo Jinnian perfectly and said, "Jinnian, you should try this one on. I think you’ll look amazing in it. Guo Jinnian always trusted Tong Yao’s judgnt; she believed it would be pretty. She took the clothing and went into the fitting room. Trying a dress on for the first ti, she was uncomfortable and fumbled for a while before erging from the fitting room.

"Yaoyao, isn’t this dress too short? My bottom might be visible every ti I bend over, right? Look, my knees aren’t even covered, it feels so weird! I feel embarrassed walking around in it."

Usually, Guo Jinnian was used to wearing trousers, even in the sweltering heat of sumr. This was her first ti wearing a fitted dress that highlighted her body’s contours. She felt incredibly uncomfortable and was eager to get out of it.

The shop owner joined in the praise, "Oh my, your figure is divine. This dress fits you like it was custom-made. And how stunning it looks! You don’t need to worry about the dress being too short; this one’s actually quite long. So dresses only just cover the buttocks. If you don’t believe , check out these ones."

Worried that Guo Jinnian wouldn’t believe her, the shop owner purposefully pulled out a few other dresses to compare. Unsurprisingly, Guo Jinnian’s long legs and tall stature made this dress particularly pretty on her.

Complinted by both of them, Guo Jinnian mustered the courage to stand in front of the mirror. Upon seeing herself, she too was swiftly taken by the dress. Upon examining the dress, she actually did find it beautiful.

Guo Yun said, "Madam, why didn’t you recomnd such a gorgeous dress to us? Are you worried we can’t afford it? Get us one to try on too."

Xiang Youyou was silent, but she too seed interested in the dress Guo Jinnian was wearing. Suddenly, she felt less pleased with the dress she had decided on.

The owner hesitated before explaining, "I didn’t realize you were interested in this type of style, my apologies. Each dress here is a limited edition, so we only have one of each, arranged as such to avoid any embarrassing identical outfit situations in the future."

As soon as Tong Yao laid her hands on a dress, Guo Yun loudly instructed, "Madam, bring

that dress. I want to try it."

The shop owner appeared distressed, but Tong Yao generously said, "Madam, let her try this one! I just casually picked it up, I’m not interested in this one."

The shop owner gratefully glanced at Tong Yao but before she fetched the dress, Guo Yun abruptly commanded, "Nevermind, don’t fetch it. I no longer want it, it doesn’t look good at all."

Tong Yao anticipated that Guo Yun would say sothing like that, thus she nonchalantly lifted the dress again, "Jinnian, go try this one."

Guo Jinnian struggled to hide her laughter, shooting Tong Yao an appreciative glance.
